This is my first go at shaders, i would really appreciate help.

I followed instructions to install (ShadersMod-v2.3.15mc1.7.5-installer)
    Have Java 7
    Clean Minecraft install
run game with that profile once
    no optifine
    ran jar installer
run game and it looks the same
    shader folder is empty.

i don't know what to do?

Download a shaderpack, open shader folder from shader pack selector, and drop shaderpack in there.
The mod by itself only allows shaders to work, but are not shaders themselves. This also explains the lack of images in the OP.

    Edit:

Ok then, update your Forge to 1112 (files.minecraftforge.net), and update your Java to 1.7.0.60 -- if you haven't already.

Go with one of these 2 JVM Arguments for your profile:
    -Xms350m -Xmx2G (Surface with 4GB RAM)
    -Xms350m -Xmx4G (NB & Desktops with 8GB RAM)

I use 4G myself for 32x/64x/128x RPs (I have to use 128x RPs without CTM myself else I get JVM errors which basically state I ran out of memory -- I cannot assign more memory to fix it -- MC just barfs and there doesn't appear to be anything I can do about it).

Maybe Synthesizer or someone with a Radeon 270/280/290 can pipe in if they have had any issues like this...

I'm here, so what do I need to test? (Have a 7970, but it's the same as the 280X)

Edit: Right now, I'm on Forge 1060 with shadersmod 2.3.12 and also on Optifine D1.
I installed forge using the auto installer and optifine by dragging it into mods. I will test the lastest forge and see if I get any errors.

Once upon a time, I got random crashes with java access exception violation errors, but I think the 14.4 drivers and other Optifine versions fixed it.

EDIT 2: Wait, wait, wait, wait.....
Did you try logging onto a server or joining a single player world? About two months ago, every time I joined a server, I got a crash log where the game exits in a bad state. I joined my SP world, which rarely crashes with that error, then the server, and the error is usually fixed.

Before I get the crash log, my MC froze up.

Try running this without the shaders mod and see if the error is reproduced.

Does it work for 1.7.9? Everytime I try to activate this resource pack it just does nothing. It instantly deactivates. (I'm using 512x512 smooth realism)
    Quote from general_207
Choose a lower resolution and see if that helps.

I believe only MCPatcher can do 512x textures. I haven't tried it on Optifine in the new versions, but it never worked for me.
    Quote from Batmann_77

I do run mods, but I am running the compatible 'Sonic Ether's Unbelievable Shaders' shader pack.

Other than that, I am not running any other mods that change the appearance of the world.

Both these errors should be related to shaders, but I need more information, as in forge version (if there is one), shadersmods version, optifine versions, and etc. The invisible blocks issue could be caused by the Optifine chunk loading (I usually use the default one or smooth), and the torch issue could simply be the shaderpack itself. I'll test it, though.

I'm currently developing a Terraria-like voxel-based game, and I wanted to know if you would be so kind as to grant me permission to use the textures from this resource pack in it. Up until now, I've been using Minecraft's vanilla textures, but I tested it out using this and liked the look a lot better. I don't plan on ever selling it (and if I do I'll be sure to let you know); it's mostly just a hobby. I'd also be sure to include a file giving credit to you as per its license.

Link to the game's launcher: http://ci.amigocraft...neFlat Launcher (download the latest artifact)

Edit: I went and read the actual license text, and from what I understand, it grants me permission to use it freely as long as it's not the centerpiece of the work. I'm going to leave this post here just so you know that I've used the textures.

Try to PM the author, it'll be better. Because the chances of the author finding the post are very slim with the other posts.

I downloaded the RC8 normal version and when I apply the shaders this happens. My video card is AMD radeon 7640g all drivers are up to date and current. I have the latest GLSL shaders mod installed and the latest optifine for 1.7.2 and the recommended forge for 1.7.2. My minecraft is at version 1.7.2. Any one know how to fix this? Any help will be much appreciated. These shaders seem to be the only ones doing this. Other shader packs function normally.
    -snip pic-

Could you be more specific on your driver version? My graphics card is an AMD as well, but it's not a notebook one.
After some googling, the AMD website doesn't really show the drivers. I found another website, but the drivers for those are too outdated for most Minecraft shaders. They were version 12.x

Here's an example of how it's running with my drivers with version 14.4.

Edit: I have Optifine D1 and the recommended 1.7.2 forge, along with other mods that don't contribute to your issue (like animated player mod).

