posted a message on Minecraft XBLA Worlds Endless?
My guess is that it's as /endless/ as it was in 1.6.

As in not technically endless, but big enough to seem endless.

It's been said plenty of times, that they plan to update minecraft XBLA to newer versions sometime after the initial release. So once they update, you'll get creative.

Tip for people who don't understand: When someone in the thread says Mojang aren't making minecraft for XBLA.. they mean they technically aren't. A different group of people are working on the xbla version.

As for texture packs. I don't see them being added for a while anyway.

The way I see a texture pack being added, is through some kind of menu. Where people upload texture packs to an online website (on PC) and they get added to the XBLA version where you can download the one you want. As well as delete ones you don't want anymore.

I think mods could be done the same way... the only real problem I see with this, is that they'd have to keep them updated. Which doesn't always happen. So they'd have to be automatically deleted if they're outdated, or simply removed from the list until they're updated, then re-added to the list.

posted a message on what would you do when its out and buy it?
    1: Play it.

2: Maybe try the tutorial out..even though I know how to play it, just to see.

3: Maybe get my brother into it.

4: Play it some more.. WITHOUT LAG FOR A CHANGE...since my pc lags a bit with minecraft.

5: Spend a few minutes getting used to the new crafting menu.

6: Build my usual crappy wooden house to start and try to actually keep a single world for more than a week this time.

I actually always wanted to build a house, then kinda build a town around it. Then kinda expand as I go, turning it into a city eventually, etc. I just never get around to it. I tend to build a house, gather recources, then get bored and quit. Maybe I'll actually keep interest enough this time to actually get part of that done.

What bothers me a bit about the multiplayer splitscreen video, is that.. I'd assume it's offline, right? Seeing as it's meant to be offline, between two people, on one tv. Yet I see weird internet-lag type stuff, where lighting doesn't update RIGHT away, or blocks take an extra half a second to disappear. That itself isn't bad, but if it's like that, it makes me wonder what else is laggy or off about it. And would it do the same if it was just basic single player, offline, without split screen?

Or I could be wrong all together, and it could be a LAN type of thing, where they're connected via two different 360s, but still.

I'm still curious how online servers will work. I'd really like to play with someone that lives quite a ways away from me on it. I can't do it on the PC version, because there's horrible lag due to the location differences. I would hope something like playing with people on the other side of the world would work at least a LITTLE better, and maybe be easier to set up the server in the first place.

posted a message on About skins in the XBLA version
As I said in another thread. "No one knows until it comes out." Unless someone here happens to work for Mojang. No? Didn't think so.

Couple things to make note of though, for people discussing this.

    - They probably had the default "Steve" skin in videos and while playing the demos and stuff, simply due to not having a proper sign in or anything(assuming proper skins are in the game)

    - If they have it so you can connect your minecraft account to your minecraft xbla account, and use that skin, the main site will have to be updated a bit, seeing as you can't edit your skin without buying a copy of the pc version of minecraft.

    - I doubt it will use your 360 avatar, considering it doesn't fit with the game at all, and there's already videos of people use "Steve" as a character. (I believe one of the "minecraft rip-offs(as people call them)" tried the 360 avatar thing, and it looks really odd actually.)

My guess is that skins won't be implemented right away, and everyone will simply have to be Steve for a bit. Eventually an update would get released(along with the minecraft site being changed a bit) allowing you to use your minecraft account's skin.

Another fun option, which is simply an idea I think would be interesting, would be a skin editor. Where you get a basic 3D model of steve, and you get a pixel brush and can simply draw directly on it, then save the skin to your xbox and/or minecraft xbla account.

posted a message on What update will it be in
It's obviously in 1.6/1.7 in the videos. Punching sheep got you wool, no hunger bar, no food from cows, etc. I doubt they've updated considering it would just be a lot more work to update it, on top of all the stuff they have to do to make it work right on xbox. So my guess is when it first comes out, it will be 1.7 or so. Then as updates come out, as said, it'll catch up to the pc version.

I would like to point out one simple thing people seem to forget around here though.. That since none of the people replying(myself included) work for Mojang, we have no way of knowing any information for sure. The only way to know for sure, is to just wait until it comes out. As info gets released, I'm sure it'll be updated on the main page, or in the FAQ thread above or something.

posted a message on Floating islands
There's a mod that adds more world types that..I can't think of the name. But it's probably just "more world types" or something. It adds more to the clickable button where the option for superflat and stuff is. It has a floating islands option. You could just make one with that?
