    Couple more questions:

    one of the two item models uses a CustomMeshDefinition to determine witch modelResourceLocation it will grab based on the Itemstack. Will a blockstate format still work for this?


    Also how can I incorporate this for models with animated textures?

    I got 2 questions abou making custom models. Here are they:


    1. How would you get a model based off a section of a texture (drawTexturedModalRect does this but to draw GUIs). I'm not seeing much that would do this in Texture manager.
    2. How do you combine 2 models (or textures) into 1 compound model?

    This is a mod I've been planning for a while now, it's still in baby steps but It's on its way....


    Inspired by thaumcraft, BloodMagic, Auras Magica and equivalent exchange, I present you....

    SoulCraft
    a mod where you can litteraly take souls

    The concept is pretty basic, Everything is made of energy, from physical blocks to the air that surrounds you each types of energies can be manipulated by the soul.
    Every energy type is subdivide to 3 main 'pseudo energies', and can be reeassenble into anything you wish. Want to create diamond? Get the required energies for it.

    This mod is made with a balance intent. Getting anything using magic is not easier than finding it in a the natural world. In Fact in most cases it's harder.

    Features planned:

    Ability to make any spell imaginable
    Chunk manipulation and nature
    2 new dimensions: Limbo and sanctuary
    Research system (that is easier to use than other mods)
    block and material transmutation
    Mob creation
    Bunch of gadget and blocks
    and more.....

    Currently in the making
    Note Book - Item done Gui still in progress

    Next on the list:
    Either of those 3: Chunk core, Journal or research table (this one is pretty fat)

    Obfuscated methods are nice. Aside that Im not too spooked by assembly. Im just not sure what exactly I need to modify in order to make it work, Might be a fun challenge.

    It's a simple question but probably a complicated answer.


    I have an Item that I want to use but it doesn't fit any of the "DRINK", "EAT", "BOW", "NONE" enum.


    I've tried high and low to look for an answer, both in the renderer files and online. I can't find anything that makes any kind of sense.


    If anyone knows where I should look or got a good starting point tell me.

    kind of.... It still does it if I apply bonemeal to the top block but If do it to a middle block it replaces all the blocks below, causing it to drop.

    Putting that in the while loop means that it will keep checking blocks until it finds farmland. But you can plant on blocks other than farmland, can't you? I would change it to this:

    if(worldIn.getBlockState(pos.down(n)).getBlock() == this)



    only on farmland and technically pineaple. anyway I'll change it and see if it makes any difference although im not sure how it would make a difference
