The older versions links are broken, could they be fixed please? I need a version of this for 1.4.7 to make sure all my modded ores are spawning correctly in non-vanilla biomes.

Direct links to the mods (should've thought this through):
No need for any e-mails & $5. Donating should be optional for something like this.

What are you smoking? You don't need to give your e-mail address or donate to download the mods and you are in violation by posting direct links.

Im useing MagicLuncher to Install NEI. I did Install CodeChickenCore and NEI and Forge, Forge first, then CodeChickenCore and NEI last. It says "no mod found" for CodeChikenCore and crashes the game when I open my Inventory. What am I doing wrong?

Forge needs to still be manually put into the minecraft.jar and ChickenCore and NEI need to be put into the CoreMods folder because MagicLauncher doesn't support that folder yet.

So long story short: I'm trying to set up a Minecraft install with all the mods that Tekkit uses, so that I can get away from Tekkit, and keep my current world.

I've pretty much got it down, to the point where I can log into my server that is still running Tekkit, and not have any conflicts aside from a NEI version missmatch message once I log into the server.

Now, when I try and approach one of the players bases, basically close enough to load the chunks, I get this error:

I do not get this error when on the server using the Tekkit client. I'm not sure what the problem could be, he has some Diamond and Crystal chests, no other IronChest items, and I have the same in my own base, which I can be around no problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Oh yes, and the Forge logs don't show anything else unusual on the client side, and don't show anything funny at all on the server side.
EDIT2: I was mistaken, one of the chests was upgraded from wood to diamond.
EDIT3: Ok, so all the crystal chests in that playes base were replaced with diamond chests, now I can load the area no problem. Going to test with crystal chests to see what exactly throws the exception.

I'm not quite understanding the TMI Uninstaller, the OP says to download and run, but it's just a .JAR with minecraft like classes. Where does the "run" part fit in?

posted a message on why are these in my single player world.
Completely uninstalling Java (Including doing a cleanup of your registry AFTER uninstalling all Java components), and then installing Java from a fresh download worked for me.

I've found that, for whatever reason, Java is not the most reliable of platforms and periodic clean installs are required to ensure smooth operation. On Windows platforms at any rate.

First of all, thank you for being hostile with me. It liberates me from the burden of trying to be civil with you.

I'd be happy to inform you of the world in which I live- it's called reality. The examples you cited are different from this situation in one important way, which really gets back to what I was saying, the concept that you attacked but didn't really address: there was a product. Fable III has bugs and lots of things that need to be ironed out. But if you buy Fable III, you get a game.

StarCraft II continues to receive patches and updates with balance tweaks, but when you buy it, guess what you get? A game. Again-- if you're advertising a game for money, you need to be able to deliver your product. Quit acting like I'm saying something I'm not-- I have no delusions about games being released with problems and sometimes downright unacceptable quality. But the fact is you get SOMEthing for your purchase. There's nothing you can really say about that, because that's how it is.

And by the way, if he doesn't give me what I paid for, that is theft. I didn't accuse him of it, but I don't get my product, and he continually ignores my emails, then yes, that is theft. Failure rate doesn't concern me, and it never did- so bringing it up as some kind of red herring to defend him is both irrelevant and ineffective. The fact is he has made a substantial amount of money on this game, and he has the means and resources to develop a better system for facilitating a more streamlined and efficient structure. If he can't even bother to make or have someone else make even a small, automated response system, I deem him unworthy of my money at this particular moment.

It sounds to me like you have this guy's **** in your mouth. What are you, his girlfriend?

Yes, I can see how I was quite hostile, I apologize for the personal insults I leveled against you, for they were out of place.

The fact is he has made a substantial amount of money on this game, and he has the means and resources to develop a better system for facilitating a more streamlined and efficient structure. If he can't even bother to make or have someone else make even a small, automated response system, I deem him unworthy of my money at this particular moment.

Unless I am mistaken, this is the meat of your issue, that he "has the means and resources", but you feel he is failing to use them, and as such is liable for the current problems with the system.

Last I checked, he has just hired a number of people, one of whom will be in charge of the website and associated online systems, so please tell me how you can state that he "can't be bothered" to do anything about this problem.

