Good thing I removed Avast long time ago (about their ad thing I don't remember fiasco) and optifine.net is safe. I do agree TileEntity's its maybe related to ads shown on the website.

Sadly Sp614x discontinued it so it doesn't work for 1.13+ versions of Minecraft, I tried numerous times to get Sp' attention, thats how I got his answer (replied on Optifine's github issues).
However, I found a way to get 1.13+ to work, but that requires manual editing json files. My english sucks so bad trying to explain it properly is a tough task for me haha

i keep getting this Error message when trying to login

How do i fix it?
Magic Launcher doesn't support Java 11 afaik Sadly @sp614x stopped working on it so we're on our own (like me)

I agree tho its the best launcher and yet still using it in 2020. I can dream for it but it won't happen if Sp gives the source code of it and let someone else work on it but I'm done begging him as he keeps ignoring or too busy to work on Optifine (thats understandable too) oh well. Stuck on 1.12.2

Heya, glad I found this thing! I tested it and I have a couple of suggestions^^
- Support for multiple accounts
- Allow to launch the same instance if already loaded
- Remember me email/user and password (ofc encrypted form) (the actual option only remembers the accessToken)
- Auto-reconnects if the token is invalid, preventing the user to retype its creds everytime
- Portable installation (I guess by copying the source code would work if I have the deps for it?)
When the token expires, it greets me the login window with no email or pwd, forces me to reenter them again.
Been trying to leave MagicLauncher but I cannot :/ Also works on Windows
Edit: Found your minecraft-launcher-cmd, works like a charm! Something I ever wished, command-line!!

That's a shame, he has responded on the Minecraft Forge forums though, along with some other devs, to questions about forge and optifine compatibility. The good news is they are compatible theoretically, but you can't easily get Forge to load Optfine first (or something like that, I'm not an expert,) so actually it's on the Forge devs to make it work. You used to be able to install Optifine as an internal mod on a Forge profile via Magic Launcher, but now it doesn't work with 1.13+ Forge, so that's a problem. I'm going to try this method suggested for 1.12 on the minecraft wiki https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Mods/Installing_OptiForge/Manual_Install/Modify_Existing and I'll report back if it works.
Unfortunately sp614x hasn't mentioned anything about Magic Launcher getting updated yet, but if more people suggest it as a solution for the Optifine+Forge problem, then maybe he will look into getting it working for Forge 1.13+

Don't think Sp614x would update/fix 1.13+ support, getting ignored either by creating an issue on Optifine's tracker saying it wouldn't work with Optifine 1.13+ on MagicLauncher, no answers, emailing Sp614x from the optifine.net website, no answers, here on the forums and in DMs...
He's quite active on GitHub or other sites, but ignores all MagicLauncher questions so I think ML is long dead but still usable for 1.12.2 (hence why I'm stucking to this version till forever). Though, I've found a workaround to make Vanilla/Snapshots/Optifine 1.13+ to work but it requires duplicate MC versions but I prefix them with .ml at the end of the folder name and files. I've already said that above or in previous posts, but seems not understandable because my english skills are so bad :/ No luck with Forge as it requires extra args and I think its hardcoded or not, it looks for "Arguments":"Game":something... rather than "minecraftArguments" I tried...

Possibly my last post on these forums. It's been fun. I will miss it. Made some good friends here, and I already miss some of them who drifted away long before this.
So, there is now a Forge version of VoxelMap for 1.12.2 and 1.13.2 available at Curse. Installs like any Forge mod. Missing some small features (mostly 1.13.2) due to lack of Mixin. 1.14.2 compiles and runs but lacks a way to keep track of world changes, and barring some changes from Forge or an updated Mixin library made to work with Forge, it will probably never be released.
But there is an update for the Fabric version as well, which will for the time being remain the primary branch.
- Much better at picking up surrounding chunks for the world map (on par with pre-1.14 releases)
- More robust world matcher for multiverse servers
They announced they will continue

Despite creating an issue on Optifine's issue tracker, no answer from Sp614x nor from optifine's email. I should be lucky as-is that still works. If Sp sees this, I hope MagicLauncher will still be supported!

*IT* does work for me even for 1.14.1 and up! Sorry if I was unclear when I've explained how to set it up, even provided a json file to download and try but well... Even there's no such way to contact @sp614x here or from optifine's issues as I got ignored and even in DMs here I got ignored. I guess I need to backup the messages I have sent to him before I lose access after June 16

Take a peek there >> https://i.qcfb.ca/1.13.2.ml.json then follow my instructions. Using this trick can make snapshots to work, even with 1.14! Tho, Forge doesn't want to work with my workaround, sadly
I kept the original 1.13.2's folder, be sure to make a copy of it and rename to "1.13.2.ml" then copy the 1.13.2.jar to the folder you've renamed and rename (again) into 1.13.2.ml.jar and copy the 1.13.2.ml.json to this folder and try with MagicLauncher. No issues at all, be sure to fetch 1.13.2's assets first from teh Mahjong launcher.. oops Mojang I mean! XD

Anyone who owns more than 3 accounts will have problems with Microsoft, as they like to lock your account. I'm forced to ditch them in the trash as I cannot prepare myself before the migration year (2021).
I'm expecting a community backslash within MS but I guess I might be wrong... so RIP anyone with lots of alts, lost access to the email or legacy usernames!

