What experience do you have with minecraft: I've been playing MC since beta 1.2_01
How long have you been playing on minecraft servers: Ever since I started playing Minecraft.
What made you apply for this server: I was looking for a nice vanilla server to meet some people and have fun. Most servers around today are just OP Factions and clan wars and stuff, so I figured it would be fun to go back to how it was in beta.
How active will you be on the server: I'll probably play 2-4 times a week for an hour at a time.
Why should the server accept you: I have great skills when it comes to building and redstone. I am friendly, helpful, honest, and very trustworthy.
Whats your strong point in minecraft: Redstone, and somewhat building some cool structures.
What do you bring to the table/What can you do for the server: Potentially bring some people on to the server and get a great community going. I am very experienced in moderating servers as well so I may be able to help with that somewhere along the line.
But if you have a wired controller, simply plug it into an available USB slot on your computer.
For the next part, you're going to need a program like Xpadder. It costs $10, but it's also one of the best programs available, so it's worth a buy.
But don't lose hope now, there's a free alternative called Pinnacle Game Profiler (http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/). It even comes with a profile for Minecraft, so you don't even have to set anything up.
So simply start the program, get it ready, and start Minecraft. It should work right away, but if it doesn't PM me and we'll find the problem. Good luck!
Mine was a nice long corridor dug a few blocks underground, back in beta 1.2. I didn't know how to make tools and stuff, so I dug out all the stone with my hands and it took around 1 and a half hours....
We are a friendly server that is getting started up again. There is a brand new world and hoping to get more people on to have a friendly community started. As you might be wondering, yes, we are hiring. There is a lack of staff as well as there are users. If you are interested, please join! Great server. Join today, we will make sure you feel welcome. Also the owner is almost always on 24/7.
24/7 Server! Full time access Survival / PVP Economy Friendly Staff (Hiring) Beautiful spawn!
I need to allocate more memory so I can do more resource-intensive things in-game, like spawning tons of entities, and using large amounts of TNT. Right now there is only 512 megabytes allocated in total. When trying to change the amount using -Xmx6G in the launcher, it does absolutely nothing to change it.
I was able to make it crash, and noticed on the crash log that it automatically puts -Xmx512M in front of the setting I put no matter what.
I've also tried changing it directly through Java's configuration menu, and it still doesn't change a thing.
Launching the game from a .jar file with either -Xmx1G or -Xmx6G raises the max memory to 1GB. Launching it from the .jar with no custom tags puts it back down at 512MB.
Anyone have an idea what's going on here? I would greatly appreciate any help.
I have Minecraft Forge installed on Minecraft 1.6.4 with CameraStudio installed. I have 16GB of ram.
And here would be a much better build for the same price as that: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2rbkS
Sure, this doesn't have an i7 or anything super pretty and lighty-uppy and but it is much more stable, cost effective, and will last a lot longer.
I would like to help you with the server.
My experience with servers is great, as I have been hosting servers on and off for about 2 years now. I have done many different server styles, such as vanilla survival, creative, factions, hunger games, spleef, and even a few custom plugins here and there. I have been playing Minecraft for nearly 3 years, and some of my favorite things to do in-game is experimenting with redstone, hardcore survival, and playing creative with friends. I am 15 years old.
I have some money right now (Christmas :P), so if you want a bigger server sooner, I am capable of doing that but only to a certain extent. I'm not going to use all of my money, maybe only for a month or so. I have some favorite choices for server hosting companies so I prefer to change to them if possible. You can contact me through Skype (ryan.buhler2) or Email ([email protected]).
I look forward to this server! Thanks for reading my application. My in-game name is Epicism.
Not sure if anyone found this out yet (TL;DR), but if you want to make a Water Breathing potion, you add Nether Wart to a Water Bottle, then add a Pufferfish.

Why you want to join: I want to be able to go back to how Minecraft was in beta where there were no modded servers and just have some fun.
I've been playing since Beta 1.2 if that matters to you at all

Now, if you have a wireless controller you're going to need to get something like this:

But if you have a wired controller, simply plug it into an available USB slot on your computer.

Please do. You will save tons of money buying custom components, and the Alienware you got is quite old and it's made by Dell for Christ's sake.
EDIT: Here's as close as I can get to that pc on PCPartPicker:
