    So I finally edited the top of the OP to represent the fact that it's insanely out of date and directed everyone to the bukkit dev page instead-- despite the appearance of this topic, the mod is still alive in other places even if it looks dead here. It's my fault of course, I'm not the developer anymore so I don't update my forum post, even though I do loosely supervise development. The bukkit dev page is more up-to-date than this post or even the official website, so I'm sending everyone there from now on if you haven't already been going there.

    I don't stop by here very often but I do occasionally check on the mod to see if it's still alive-- the official website says 1.6.2 but Ctri has been known to forget to update the main site and only update the bukkit page (I don't even know where that is, I stopped working on the mod way before the bukkit page was set up). I just sent him a skype message to ask him how things are and whether he can get it up-to-date anytime soon, but it seems he's starting to be less active too now. This mod was originally my baby but I haven't played minecraft in months, and I haven't really enjoyed it since 2011, but I do still care what happens to runecraft. I'll try not to disappear again until the mod is safely moving along again :P

    I'm not sure what's been going on lately with Ctri but I do know he's pretty busy. If I have to I might go back and port it myself and maybe even add a few things, but it's been like a year since I actually touched the code (I've been letting Ctri handle things) so it might be a lot of trouble for me to remember how it works.

    EDIT: Apparently Ctri had forgotten about the main site and was only updating the bukkitdev pages or something like that-- and now it turns out there's something wrong with the site's admin panel. We should have it sorted and the latest version (for 1.6.2) on the site soon.

    Apparently the bukkitdev people need written permission from me before they can let Ctri make a page for runecraft, so I'm doing that now with this post. So yeah, I'm fine with it.

    The whole diamond thing should probably be removed because of silk touch. Back when I made it, it was balanced because you had to dig so far down to find any diamond and it had to be exposed to the sunlight, but now we have ways of pulling it to the surface far too easily (FTP, Silk Touch) and it really needs to be removed.

    Sounds like a bug to me, we did a lot of stuff with waypoints and teleporters in the .dat file in order to make the vertical waypoints work (they have to store a direction now). We might have missed something in the conversion of older dat files, I'll make sure Ctri looks at it tomorrow morning :)

    By the way, there's a new blog post about wards and stuff on the main site, with a tad of the lore behind them and what I'd envisioned them to be. They turned out a little different when Ctri coded them, but we're still working on them and Ctri and I reached a compromise that we're going to implement quite soon.

    Good ideas-- hopefully the new modding API when it finally comes out will allow us to do those kinds of things. Right now, we can't change drops, nor can we change monster aggression. The teleporting one is possible with current code, though. Usually we try to add a few runes from each big system before 3.0-- notice how few armor runes there are, or farming runes? That's because we're saving the rest of them for 3.0, where we're hoping to have a LOT of new, very specific runes. Because in 3.0 they'll be unlocked in a sort of skill tree, we can go crazy with rune count and specific versions of runes-- we can even have three or four different kinds of power pick runes by then depending on the circumstances of the unlock (the unlock system will involve pairing two known runes on an altar to unlock a third).

    Anyway, 2.14 was released yesterday and Ctri also just pushed a small update to it (2.14 b.) to the website. You've probably noticed the website has had an epic makeover thanks to ILiedAboutTheCake, and actually all this action is making me want to work on stuff for once. I'm going to edit the OP on the forum thread pretty soon (that's practically my only remaining responsibility lol) and I hope you enjoy the update! I'm hoping to be more active in the future, possibly even writing some code when it's time for 3.0. We're thinking of doing a total rewrite of the base when the API comes out and making that into 3.0.

    C'tri has been just as busy as me lately-- he says he has a 2.14 that works for 1.4.5 but there's a problem with 1.4.6 bukkit not allowing access to the raw classes. This means, unfortunately, a LOT of runes won't work when we initially port to 1.4.6, such as phantom torch, zeerixs' chest, and a few others I don't remember. We are working on it though, and I'm starting to get to the point where I might step in myself and do something if C'tri can't find a solution. Thanks for being patient!

    Well, I just had my old folder listing on http://llama.cerberusstudios.net/ turned into a blog, and I'll probably post Runecraft stuff every now and then. I'm still designing things for the future, but I can't say when they'll be out. Ctri has access to the uploader now though so he won't need me to upload stuff for him anymore.
