-Cyclops-
Giant monsters who dwell on islands, usually 1 or 2 on an isolated island, LOTS of sheep on the island. They live in a HUGE cave with the other cyclops's (8 blocks high?)
- They're weak to ARROWS in the eye (Odysseus), hitting them in the eye with an arrow blinds them and does the most damage.
- They drop wood, wool, various meats, and cyclops eyes (rare) Also if you go to their cave, you can find Lots O sheep and chests full of stuff?
-Cyclops eyes will be used for alchemy
Perhaps piping allows longer travel of liquids, than what could be achieved if you use what we have now for pipes?
They could be placed in an area that's towards the center of a block (positioning), and constructing more waterslides, farms, etc etc could yield much more clean and constructed building results!
its not cheating... its the game.. it allows you to play the way you wish, just becuase you read something more into it you dont need to choose that others do as well, I dont cheat... never have, but I use peacful on a regular basis, if that offends your idea of how the game should be thats not my problem (no offense intended.) you keep your idea of the game and i'll keep mine.
Look up cheating and then study how peaceful works. Then we'll talk.
why would you be tired of what other people do in their single player game? how does it affect you? if they eat toast in the morning and you have a gluten allergy does it affect you too? im just amazed at why people want to dictate the way other people choose or choose not to play their copy of the game.
Again, it's how it takes away the true meaning of "survival".
I could care less if you pick the warrior over the magician. I however am very anal about cheating. That's just the way I am. If you wish to cheat, use MC edit. Keep the game clean for those whom are serious about gameplay.
However, just because you may not want it, doesn't mean others can't. Having the difficulty idea your way on a thread is selfish.
Sure, you may not want it, but remember that not everyone plays your way. Take into consideration, how your opinion affects others.
Maybe you should have applied the same logic to yourself when you started this topic.
Also, it isn't just me. I got the idea from reading others' posts about their playing style.
I didn't make it definite that I wanted permanent to be forced onto all players. That's why I took into consideration of others, and thought that a checkbox for a lock would be nice. Or a peaceful countdown.
Jesus Christ! This post grew into an adult in no time!
I see now how the permanent difficulty idea is unfair to those whom wish to change it. I suppose I was just annoyed at how I always had the option of god mode with me, wherever I went.
I'm leaving this thread up to it's posters, seeing how much was posted in a mere few hours.
Also, my rienactment of a difficulty ***** wasn't out of much annoyance. Rather, to try and grasp the reader's attention. I mainly use lolspeak for dramatic effect.
This thread was pretty much fail anyway. Shouldn't have drank that monster with my buddies, earlier today.
Those have some dangerous effects. On people that just watched EBM. (Epic Beard Man). That type of stuff gets me pumped. Can't stand to see ignorance.
I like the way we can change it so that if you just want to build something you can get on with it without having to hold up and wait all night or go out fighting. Then at other times I like to just grab a sword and a pickaxe and go adventuring. Having it set permanently would limit how I play the game, as in 1 world on peaceful and another on WARRRRR
Switching to peaceful when you are getting attacked is lame though.
I comepletely understand that. Mind you, MC is only in Alpha. If Notch puts some superb coding into the game, the game could be more responsive to the situation. For instance: Go mining, game tends to be easier. (less hostile mobs)
But, many people, AGAIN, don't put a hell-of-a thought into how it would actually be in the game. No, they simpily scoop up from thier shallow pool of thought, and immediately plop it onto the forums, instead of taking the time to dig down a bit, and get the good, final result.
I would like it, so that if you want it, you can have it. Don't like it? Don't choose permanent damage. It would make hardcore players happy, to know the fact they don't always have an escape route a button click away. They have to be a man, and knock the **** out of that zombie with their bare hands, in order to survive.
I will also bring to everyones' attention, Alpha is indeed Survival. Survival is to not die. Little hard to live out true survival, when I can just sit and regain life. It defeats the purpose of survival.
TL;DR: It's about removing the option, and for direct difficulty.
He's changing the way the difficulty slider is setup. Check the stuff in the link in my sig. But there's nothing about permanent difficulty that I see, probably because this is a very silly idea. Not everyone is all RAAAA when they play games. Hence, why it's on a slider. No one is holding your own shottie to your head to use it, so leave the HappyRainbowLand folks at the bottom levels of slider difficulty while you head forth on full Starve! You being annoyed by the internets is a pretty poor reason for making people be stuck in one difficulty level in their own not-you-playing-it games.
# 1: It is not a silly idea. We needn't screw with the difficulty so much. Not all of us, though.
# 2: You put too much exaggeration in your response. Most likely, you're speaking up for the people on behalf of whom do not like this thread.
# 3: This topic is still a baby. I clearly said we would go over it, not this is how it's going to be.
# 4: I am not annoyed at the internets. Know me before you exaggerate. I was simpily giving a text reinactment of what a typical difficulty ***** would do.
# 5: I wasn't forcing this to be official. Think before you go apeshit.

Islands? Guarding chests?
I'm getting a DQMJ vibe here.
And I LOVE it.

YES.

Odd. Quite odd.
But then again, this mainly comes from the demented mind of Mr.Weebl.

This idea should be discussed. My main problem with free difficulty, is how it can prevent inevitable deaths.