It seems like you don't really understand what an API is. An API is an Application Programming Interface that, in this case, you can use to *hopefully* be able to be able to more easily make and install mods, sort of like how Bukkit plugins work.

Alright, I completely understand why you feel this way, as I've never really seen Mojang release a snapshot with so many bugs, but most of these bugs seem like they would only take a few minutes to fix. As for the server list and seeing the IPs, I'm sure they'll bring that back because honestly, I never see people change the server name. And yeah, the super secret settings GUI is obviously not finished, but it doesn't take long to make a GUI either. It seems as if Mojang is just getting a bit lazy on us at the end of the update.
Also, name changing wont be an issue. I imagine that the main username will always remain the same, by name changing they just mean that they will be creating a new in-game display name that can be changed. When you use a command to ban someone using the nickname it wont cause a conflict because it will be searching for that display name and once it finds that player, it receives the players real username and bans that username. It's a lot easier to do than it is to explain.
I did also notice the other issues you explained, and they also look like easy to fix bugs. If they actually tried to finish it, they could have it done in less than an hour.
Yeh I hope they will fix it quickly and get teh IPs back.. They should do a listing style (Name | MOTD | Server IP | Players | ping bar) etc... A modder should do that. I think SpoutCraft already did something like that.

Well, they said they're getting ready for it... not like they said that way back in 1.3. Oh well, there's still a chance it'll come out in the next update. I don't think Mojang realizes how badly us programmers want that API ;P
Idk if im right, if they implement out that API... The API can detect out mods "im" using... If they see an illegal mod (some servers disallows Reis) so theres chances to get banned/kick/warn... Im just unsure what the Plugin API can do

Dude you don't know what you are talking about, the 1.7 update is going to be the best update that we've had in a long time. I haven't seen the network coding yet, and I will, trust me, because I'm a modder, but i'm sure it's not as bad as you were saying. Everything they've done so far is a step for something greater. Once again the preview is obviously not the final product, so not everything is quite complete yet. There is no reason you should be judging this until it is completely finished.
I know what Im talking, Ri5ux. Well I have server IPs that are online and it says "Can't reach server" (eg my CrapCraft server IP uses SRV and its online.) 1.7.1 snapshot isn't even "done", have you looked for the setting "Super Secret Setting" that should be renamed to "Shaders".
I have like 30 servers in my list and I never name them so idk what kind of server is (The IP isn't visible, its not hidden though) and sometimes the pinging thing is ever slower than ever.
Also I have found a bug x) Play a sound then press quickly ESC 20 times in a row. you'll notice the sound plays again even if its finished (eg a creeper SSSSS and boom) ... SSSS booom.. Boommm.. like that.
They can fix out issues so quickly? I bet 1.7.2 or... LOL 1.7.3 (Remember the beta days?) or 1.7.4. Who knows?
I feel namechanging very badly, and plugin API too (I hope it wont ban users using mods eg: Reis, inventory tweaks...)

EDIT: Never mind, it seems to be an issue with MultiMC 5.
As an aside, what is the purpose of selecting multiple resource packs? Does it use them all simultaneously? I'm trying to get multiple music packs to work (so I can have more than 12 music tracks max for Minecraft to draw from) but it doesn't seem to be working the way I thought.

Uh I dont like how It loads custom sounds, I prefer it being loaded in my custom ressource pack. That link you provided explains custom sounds needs to be in %appdata%/assets/sounds/...
So is there a better way to do this? Also, 1.7.1 s*ks. Going to be a bad update in my opinion. Network code is badly done, Shaders menu isn't even finished, able to change name is very bad, cause anyone can use whatever names they want on every server, (even if they banned, they try another server; Can be easily impersonated (eg: <Serverownername><insertbadwordhere>) this is a serious issue so why they plan it they dont even think it can be bad. Stop Mojang..., Ressource Pack sound isn't working (I saw it uses a sounds.json now) but I dont want to put my custom sounds in the folder. (I guess adding sounds.json in the ressource pack could work?) but its not noob friendly for customizing out sounds. Argh...
PS: Sorry for my bad rant for this im just upset about what theyre doing. I like new biomes though.
