I've almost finished the %variable% engine, with a dedicated section in INI file:
[AppVars]
mycustomvariable=anything i want #declaring a custom variable
[SomeBot]
setting=blahblah %mycustomvariable% #using the custom variable
logfile=log-%username%-%serverip%.txt #using built-in variables
Reserved vars will also be easy to add in the app. Currently:
%username% : the user name, obtained after logging in
%serverip% : the server IP address, without port number
There is a similar engine to do for MCC commands to allow using the same commands in main chat prompt or remote control without having to re-code them in several places of the app (this is what is currently done, and that is why sometimes a command is forgotten, eg. /connect in main chat prompt).
Also, how about using \command instead of /command to differentiate MCC commands and server commands? Not sure if it's a good idea, but it could prevent commands from being overriden by MCC, eg. a "/connect" or "/respawn" command that could exist on the server and would currently be unusable on MCC.

Ok with the custom vars, I've set shortcuts to load directely on specified server, the player "Player2" will have its own chatlog or I need to make a custom INI for each? And the server IP, why it can't include the port? For statistics purposes, like "my.server.ip_25565"?
That could be useful for doing MCC's commands, but hope to see the \respawn still available, \connect my.server.ip thing Or, MCC could detect the "/connect", like /quit one...

Don't know, since the different MCC instances should not interact with each other. Maybe you specified the same log file for the 3, the app caught an exception, and incorrectly displays that connection has been lost?
Maybe yes they uses the same logfile. and yes it displays connection lost message, should I enable debugging? (if this app has that feature)

PS: another issue, I have enabled the chatlog in the ini file, filtering all, as soon I load 5 mcc console, the 3 others disconnects. Why?? Before enabling chatlogger It was fine. It says "Connection has been lost."
My net is fine, 13ms ping. CPU is fine, RAM is fine too. argh sucks why it does that when I enable chatlog
Hi, I was checking out the beta forum, first thing I notice, It says at the TOP "Welcome MCFUSer151159!", I do check in my profile settings, name is TNTUP, everything is fine, and in the topics, I dont see Premium with it (Yes I am), Usually it has the "badge" saying the user were Premium?
I guess its related when I opened the beta for the first time, it asks if I want a new name, I kept using my Curse name.
In fact ... this command is actually available under this name in scripts and remote control.
But after re-reading the code, I forgot to add it ingame (ie in main chat prompt).
Fixing that right now, thanks for reporting this issue

The request was previously sent as HTTP GET arguments and needed URL encoding (like this: %12).
Now, the request is JSON-Encoded and strings also need to be encoded (like this: \u1234).
The only chars that are never encoded are A-Z a-z 0-9

This bug was previously fixed for old login procedures but was back in new login for 1.7+
This will be fixed in next version of Minecraft Console Client.

I'm afraid that the only way for you to be 100% sure the app is safe if you are paranoid is by reading the whole source code and compile it yourself. You may use Microsoft Visual C# 2010 express edition for that, for example.
If you are using a custom skin server, I guess that your server is in offline-mode.
You may use your account in offline mode by pressing return without typring your password.
In Minecraft 1.8, skins and capes will by distributed through every Minecraft server.
So with a plugin you may customize them on your server without modding the client!
Regarding changing the icon at runtime, the user face might be used for the GUI, but in the console app I doubt that would be possible. But if you make a shortcut to MinecraftClient.exe you may choose a custom icon in the shortcut properties

Dont allow players changing their minecraft names! Server Owners will be not happy because they have a sh*t ton of banned players and the banned player changes his name and he will grief the server again and creating another mess. eg: You banned 10 spambots this week. these spambots changes their names and they go on that server again to spam. See?
Like the griefers teams, they will change their name to grief servers again. Hope you see my point.
Lol, I almost have my mods updated for 1.2.4... Poof the 1.2.5 came out.... (I dont know when Jeb_ release it) but, They dont give a break for the modders? Can't keep a mod for a month. Like the previously beta ones... The update routine was good but this one is like too fast.
Also bukkit released their recommended build for 1.2.4... poof 1.2.5 Need to wait for the 1.2.5 RB. >.<
