Still having the same issue, except with a different pack and version now.
DxDiag here: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/zm9xsFRQ6n/
This issue only pops up with modded, the packs I'm using are on 1.12.2. Vanilla works just fine with any version. I'm running Windows 10, my MacBook loads the packs just fine, albeit a bit slow.
This is the problem:
# Problematic frame:
# V [jvm.dll+0x3e86c9]
The launcher is using the version of Java that comes with the launcher:
# JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (8.0_51-b16) (build 1.8.0_51-b16)
You'll need to manually update the Java version in the launcher if you've installed a higher version on the PC.
Thank you! I use the twitch launcher, and in the settings I have it set to always use the latest version, and the only one I have installed in the machine is the 64 bit latest (I’ll have to get the exact version # when I get back home.)
Would I have to change that setting to the particular version I want?
I've been fighting with this error most of today, and I'm giving up. I've updated Java, run both 64 and 32 bit versions, updated all my video drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft/Twitch/modpacks. Changed which directories things were saved to. The game seems to launch at first, goes through part of the loading screen, then I get this crash partway through.
To note, I've never had this issue when playing on my Mac laptop, but wanted to start playing on the PC that we hooked up to our 65" TV.
Crash Log Here:
As title says, I get the 'ticking player' crash whenever I enter the Nether. Playing the most recent version of the Overgrown modpack.
After the crash, when I reload the world, I'm in the Nether and all is great, until I leave and try to go back again.

As the title says the text in some of the GUIs is not showing, namely those of Waystones and Flux Networks. Playing the most recent update of Simple Life 2 with the addition of Optifine and the Faithful resource pack(happens both with and without the resource pack). I've fiddled with Optifines settings a bit to no avail.
Any ideas whats causing it? Or how I can try to fix it? Flux Networks is currently unusable do to not being able to see whats going on.
Went to take a screenshot of the GUI to add to this post, and it seems like the text is there, just all the same color as the black background. The screenshot function on my mac allowed that to be seen while selecting the area.
So I'm playing the World of Dragons modpack, and my world keeps crashing after the last night's update. I have added a couple extra mods that the pack didn't include(namely refined storage and storage drawers(modpack now includes SD)), but all was running well before the update. Now I'm just confused.

Hello! Finally got a chance to download and play the mod in the Farming Valley modpack for a bit the past few days. Got my house mostly built and went to summon the goddess to get going, only to discover she has no text. I tried sleeping the night, exiting to the menu, closing and restarting the game, even downgrading some versions in case it was something going on with the current. Theres no crashes, just a little lag from Fast leaf decay, and everything else so far seems to be working as it should.
Quite frankly I'm stuck on what to do, as the pack is essentially unplayable for me at this point.
