Anyways, I discontinued the pack because college took too much of my time, and I really just wanted to focus on that. I now still have some weeks off, along with a bunch of experience.
Basically, I'll try to update the texture pack to the newest versions, maybe start working on it again, but I haven't played minecraft in over a year or so, so I'm not sure what all I'll have to update, but i'll definitely give it a try.
Thanks for reminding me of this, it's been so long. >_>
Edit: Also, new page. I guess it fits the metaphor.
I never said anyone had to do it for me, I'm just asking if there was one previously made. But I guess I will have to do it myself. The story involves a young FinalStrike and some misclicks. The story is very long and I do not have the patience to type it all up.
Search help from a psychologist for that trauma.
Or just get over your laziness and try it.
For asfar as I know, CoD doesn't have a distinct artstyle that you can recreate, it's plain realism.
But someone might have made a pack and splashed the name CoD in the title.
Thank you very much! One last question, and sorry for not knowing this already, but how do you create a properties file? I have Windows 7 and I'm not sure how to do this.
Just make a text file, put that text in there, and rename it as a .properties later.
You can still open it with any text editor afterwards.
Also, I suggest you look at the help thread for MCPatcher, they have some great examples and more detailed explanations in there.
As soon as i saw your Nepeta pic i knew good stuff where to be expected!
And i was right! Your texture pack is really beautiful!
Sorry if anyone else asked this , but are you planning on adding the mobs?
Thanks! <3
I am indeed planning for mobs (and random mobs support) later on, but I haven't played around with those much. Mostly ideas for now, but they'll be implemented along the line.
Also, I haven't been able to work as much as I used to for the past couple of weeks due to college starting again, and thats what I mainly focused on.
The terrain.png is nearly finished, with only some small things and the End world left unfinished, but I doubt I'll even be able to work on those for a while, so I intend to finish the HUD and the most common textures first for the 1.0 release.
I don't know when I'll update next, but I'm planning for "as soon as humanly possible". Sorry for the wait, but I love you guys for your support and kind words of motivation! <3
New versions of both doors.
Had a lot of trouble with the stone doors. The bottom stone one was my first version, but I ****ed up the shading too much for it too look useable ingame, I may revisit that version sometime later if I feel like it though.
I feel like my stone/cellar door is just missing something, but that just might be me. Feedback?
Lovely pattern and colours, really fits the pack's theme. Nicely done.
And I believe there is a file called particlecolor.png, but I can't be sure. Go and download Misa's Realistic pack, I use her as a guide for what images to use haha!
Made water. I kinda like the pattern, probably gonna play around with the highlights and some detail, but it seems like it tiles well and fits in the world.
I really hated that ugly default color, this one is so much more vibrant and colourful.
Edit: OH, also, I made some particles that resemble the color of the water, but when I see them they're the really dark blue from default. I take it the solution is in the MCPatcher help thread?
Or someone could really quickly tell me what I need to do. :3
None of your textures seem finished or that good really.
Grass has some serious tiling problems, as well as lava, water, obsidian.
The buttons look like you just went over them with a bright-green soft brush.
The reeds lack detail and are way too bright.
I personally only like the idea of the cake, and the feel of the water, but I'd like to see this pack after you put in 50+ hours of work.
Right now it's pretty much a mess of good ideas that don't seem to be executed all that well.
Also, follow some tutorials on shading, tiling and pixelart. They'll help you out immensely.
Ahh so it is!! Teal is my favorite color, it's a beautiful color, especially dark teal..
Anyways with that I bring you -
Zombie Yetis -
Penguins! -
With pretty eyes thanks to input from Imnumberfour.
Those look really good. Wish they were actual mobs now.
Also, I finished that gravel I posted a few pages back, and fixed the tiling issues, and gave it a really dirty look. (this was at first me placing a wrong layer on top, but I liked the effect and kept working off that. :P)
edit: Just saw that the pattern on the left side is still kinda visible, but I'm going to have a hard time working that one away without messing an other side up, or other tiling issues.
You can't ask other people for ideas, just think for yourself. I for one think about how I want my texture pack to look like, how I want minecraft to look like. If that doesn't do it for you, I'm sorry.

Also, if you look around a bit you'll find lots of really great tutorials.
Good luck with it! ;D

Well, you're better off just working instead of posting it. Repost it when you feel your textures are in a state to get some decent feedback.

I thought the consensus on that one was that most people would like to see everything changed about it.
Also, page get #1. ;D

Pretty much this.
