posted a message on Why not use the dragon egg to respawn the ender dragon?

The egg is made only once - when you kill the first ender dragon. So, there can only be one egg in the world (if you don't dupe it, of cause). If the egg would be used to respawn the dragon (and also it's placed back after every fight, or there will only be 2 fights), then:

    1. If you lose the egg, you won't be able to respawn the dragon or to get other end gateway portals.
    2. The next fight will be available only to the owner of the egg and his friends. (with ender crystals anyone can try to kill the dragon)

The first thing can be fixed with making a vanilla duplication (like banner/map/book cloning, but with eggs). The second - if you will be able to craft the egg yourself... Oh, wait. Isn't it like the ender crystals? Well, it still could be implemented. Maybe you saw some people who made altars for this only one dragon egg? With the first fix you will be able to see castle walls with lots of dragon eggs on top. And many other not very beautiful buildings, made by the "winners". Less valuable, isn't it? With the second fix... the egg will be used only when it's needed, so, almost nowhere. Why? Do you think the purple egg is very beautiful? There are altars for the egg because it's valuable, and it has a value not because it's useful, but because it's unique, it used to mean "I killed the Dragon", now it means "I killed the First Dragon". Also, think about an old player with an old multi-version world. He killed the Dragon, and looked at it to remind himself about his feat. And the egg loses it's value, becomes just a useful instrument.

So, it's better to do it our current way, so the egg is still valuable, and we can have multiple dragons, using a remake-able instrument.

posted a message on İpad and computer versions why so different?

They are different versions of MC: Minecraft Computer Edition (MCPC) and Minecraft Pocket Edition (MCPE). MCPC was made first. Then they decided to make MCPE, which requires many rewritings: 1. It's written on C++ (MCPC is on Java) (so, it should be written mostly from scratch); 2. Different controls (you only have a screen to play, no keyboard). Also, MCPE is developed by the other (and, actually, bigger) part of Mojang. They have different ideas and different ways to code things. Sometimes, it's better to make some things different, instead of making an identical replica (ex. boats, pistons). Some features were just added faster to MCPE (path blocks, multi biome villages).

A creeper blew up slime blocks, so water started to flow in, and the monsters are now safe and sound?

posted a message on 1.10 News and Updates - [Information from Mojang AB] - [1.10 OUT NOW!]

Now Zombie villages can generate instead of normal villages. Zombie villages have no doors and there are only zombie villagers (they can't despawn now, but could in 16w20a-21a) in them. They have 2% chance to generate. Try to find another Taiga village, it should be normal (if not, than that's something wrong with the randomness of the generator)

Your skin is also at 16x resolution, regardless of the resource pack. And a cape is an addition to your skin.

When you press "extract", it generates a new .jar file, which should be added into the place with other mods

question from a rookie, does Minecraft update automatically? Thanks

When you try to play a new (if you didn't play it before) version, launcher downloads it automatically. By default, in Edit Profile => Use version, Use Latest Version is chosen, so the launcher gives you the latest version to play.

If you don't want to use autojump you can turn it off in the top of the controls menu. But you should submit it to the bugtracker at https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC, even if it turns out not to be a bug. :)

No need to dupe tickets, it's already there

They were talking about resource packs. So, if you don't have it in a resource pack, then the pack doesn't change/add sounds.
