I definitely agree on this actually. Do you know how many fire monkeys there are? Three. That's not counting evolutionary chains. And they're all within the last two generations.
As for Pokemon using tools, most Pokemon are smart enough to, but here are the ones that are known for it (that I can think of), and by "tools" we mean "some kind of object that isn't built into them". 1st Gen:
Kadabra and Alakazam have spoons
Farfetch'd carries a leek (that it uses to cut things)
Cubone and Marowak (obviously)
Hypno has a coin on a string 2nd Gen:
Delibird has a bag 3rd Gen:
(none) 4th Gen:
Burmy and Wormadam use materials around them as a cloak
Happiny carries a white rock (that's not actually an egg) 5th Gen:
Oshawott, Dewott and Samurott use their shell armor (blades, to be specific)
Timburr, Gurrgurr and Conkeldurr all have beams (to club people with)
Dwebble and Crustle have rock shells
Yamask carries a mask, which is arguably not part of it (the mask is actually its soul/past face)
Escavalier uses a Shelmet's shell as armor
I think that covers everything. So 1st gen had quite a few Pokemon that use tools, but 5th gen does have the most.
It's not the tools that bother me because yeah they are smart enough to use them, for me its the fact that two of the gen five's wear clothes. It's not a big deal but why?
I think that only Twilight and AJ have personalities that you could tolerate irl, Pinkie is too hyper, Fluttershy would make conversations awkward, Rarity is too stuck-up and as someone else said Rainbow Dash is too impatient.
To the previous topic: Probably AJ's is my least favourite. I don't think the audience needs a visual clue to tell when AJ is lying. And how does TS not notice?
I think it's because she's so used to her telling the truth that she just brushes it off.
But more importantly it was in the script.
There's a piece of string trying to get a drink, but the bar doesn't serve pieces of string, so he decides he'll just try. So he walks in and orders a drink but the bartender say "No, You're a piece of string, get out." So he leaves. After a while he gets an idea. He squishes himself out so he is thicker and goes back to try again. The bartender says "No, You're a piece of string get out." so he leaves again. Eventually he comes up with a brilliant idea. He ties himself and ruffles up the top of his head and goes and orders a drink. Yet again the bartender say "No, You're a piece of string, get out." then he replies "I'm a frayed knot."
(It's easier to get the punchline when you tell it in person."

Yes, the spoiler pyramids get really annoying sometimes...

Also if you notice, Buu is the only antagonist that Goku actually manages to kill.

A very... Disturbing story from those previews...
Except the very first one you did, that was nice because it was clean!
