A Bit is sort of like a gold coin except way cooler. This is not a standalone mod. This is an API of sorts. It is meant to be used by modders and eliminates the need for a currency system all their own.
SYSTEM OVERHAUL:
I removed the old transaction class and rewrote the entire system due to bugs and messy code. The new class that handles everything is called Bits. Its way easier to use and I've added a GUI. I decided to go with the "one account game wide" system and it works great. If you don't have an account all you do is go into your world. A gui will pop up and thats it! You have an account. The gui can be accessed through the default keybind "B" or whatever you change it to. In the gui you will be able to make deposits and withdrawals from your account. I hope that this new system will be easier for modder to use in their own mods.
How to use Bits in your mod:
This goes in your mod_ file
public static Product PRODUCTNAME= new Product(Item.swordGold, 1, 10);The product class takes the fields item, the amount you get per purchase, and cost of the item. So the code above would give you one gold sword at a rate of ten Bits per purchase. To buy the product you have to call the Bits class. You can call this anywhere you want. It can be in a GUI class on button click or it can just as simply be on block right click. Put this code where ever you want to buy the product.
Bits.makePurchase(mod_MODFILE.PRODUCTNAME);Thats it.The Bits system will do all the rest.
When I release Bits I will also be releasing myShop which will allow you to create shops in minecraft. There will be display cases, shelves, and a lot more. More information for myShop will be revealed soon.
Please spread this around as it will make currency simple. No more 30 types of money, one per mod. No more using gold ingots as money. +1 this is you want a universal currency for minecraft.

So far, this addon works with that other Galacticraft2 addon called 4Space by Mattparks. Thanks for this! Galactricraft don't feel so lonely anymore!
-edit-
Just popped this mod and its addons into a testing modpack that is packed with over 140 mods to see what happens. Well, not literally 140 mods. That is just what Minecraft Forge says is loaded. Anyway, after manually fixing ID's and sniffing out many other conflicts I can safely say everything is "stable" to play around with. My guess is that this addon and its addon's work very well with other mods that play nice with Galacticraft.
The big babies in this testing pack are:
Thaumcraft
Twilight Forest
Forge Multipart
Mystcraft
MapleTree mod (A japanese mod by Ecru)
Botania
Ars Magica 2
Buildcraft
Resonant Induction
MoCreatures
Ender IO
Gany's Mods (surface, end, and nether)
Growthcraft Mods
MadScience
Minecraft Millenaire
Modular Forcefield System
Galacticraft and other Addons
Notable Mentions:
Bibliocraft
Custom NPCs
MoCreatures
Ancient Warfare
Rival Rebels
Traincraft
TorchLevers
Chicken Bones Wireless Redstone
Touhou Item's Mod
MrCrayfish's furniture mod

Note:
The data loggers don't change in direction when placed though, well for me that is. If I try to stack them in opposite directions (a data logger) or on a wall facing another direction, I get a message saying "you can't place this block at this side".

Right on! My thought's exactly. This is free charity work from coders and mod designers being shared to the community so if anything, it's a blessing to even have a great mod like this. To the team (or person) that made this mod, thanks! I'll be waiting for future updates!

It just so happened to rain as it dawned upon me that I might just have to go on a crash course Java, forge, and whatever else learning spree to finally make my "dream" of aesthetic mods come true (Lamp posts and candle lights LOL).
And then, came along this WONDERFUL LIFE SAVING MOD that is overshadowed by the "popular" mods. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! This mod and it's versatility for aesthetic and function objects deserve so much more attention!!! No really, if I had a few hundred bucks I would definitely donate for your hard work. Seriously. THANK YOU!
