In order to prevent griefing, I'd like to institute a whitelist system. Please post your IGN (in game name) here for me to whitelist you. I will be checking back constantly (because it's more fun than doing homework, so it's guaranteed I'll see your post fairly quickly :B).
After a bit of thought, I realized that doing a lot of Homestuck structure building alone on a pure Normal-difficulty survival server would be difficult. Consequently, I had this idea:
MINECRAFTSTUCK AU. Basically, all the characters find themselves on some DESERTED-ASS WORLD and they have to KEEP THEMSELVES ALIVE. I'll do a much better version of this later, probably in some sort of fanfic style, if I can't find somebody who has any experience at all writing fanfics XP.
I'll try, though. Basically, the current rules are thus: YOU ARE TO PLAY AS IF YOU WERE PLAYING NORMAL MINECRAFT SURVIVAL. HOWEVER, PLEASE STAY IN CHARACTER AS YOU DO SO. SPEAK AS IF YOU WERE YOUR CHARACTER. BUILD HOW YOU IMAGINE YOUR CHARACTER WOULD BUILD. IF YOU DECIDE TO RP TAVROS, MAKE SURE TO CONSTANTLY ***** ABOUT THE LACK OF THE EXISTENCE OF RAMP BLOCKS. IF YOU ARE DIRK, DAVE, SQUAREWAVE, THEN RAP.
Basically, I sort of imagine that Rose would build very nice, neat structures. John would build some slightly messy structures. Meenah would just place blocks ****ing everywhere and say "THIS IS MY ****ING HOUSE."
Decide for yourself, though.

Alright, SO. Server progress. I tried to set it up today, but with little success. I found my IP, and got the port (25565), but it refuses to connect any way either than using localhost, which won't work for anybody else.
If anybody has any tips, I'd love to hear them
(I've already opened the port for incoming and outgoing, so that's not the problem)
Oh goodness, picking a character I could RP even half-decently... I'll have to think about that.
I'm not sure if there's a mod for it, but it -might- be possible to find one so that a server doesn't show players are wearing armor, but they still have the armor's effects. It's that or live off of potions...

They're enchantments for helmets. Aqua affinity increases mine time underwater, and respiration drastically increases breathing time and decreases the time between suffocation damage.
Ahhhh. Okay. I don't mess with enchantments too much. I should, though.
