posted a message on do you think the new texture pack thing is needed?
I hate it, it is unnecessary. Never in my life have I heard anyone say 'Oh gee, the rest of my texture pack is 256x but I really want an 8x mycelium block.' If you need to make a lower resolution texture mixed with higher for some reason, make the texture pack in the higher resolution and scale up the lower texture.

It also in no way makes texturing easier. Instead of having one image, now I have 251.

The topic name is '12w25a predictions', not 'what is the most RPG styled thing you can come up with that would completely ruin minecraft'. Please stay on topic.

Weekly snapshots are not .jar files that mojang releases to entertain you. They are previews of the new minecraft mojang is working on released to the public to find errors in the coding. They do not necessarily need to have cool new hostile mobs added or 'nice herobrine' that leads you to diamonds. Snapshots with only bug fixes are a good thing because it means you will be able to play minecraft properly and be creative than have a bunch of cool stuff, but not being able to even place it which was a bug fixed in one of the 'boring snapshots'.

You people should be thankful Jens is even updating.

posted a message on Did the Terrain Become BORING? (UPDATE 6/5/13 - 1.7 is a biome update?)
Oh, I'm sorry for having an opinion. It won't ever happen again, I promise.

All I'm saying is that we should still have some flat areas as well as mountains (with slopes). In many beta worlds, I saw many flat areas. All the same, flat.

And as for chaos's red paragraph, I never said anything like that. That's stupid and wouldn't solve anything. All I did was express my opinions.

Would you like a little sense with your nostalgia?

I've been playing minecraft since beta 1.4 and i can tell you how happy i was when the new generation came out. The old generation sucked stuff stupid people suck.

I was once going from my shelter to a cave i found in what would now be a "ForestHill" and decided to go a desert since, living in Tucson, I thought that deserts are flat. Guess i was wrong. EVERY SINGLE CHUNK had some sort of formation that took me like 3 minutes to get through. What desert in the world would you see this?

The code genetation may be boring, but at least it's real.

See the difference? The old mountain has GRASS and TREEs and 50 BLOCK, GRAVITY DEFIEING OVERHANGS, while the real one is barren, stone covered and tall. you should know what a 1.2.5 mountain looks like. Now, which one would find most often on Earth?

Also, swamps. Swamps are a little weird at the moment and the color is odd but it's better than "swamplands" from 1.7.3.

Summary: The old generation is worse (In my opinion) than the current.

posted a message on The Danger From Below (Creature Mod request)
I loved the The movies and I'm sad they canceled Thunder from down under. I think I can make this mod, with my modding experience (none), but i'll learn java and stuff. Do you want the graboids to explode after 2 days and have 3 Shreikers spawn? 'cause that'll be awesome.
