Cave Story. The amount of people who STILL haven't played it angers me.
I agree 100%. I have the PC and WiiWare version, and both are simply amazing. Couldn't have done more justice with this game.

The Neverhood, all the way.
I've been dying to play this game since I heard about it about 2 years ago. Can't afford to buy it at the time (copies of the game are ridiculously expensive nowadays). I actually heard they were planning on having Dreamworks make an accompanying claymation movie as well. THAT would be stellar, not to mention the possibility of putting the game back on the shelves.
As for my own recommendations, I've got 2.
Goemon's Great Adventures. This is easily the best N64 game ever made, and one of the best platformers I've ever played. Plus, you get to play as a Japanese guy with spikey blue hair who beats people with a pipe. Word.
Amazing point-and-click indie game, with an amazing art style and an adorable story about a robot who risks it all to save his robot lady-friend.
This game looks quite interesting. The whole idea of tronics and being able to build pretty much anything using an in-game visual engine builder sounds like an amazing concept. I know what I'm downloading on my next free weekend.
I think the idea of giving zombies the ability to tear down blocks is insane. Definitely looking forward to how this mode will play out. I'll probably be crapping my pants in game from it. The sounds of a single, average zombie gimme the creeps, let alone a whole ravenous army of them.
You notice a package covered in beautiful wrapping paper, topped off with a bow. You motion towards it. It's simplicity tantalizes your senses as you begin to wonder what could possibly be inside. You move closer when suddenly...you snap back to your senses! Of course, it must be a trick! You break out into an unhealthy sweat when a crazy thought shoots through your mind: "What if it's a bomb?"
Without a second thought, you pick up the package and hurl it out your office window, in fear that it will explode [-1 Stamina]. You close your eyes, waiting for the explosion to ring through the air outside the building. It doesn't come. All you hear is...
ROUND 002
It turns out that you didn't hurl a bomb out your window, but delicious black forest cake. You see a tag lying on the floor. It reads: Thanks for sending that fax over! I made your favorite as a thank you! -Nancy
Of course, it had to be your favorite sinful pleasure that you tossed out the window. Why couldn't it have been key lime pie, or even a baby? Oh well. Moving on.
I'll name 3, since they all range on different favorite scales.
As generic as it may sound, Ocarina of Time. Honestly, this was the only game I played for 2 years straight when I was younger. I couldn't get enough of it. The world was so rich and beautiful, I couldn't keep away from it.
Another favorite of mine is River City Ransom for the NES. I can't name a game that I have more fun playing multiplayer with. There's nothing like beating generic dudes with lead pipes to get your blood pumpin'.
Metal Gear Solid 3. Do I really need to explain that one? Not only is it one of the most original, mind-blowing games on the PS2, it's also one of the most emotionally wrenching games ever made. Period.
-New-Gen Resident Evil (RE4 & RE5): Don't get me wrong. I really enjoy these games. Hell, I've played through RE4 at least 5 times, but to be completely honest, I don't prefer the gameplay over the older games. The fixed camera angles and amazing ambience from the original style of RE is what took the cake for me. Not to mention I thought the style of the controls made it more desperate and challenging. In the new games, you can easily knock an opponent away with a cinematic swan kick, and then proceed to unload ungodly amounts of ammo into your opponents. In the old games, you were the luckiest man alive if you had spare magnum rounds.
-Left 4 Dead: Also another game I enjoy, but I can't stand to play more than 1 round of it before I have to set it aside. The game itself is so demoralizing no matter what difficulty you're playing on. It almost feels like a chore to play through the whole mission, at times.
-Assassin's Creed 2/Brotherhood: The cinematic cut-scenes and the overplayed Hollywood epic aesthetic is so rehashed in so many games nowadays, it's not interesting at all. I prefer the original for it's simple in-game cutscenes and relaxed camera fixations. It may seem ridiculous, but the way a game presents itself to me is extremely important.
There's a shameless plug to my own deviantArt profile. I put just about all of my work on there, but not really any works in progress, so here, have a cookie:
How do you draw your pics? your outlines are very much clean and i have trouble getting that effect w/o a marker
That's because I do use marker. I used special illustration pens though, which is how I got that extra clean look to them. Normal sharpies can look clean if you're good with them, but it's very easy to make mistakes like having the ink seep into the paper and make what I like to call "pausing dots." I always draw out my stuff entirely with pencil before I line it with a marker though. Saves you from a lot of extra hassle and unfixable drawing errors.
This is some of the most brilliant and heartfelt storytelling I've ever heard. I already feel the deepest connection with Natch and the scientist. In a few short paragraphs, you've created something truly unique and inspiring. I consider myself quite the storyteller as well, and I already deeply envy your unparalleled abilities. Seriously, post more of this, please. I approve 110%.

Also, if you're looking into a manga to get into alongside your anime, I recommend Trigun/Trigun: Maximum, and Flame Of Recca.

Oh yeah, Shadow Of the Colossus is nice too.

You. Brownie points.
I love a ridiculous amount of music, but if I had to narrow down some of my favorites, I'd have to say:
Gorillaz
Josh Ritter
BAMF!
Queens Of The Stone Age
The Strokes
The Adventures Of Duane & BrandO
Just to name a few.

I am in agreement with this statement.
