Mar 7, 2012I got an idea for a mod. Maybe a mob spawner finder. I know xray mods can find mob spawners but i don't want those. From far away, you can't really tell what it spawns. I want something that can track the nearest spawners and tell where they are. Can anyone make this? Or does it already exist?Posted in: Requests / Ideas For Mods

A super weak attack. For the first level, it does same damage as ocelots do to chickens.
When health of player is half a heart, it will make all zombies stay at a distance(basically scare them like they do with creepers)
The cat has started to like swimming and has even decided to swim in lava. The higher the level, the faster it can swim in it.
The creepers now have a reason to be afraid. The cats will meow at the creepers. at a 1/10 chance, the creepers will explode and they will not do damage to the blocks, mobs, or the player. Basically, the creeper dies but it doesn't drop items.
The cat will have more defence. At max level, all attacks do half a heart.

I know I’m doing exactly what you said people would do, but, minecraft is not a simple game and will continue to evolve into a more complex game over time, but the idea is not the simplicity but the fact that there is no story or rules, and that you are free to roam in your own world. minecraft is complex in the fact that you can use redstone, make monster traps, etc. this idea has nothing to do with getting rid of the idea of minecraft, only increases the complexity, this complexity is nothing to frown on as you can avoid it in the game. There are no rules saying that you must build a big boat. this idea should be in vanilla minecraft
No. it is simple. Think about it. Minecraft is complex but the stuff in it should remain simple to keep it that way. Think about redstone. it simply powers stuff and the fact that it's simple and has few features makes it complex. It's supposed to be simple. Why do you think you see villiges and not citys? The boats are supposed to be normal.

I'll think about it. Really, some of the stuff would just be copying what I already have for dogs if I were to really attempt a Talents system, so I doubt I'll be doing that, but as much as I want to keep out of it, the thought of pets that can't be named and can't walk around on their own just tears me up inside, so you can count on at least that.
K. And BTW, dogs can now breed. So will we still have to wait until level 60 to breed? Maybe add skills that allow cats to use weak attacks.

Mar 2, 2012Heres an idea. Each block would contain a set number of xp. For example, diamond could have 10. There would be 1/100 chance of you getting the xp out of that block when you mine it. So theres a 1/100 chance of you getting 10 xp out of a diamond ore. probably like 1 for stuff like cobble and dirt. 7 for gold. And whatever else you can think of. But this would take a while to code every single block though.Posted in: Suggestions

Finally, your counter-"examples" don't relate. Dirt isn't sand, and snow isn't wood. Dirt is, however, composed largely of a fine mixture of decayed animal and vegetable matter. Would you feel better about it if you had to add leaves or logs and craft a new "Composter" to let it sit and rot in?
Lol. i'm suprised he always says whatever i say isn't relative when his examples make no sense. And i don't know much about dirt but compost does seem like dirt that grows plants and growing plants is the only thing dirt does in minecraft anyways. And when i said dirt can save your life, i mean as an emergancy block. Like for stairs or something.
But anyways, i'm not just supporting things just cause it will be helpful. I like this idea cause it makes sense. It makes the game feel a bit more... complete.

Smooth stone is renewable. Cobble is renewable cause lava and water makes cobble. You can use wood to burn it into smooth stone. So it is renewable.Quote from Geartooth
I like how you think Farming is cheating.
What's next, should we make cows stop dropping Steak so we can't farm all that food?
*but yes, I would like it to be a Stone Golem, but because it's more fitting in the game and it would make Smooth Stone a renewable resource.*

Lava also does not destroy minecarts unless I am mistaken. It also doesn't harm iron blocks. The only iron it harms is the dropped items, but it also destroys dropped bedrock. I think iron in the game is meant to withstand the heat of lava.
Actually lava does distroys minecarts. Anyways, i didn't know iron could be distroyed by lava. Don't you put it in the furnace in minecraft? How does iron survive that?
