The thing is, I thought to make it a library after I finished the design which I originally was going to make into a farm, but then I decided that it was too fancy and turned it instead into a library which like I said before is still in the working.
Hello minecraft forums people! I have spent 5 hours working on an underground area which I then decided to turn into a library. I came up with the idea in my head and then drew it out and then turned virtuality into reality, and I'd like some feedback from the good people of the forums. :biggrin.gif:

Maybe it can drop a tusk, I know those are pretty valuable today and they where used by cavemen in the mammoth years. I was thinking maybe a weapon, but we have a lot of those or a spikey fence.
Considering Elephants are posted to be rare, a tusk should have some kind of good purpose/use.
Biomes can be several hundred blocks wide, so you may have to explore quite a bit to find a different one.
But biomes where added in after I made my world.
the grass bit was a general code update, but the biomes will be for the 'unexplored' parts of that world if u walk far enough u will find different biomes
Going back to my original question, which was can I change the color of the grass around my house? I'm not asking if I have biomes in my old world and I'm sure that the area around my house isen't a desert but it doesn't have much water around it so I think that may be a problem.
1) I know you can place fences ON grass, but since fences are considered blocks (I think) maybe they wont allow grass to grow under them
2) The reason your grass is a dull color is because you're in a dry/cold biome, while a wet/warm biome will have green luscious grass. Try exploring a bit and and you'll see what I mean.

2. I'm in a world that was made before the update and I made myself an awesome house which I don't want to leave. And there is no desert around my house, but water is pretty far away also.
@verynoname People have agreed on making it a 4 use durability which would help in emergencies :biggrin.gif:
@deathx Browsing the wiki I found that there used to be some girl character that randomly ran around? Maybe make a trap and make her make your sandwiches O_o
While decorating around my house I ran across two questions that I'm wondering if you, the fantastic community of the Minecraft forums knows.
1. Does grass grow under fences?
2. After the Halloween update the grass around my house looks like complete crap, it's dried up and dull, so I'm wondering if by putting water under/around the grass will make it bright?
I think it should heal 9 hp. Because grilled pork = 4 hp, and 1 bread = 2.5 hp. 2.5+2.5 = 5, and 5+4=9. Kinda like stacking, you know. Also you should be allowed to add an extra thing. Like this: = sandvich

Adding mushrooms to a sandvich! Which makes it heal 11.5 hp. Too much hp, huh?
I think I've covered why it should heal the given amount of health somewhere in the other pages? <.< idk
Yeah a mushroom sauce sandvich woulden't be so bad lol but mushrooms are used for the stew and imo I think the sandvich is better off plain.