His shader is broken for AMD cards

But it's working on my AMD Radeon 7970, which is more powerful than the R9 270X, but not rebranded.
The only difference is probably our drivers, which makes a huge difference.

Has anyone tested the shaders with the recent AMD beta 14.6 driver?
I literally went to 14.4 a day ago, so I would like some information before I get the time to update drivers.

Finally got it to work, but you missed some steps in your explanations and need to make some corrections...

I would post the issues and what needs to be fixed, but no one read my posts anyway... -_-

Well, I was going to post a reply five minutes ago until you said you fixed it, lol.
I saw that 2/3's of the missing libraries had "twitch" in the name, and one had something to do with the Minecraft Launcher wrapper. The Mubecraft Launcher Wrapper part is mentioned when you have to edit mainclass.

Also, most people, including me, don't really know much about code here. Some people even spread out lies here. Most people that help are doing it voluntarily.

arg, Forge 1.7.4 isn't out how am I supposed to use it when its not updated.

Maybe you should've read the third line down and see that it doesn't require forge to run.

So I just installed the new Beta he uploaded recently and i keep getting weird water textures. However, it's not just with this certain pack, this has happened for every SEUS shader pack I've tried. Can someone tell me how to fix it?
    -snip-

Could you provide me with your specs, MC version, mods installed and their versions?
    Quote from Synchroniser_

Some-one, please help me. I run the shaders and have tried all the shaders of SEUS avaliable. But I get this. Is it because of my graphics card? I'm running Windows 8 on a Pavilion G6 and the graphics card is NVIDIA if this helps. Thanks a bunch!

    - Synchroniser_

If you graphics card is Nvidia, get the 320 WHQL drivers for it. If you can't find it, then try the newest drivers.
    Quote from 3v2n

Yeah ok, cuz I'm getting an SSD this summer and i didn't really think it would fix any thing because SEUS is graphics related. Thanks for the straight up answer.

    P.S.

    MAC RULES :) MUAHAHAHAHA

and why is ur name macnut?

The SSD will only increase your OS load time and some load times on big programs, it would barely affect Minecraft for an average player. Uh, if you want to run SEUS on a mac, you need to have Nvidia graphics with custom drivers, which I have never met a person who got it working that way. You could also get four leaf clovers and hope a new Mac could run it magically.

Some Macs have the power to run it, but they don't have the software support for OpenGL 3/4 (and the OS X Maverick doesn't help even though it has support for OpenGL 3/4)

Nah, his GPU would be compatible if it wasn't on a mac. The OS X Maverick's OpenGL 3/4 support doesn't seem to affect Minecraft, causing some errors.

Uh, OpenGL 3/4 is still a problem. Although I'm not that technical, Minecraft still doesn't utilize the OpenGL 3/4 features, and some people have tried editing Minecraft so it works with the new OpenGL, but I heard from them that Minecraft installs new libraries (or some sort of thing) every time, ruining the modficiation.

I played a little with the new AMD driver 14.2 and I don't get lag issues...I only discovered a small FPS boost, seems I get ~15-20 FPS more than before...now I'm possible to get 50 FPS and more thats really nice :) I play with a R9 270X which is a little bit overclocked but not so much, I think your one is better than my ;)

I definitely have a problem. My 7970 can perform worse than your card.... (the 7970 is the un-rebranded 280x).
What settings do you have for MC (mods, video settings, ect)?

Anyone experiencing lag issues for the AMD driver version 14.2?
Also, could anyone tell me the ideal set up to run shaders along with other mods.

My AMD Radeon 7970 struggles to reach 60 FPS on many shaderpacks with the Blocks 3D mod along with Optifine combined.

Uh, please use the latest version (Version 10.1) for people who aren't using them, because I doubt anyone's going to give that much support to old shaderpacks. It could fix some problems.

Windows 8 isn't a problem, I just need the full list of specs.

When will you be uploading the 2D cloud version?

That's not even in the dev releases. This is just news from Cody.

Don't expect a version soon, since the official v10.1 hasn't been released yet.

14.2 beta drivers. I once got the same error with my AMD Radeon 7970.
If the drivers are compatible, then update your drivers to 14.2 beta.
I've gotten these errors usually running Optifine and it occurred on Optifine version B7 (rarely) and Optifine C2 (Constantly).
I'm using Optifine D1 on MC version 1.7.2 right now and haven't experienced any crashes yet (I haven't loaded shaderpacks on Optiifine D1 for a giant amount of time).

That was about two years ago. Sonic Ether has abandoned this with a new effect.
