My servers group and I spent over 7 months constructing this city:
The entrance to the main castle.
A semi-low quality image of the top side.
A screenshot of the castle, taken from the cities main farm plot.
A dry dock, used to construct ships safely and send them out by slowly opening the dam walls.
Our main tavern where players mostly go to.
A shot of the two dry docks together, a nice addition to our city.

Why is there no version for minecraft 1.8.9. The 1.8 version does not work. I don't want to have to play version 1.8.0 for the rest of my life because none of the modders are making modes for the newer versions.

I noticed a lot of people in this section have been complaining about the 1.9 combat system. But their arguments just seem to boil down to "I miss the old spam-click combat system". My argument here is not that I miss the old combat system, which was even worse than this one, but that the new one is still not satisfactory. In this case, however, I only dislike the combat system in PvE scenarios, not PvP scenarios. PvP combat is fine under the new system.
Fighting mobs in the game before 1.9 was time consuming and boring, and pretty much about pressing left click a lot. Now, fighting mobs is even more time consuming, still just as boring, and comprises of less clicks than before. This is because most mobs are designed around early game. Since
you can encounter most mobs very early in the game, the difficulty it takes to fight a mob is balanced around that point. Since early game mobs are designed to be simpler to make them combat-able early game, there is no need to use alternate tactics (shields, tipped arrows, spectral arrows, potions, etc.) on those mobs at any point in the game. Which means that doing anything other than using a sword and bow is a waste of time and resources. There are some late-game mobs that do allow you to effectively use these variations in combat, such as blazes, wither skeletons, ender dragons, and withers. But for the most part, it's a pointless endeavor.
To fix this, I propose that on top of mobs receiving better armor and weapons as local difficulty scales, they should also gain access to other combat items (zombies would receive potions and shields, skeletons would receive tipped arrows, etc.). Perhaps some mobs would get extra attacks, as well.
Spiders could gain the ability to jump high into the air and attack from above. Creepers could start actually chasing the player down when attempting to explode. Zombies could have a charge attack that causes them to sprint in one direction for a certain amount of time, and so on.

Where does the name Tredonia come from?:
It's a name that me and my girlfriend came up with for a private server we had setup and were playing on. Most of the Screenshots used In the scenery section were taken in the Kingdom Of Tredonia.
How long Did it take to make this pack?:
I started the pack in the beginning of June 2012 and it was released Dec 1st 100% complete and compatible for Minecraft v.1.4.5 If I had to guess I'd say I put in 500+ Hours in the span of those 4 months.
Why did I decide to start texturing?
Pretty simple explanation, loved Minecraft, hated default textures. So much like many other Texture Artists I took it upon myself to change the resolution and enhance the textures so the game was aesthetically pleasing to me and fun to play.
Will this Pack support any mods?I've never done any texturing for mods, mostly because more than half the time I cant get the damn mods to work to do the texturing for them -.- But if anyone would like me to make this pack compatible with their mods can let me know, and I'd be happy to make an attempt at it!
Doku (RPG) - Great RPG Pack maker, definitely inspired me with his style. The dokuCraft packs were one of the first packs I ever used.
Ovo (Rustic,RPG) - Just Awesome! love the feel when playing with this pack! The link is a continuation of the pack by Pinky4341. Thanks!
Glimmar (SteamPunk) - I can't Imagine how much work Glimmar has put into his pack, and the originality and creativity is astounding! His Retro-Science styled Mobs were a big inspiration for the Wooden mobs I did in Tales of Tredonia 2.0. Thanks for all your hard work Glimmar!Emperor Doom (Bad-ass) - If you haven't see this guys work then you Haven't seen Nothing! Kidding. NOTE: A lot of these 64x images are out of date, I will be updating them in the winter.
***Netherrack/Obsidian/End Creeper types will not spawn naturally, you must use spawn eggs in their respective Biomes, I added these mostly for fun but also for adventure map makers to utilize:)***
(NOTE: NO SHADERS were being used when I took these screenshots,The only effect you''ll see on these Screenshots is the overlayed border around the edges.)
Note: To run the 512x/256x version you will likely need to allocate more ram to Minecraft.I also recommend for Optifine users to set their Mipmap Level to "MAX" for best Visuals and minimal bleeding eyesAlso the 512x/256x/128x are not 100% done, but definitely playable in a survival world, So enjoy!

Jul 24, 2012Hey guys,Posted in: Suggestions
Something is bothering me for a while now in MInecraft.
Why can't water flow through fences? It's ridiculous and unrealistic.
This should be changed asap!
Look at this image:
My suggestion about fences looks much better, right?
Don't tell me it isn't
The rule is simple:
- Exclude fences from blocking water.
- Keep fences blocking players, items, monsters and animals etc.. as they used to do.
There are other items too that should added to this as well:
- Wooden fences (we saw this in the picture)
- Iron fences
- Netherbrick fences
- All half slabs (from low to middle water level should be blocked)
- All stairs (lower stair should be underwater, high stair should block the water)
This is much more realictic and gives the player a lot more to play around with.
