DOES NOT WORK FOR MEH :'(
Every time I select this shader it either crashes my Minecraft or appears as regular Minecraft. Please help. I've tried installing and reinstalling about 6 times. Its such a shame because this mod and your shader is amazing please help :(
(I run a mac and am using Forge.... does that have to do with anything?)
In fact, I can't install any shaders at all.... PLEASE HELP ME!!

Shaders are not compatible with Macs. If you have custom drivers and a Nvidia card, then you can run some shaderpacks. With a Mac, your closest choice is Sildur's Basic Shaders, not his Vibrant.

I actually have a laptop with HD 3000, and these shaders run at about 12 fps

I see. Btw, his laptop has a 2nd video card or something.

Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 3000
    Graphics Memory: 64
2nd Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce GT 540M
    2nd Graphics Memory: 1024

That was what I based the 20+ FPS on since it is slighly stronger than my A8-5500 APU (About 100 more points in passmark benchmark).

sildur are these specs good for mc

    Processor Name: Intel Core i5-2410M
    Processor Speed: 2.3 GHz
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
    RAM: 4 GB
    Weight: 4.1 lb
    Screen Size: 13.3 inches
    Screen Type: Widescreen
    Native Resolution: 1366 x 768
Graphics Card: Intel HD Graphics 3000
    Graphics Memory: 64
2nd Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce GT 540M
    2nd Graphics Memory: 1024
Storage Capacity (as Tested): 500 GB
    Rotation Speed: 5400 rpm
    Networking Options: 802.11n

You could run the basic and no shaders with good FPS. Although you can run the SEUS, Chocapic, MrMeep, and Sildur's version, your FPS would be smaller or les enjoyable, but it would be 20+, 20 being the bare minimum.

Look at the screenshot, does it look like the shaders are working? :P

    May I have your specs?

Edit: I'm think you may have to use it zipped up. So the Meep RC5 folder should be a zip file, and the shaderpacks folder is in the zip. You need to download it, open the zip, and drag the whole zip file onto the shaderpacks. Try that before you run in extracted mode.

Specular mapping is block reflections. Also, the modding community being dead is a lie. You see, MCP isn't updated, so many mods actually couldn't update even if they were forced to.

    http://mcp.ocean-labs.de/news.php?extend.10.1

Progress on MCP. Karyonix plans to update this after MCP. About SonicEther, I would do a facedesk. Check his facebook page. He's taking his time because the public rushed him to release v10, and v10 had some screwed up bugs thanks to the people that complained. His facebook page has some progress, though it's the most reliable source to tell his progress(though he doesn't post often). He has figured out an FPS boost coming in the version after v10.1(unreleased). And is planning to upload v10.1 as soon as his website loads up(yep, finished shaderpack).

Some mods will halt. But other modders will be having a break until MCP updates again. MCP is the base, forge and all that is what comes off it. So mods are solely dependent on that.

But with a 540M, you are going to risk a lot of factors of how Minecraft looks. Optifine barely helps with shaders, and even worse with FPS plus. The render distance is barely affected for me even on tiny.

Bravo my friend. You have made this young man really happy. I've been having trouble with shaders working on my Linux device and for some odd reason never decided to try your shaders. Finally, shaders that work with my Intel Sandy Bridge Mobile graphics card. Your Pre7.1 crashes my MInecraft so I'll wait for a stable version but your Basic shaders 1.0 works like a charm. Whatever you did please do tell me, if you can, so I can incorporate it to Mr. Meeps. Thank you once again, will be keeping an eye on this post.

Basic shaders v1.0 has basic features, lol. The Pre 7.1 is for macs with Nvidia cards or Nvidia cards themselves (I'm testing for AMD compatibility, and it works right now). MrMeep's shaders may also crash, because it is like Pre 7.1, not the basic. Try running chocapic's WIP 7, 8, and 9, since MrMeep's are based off 7 and 8.

First, intel itself has not enough power to run this. Second, intel doesn't have drivers to actually give it the ability to run OpenGL 3/4 even if it could. Third, the mac OS future limits the use if intel, and its's the same with macs with Nvidia(unless you install custom drivers) and AMD. Windows has no problem with AMD/Nvidia.

im getting a acer aspire as3830tg-6431 and these are the specs what do you think is it good for gaming? It looks good for me

To be honest, that's that good for gaming at all. The intel graphics 3000 is simply too bad. The GeForce Gt 540M is the mobile version of a 540, which is still low-end. The 540M is nearly as close as the intergrated Radeon HD 7560d, just a tiny bit above. I would expect FPS lower than 30 on shaders, even on smaller settings. You can also tune down the settings to the extent where it doesn't even look good anymore.

Edit:Maybe 50+ FPS without shaders and with Optifine.

That's interesting, you did specular first then parallax mapping.
Also for some reason in an amplified map the sun goes through blocks.
Using GTX 670 with 331.65 driver version.

DOF seems to lag for me, I put on pre7.1 max and It gives me 10fps until I take off dof it goes up to 40-50fps.

P.S: I had a blender moment where everything rendered perfectly and it looked like something you get from cinema4D or blender.

Well, I wouldn't report bugs from a map from 1.7. because this is for 1.6. Most likely, the error comes from either the chunks not loading(limited render), the chunks haven't loaded and are taking time, or you aren't close enough to the chunk. Happened to me in a mountain until I moved closer, :P.

But, that may not be your error. Your drivers are the newest version, but 327.XXX versions and up are generally incompatible with most shaderpacks, but can usually be fixed for a price, which is performance and feature compatibility(for the future).

Why is the v10.0 Ultra shader pack plain? this is what my Minecraft looks when I have the shader pack activated.

That is what it looks like, but in this picture below the shaderpack has more colour and that is what I want! How do I give the shaderpack more colour?

Yep, you have the right version. The bottom one looks like Sonic Ether's OLD(OLD) V08 shaderpack. The download is still in the OP in the legacy versions, but I can't guarantee it works since the RC-RC6 versions don't work for 1.6. For 1.6, tru Chocapic's, Sildur's, MrMeeps, and Rudoplay's(Rudoplay's is an old Chocapic shaderpack, so install Optifine to fix the weird lines in the water). On Rudoplays, it has color like the one above, but is very glitchly because it's a modified version of an old shaderpack, not a seperate shaderpack itself(or new).

I checked for video driver updates, and it said all drivers were up to date. Sorry for the late reply.

See if you can run Sonic Ether's shaderpack. Also, we will see if you can run the dev shaderpack.

Also, I notice a new bug, but I'll post it once I get a picture of it without any other mods.

Post this in the shaders mod, at least. This isn't even Sonic Ether's shaderpack. I think it's MrMeep's(though he has various versions).

Is it possible to install this mod using MagicLauncher?

    Quote from dalekslayer96

Don't use MagicLauncher. It's a pain in the butt. Use the Vanilla launcher.

I used MagicLauncher up to 1.5.2. It is no longer needed for 1.6. because many mods are incorporated into the mods folder, made for Minecraftforge. The new launcher is also quite good for downgrading versions and such.
