If you shrink biomes down to 1, And just slightly raise the noise level in all the axes, and then boost the size of rivers you can crate worlds that look similar to how BETA biomes use to be!

I already started playing on that world. The landscape is a challenge in some places but then so was Beta at times

Best of all, we can at last lower the spawn rate of caves, ravines and mineshafts! Make these things rare like they should be and not make our underground a freaking spaghetti bowl.

Stuff I would love to see:
The only other thing is it would be nice if when you hover over an object it just shows the hit box, and not the outline of every single little block there made out of. Kinda ruins the joy of looking at them up close with all the black lines around every little bit that makes up the shape.

I think both chisel 2 and project red both have their marble in the ore dir.As you can use the chisel mod to cut the blocks into each others marble, and I only ever see it's marble generated when both are in play.
How about retrogen? A means to auto generate your materials in already loaded worlds? I would love to add this to my personal DW20 (edited) modpack but huge, and I mean 3000 in nearly all directions have been already explored. I would have loved to add this in. Although even with out the marble you have wood versions yush? If such worked with say Biomes-o-plenty, forestry, etc that would be so much <3
That or you can make the marble craftable, by some mixture of stone and dyes and other stuff, just so its still accessable if thrown into an already generated world.
You could also add your own chisel2 verients for all the marbles so they alone could also be used as decorative blocks with the chisel mod.
Lastly, I would highly recommend when applying textures to find a means to use textures from default rather than your own for anything that uses 'default' textures, make it easier to fit in with other texture packs.
Like I'm looking at a stone texture, woods, metals in your pack that could easily have just used the default from the base game, and thus would allow it to also take from texture packs. You would only really need to add textures for any custom materials, like your marbles. This also includes removing dup's from items and blocks, you don't need the same texture placed in both when there exactly the same. They can again be pulled right from minecrafts defaults/texture packs or share textures between objects.

Have a small request. There are other mods that already generate marble, like the chisel mod, redpower 2, and think a few others do too. Could you make it so this mod can use the marble from such mods, and if such mods are found, perhaps not gen its own and instead just use theirs? This way it can fit in when used along side other mods, chisel most of all as it add's a lot of its own decorative blocks and gens its own marble type.

You could get creative and instead of that make the center part where the top and bottom meat always match up and make the rest alternate.

The issue with random textures is it is 100% random. It will switch what texture everything has each time it loads. There is no way to assign something to always use one texture every time. Pretty much, every time you load the mob again, from saving and exiting, traveling worlds, or leaving the area and coming back its a flick of a dice what texture that mob will now have.
So you cant tame a black wolf and keep it back, it'll switch next time you load it, nor will the pups be the same texture, it will always be random.

Haha thanks man. Yeah life hasn't been to kind and the last year or so has been even worse. It's been getting better slowly. I've only been away from the nightmare for a month but thus far the stress has been easing.

There is no such thing as a PVP pack. What PVP packs are out there are cubbled together textures stolen from several packs with out permission. Packs wont make PVP easier, just find a normal pack you like and use it. If you want faithful just use faithful. No one is going to take faithful and edit for you or make you a full pack from scratch as that could take months of work.

Hey guys.. long time no see. Life has been a nightmare the past year and is only just becoming stable again.
If you wantr to find out what happened to me, I typed it all up as I had pretty much vanished from everywhere.
But I'm semi back now.. and it looks like I have a lot of work to do to get my back back up to date.

Anyway grats to Ignaf and Alv, the packs you have made are stunning and hope you continue them outside of this showdown... If it ever ends at this rate. 2017 is a long ways away!

Sorry to say though, but theres no tool that will make it 'easy'. Every program out there, even photoship, will make textures the same way, a pencil tool, and drawing the textures out by hand. Theres no easy way to texture, it's just practice. Gimp and Paint.net are also easy to use. Both are literality make new3 file, select pencil tool, select color, draw. same with photoshop as well, and shoot.. same for ms paint, the most mundane and bare bones basic default 'comes with windows' art program ever. Just it don't suport transparency.

Really we have enough of these... and those are just the ones with 'simple' in the name.. take versions like yours that at least give the pack a real name and you could easily tipple that number.