He is working on the problem, he is using his resources, things are being done. The jist of it is he never expected the sudden and massive response he has received, was unprepared, got caught with his pants down, and is stumbling to get things in order. He also happens to be failing quite a bit at the moment, as is evidenced by the bugs in the latest update, and the issues with the upgrade system.

So I still say, you have no place to claim he "should have" had systems in place, or "should have" done something by now. He is not purposefully defrauding you nor has he made false promises or statements regarding a time frame for which you will receive the account upgrade product. All he says, here http://www.minecraft.net/support.jsp is that if you can't get the game to work, you can request a refund within a week of purchase, it DOES NOT say you will RECEIVE you're refund within a week, or two, or twenty.

Horrible support? Yep! I personally am not surprised. As it stands, I can not play the game, with my PREMIUM account, because of a bug in the software introduced with the Halloween update. I suppose I should start claiming theft and fraud also, as obviously he should not have released the update with that bug in it, and should have put out a patch by now, and I don't know why he's not responding to my e-mails, he must be ignoring them.

I'd be miffed as well....That amount of money is alot to me nowadays too (And I'm a few years older than you!) especially after rent and everything has come out, so i see your point

Have you tried on his twitter or anything as well?

The onus is on the customer to manage their own finances responsibly. I operate on the foundation of if I can not afford to lose it, then I do not buy it unless I need it, or until I can afford to lose it.

If $15 is so significant a sum so someone, how could they afford to spent it on minecraft in the first place? Minecraft is a time sink, there will be no return on investment. In terms of finances, for all intents and purposes that money is thrown away as it has not been used to improve your financial situation or provide a necessary service or product.

As others have said, it is either a technical issue or due to a high number of customers with the same issue, hundreds of thousands of other people have received their product just fine, and Notch has nothing to gain and everything to lose by defrauding a tiny fraction of his customers.

    Quote from ItsEvan »

That's the thing though...there was a point where I was politely asking for an account, but its almost been a week in between. This is the first and only threat that I've made against Notch, four days in between my purchase.

You're threat is illegal, if you were serious about your claim of theft then you would be threatening legal action and looking to gather all those affected to form a joint case. Don't claim you're lack of money either, Notch has received millions of dollars in income to date, the majority of which is essentially cash, I KNOW there are lawyers who would take your case, if you had one, on the basis of receiving a portion of the settlement, on top of a relatively small fee.

You're neglecting to address one important nuance.

I paid money. I don't know how it is where you live, but where I come from, if you pay for something and don't get it, that is called theft.

You have not gotten it YET, hundreds of thousands of other people HAVE gotten it, you have no case for assuming, let alone claiming, theft.

Considering Notch's current setup and situation, a 1% failure rate in his payment processing system is reasonable, assuming no less than 1% of all purchases fail to be properly handled by the system, you can assume that roughly 5690 (as of now) people have paid for the game, but failed to have their accounts upgraded. As there is not currently an automated system for handling this issue, he must therefore sort through each and every e-mail, determine which ones are in fact from customers who have paid for the game and not been upgraded, and then manually update their accounts.

However, I would say it is more likely that the failure rate is around 0.1%, in which case the number of people Notch must help is significantly less, but that is still hundreds of people, and likely thousands of e-mails he must sort through, for only God knows how many people sent support e-mails without needing to.

Put simply: scale your expectations to the situation.

Oh, and I have to respond to this statement:
    Quote from WhiteMousse »
But if you can't provide the service or product you advertise, then you shouldn't be advertising it.

I would LOVE to know what world you live in, because in mine, what you just said, is a joke. Major companies, ranging from computer game developers to mortgage brokers to car manufacturers, advertise and sell products ALL THE TIME that do not work as the advertising claims, do not have adequate customer support, and do all they can to defraud their customers.

Firstly: The game is in Alpha so even if you could log in there is no promise that it would work anyway.
Secondly: there are THOUSANDS of people buying this game every day, some of you will fall through the cracks. Pester his twitter http://twitter.com/#!/notch as he tends to read and respond to that when he is awake.

Patience people, you paid a sixth of what most retail games are sold for, half of what the game will be sold for when finished, yea, waiting a month or more sucks, but honestly, if they were crooks, would they really have such a big, long lasting community? An error occured, it happens. If you need your money back to make rent, well, guess you shouldn't have spent it in the first place. If you don't, then you can afford to wait. Be persistent, you will be helped in time.
