hmm, k, hopefully It's fixed, takes myself a couple minutes just to fully load this page :tongue.gif:
Okay now I see, I guess the spoiler thing is different so that you need to mouse over the spoiler outline to see what's inside, but you have to keep it over to see it and I think that would get repetitive, anyone know what happened to the spoilers with a button?
Yeah I see it now, too... But that didn't help the loading any :/
nope, but at least now it's onto the second page which is nice
Victory! finally on to the second page, I was worried for a little-while. So
If you like long text in between the pics in this let's play, your going to like this update
I've decided to give the new cave another go, not working out well. I've only been bringing three bacon each time I go and one way or another it get's too low and I have to run away. One thing I learned from this is skeletons below you are a pain in the mass, like in this pic. Every time you get close enough over the ledge to hit them they instantly shoot you and when you come back to hit them again they're already ready to shoot again. So life lesson taken, I'm getting out of here.
A diamond sword would really help me in dealing with skeletons and creepers because it's pretty hard to kill a skeleton at point blank and not get hurt at least once so the fewer hits required the better. and creepers, well if you can't 'double tap' them, you have to dance with them as in hit them and then get back so they don't blow up in your face. So here we are at layer twelve, supposedly one of the best depths to be at where you don't run into lava at face height and good for finding diamonds. I also like how I don't think I'll ever break a diamond sword, because they just last so long and I'm sure always I'll be acting stupid and fall in lava and lose it before it loses all it's durability.
Ohh cool, see? If I was mining lower It would be flowing into my tunnel at this point. Also, this is what I need to complete my basement.
Phew! last time I was doing screen-shots the next pic after I found a cave of lava was my house burning down, But I shouldn't have that problem this time I really hope. I'd probably still continue the let's play and rebuild the house, but I wouldn't be happy about it. One trick you can do is put water down near lava and create a safe place to walk. And then after I did that i left my water in a couple holes because now I need to fill the buckets with lava.
Very ominous, I didn't feel safe walking through my house with this in my hands
Completing the lava pit in the middle. If I ever want to throw something away I'll be using this.
You may be asking why I'd ever need this many furnaces. Honestly I probably won't, but I think It looks pretty good. Also If I have a lot of bacon a thing I do is go to each furnace putting two sticks in with the bacon, and when I've put the last one in, the first one will probably be done. I use to use coal with like three furnaces and rapidly switch out bacon with raw bacon but I think this is better
Here's my new backdoor, which is convenient for getting in the house, but I can't close the door from the outside unfortunately, not that it really matters
All done, looks pretty nice to me. So of course the holes in the bottom are for killing stuff standing next to my house, at one point I was thinking of making trenches that had the same vantage point for cutting legs but that would of looked ugly and I don't think it would of been useful anyway.
I'm almost surprised putting lava in a wooden chest contained only by metal buckets is safe
Coal; Can't find it your first day, Can't stop finding it every other day
Red-stone still doesn't have much use to me right now. Though I have used it in the past, besides pressure plates telling me my free drops are ready, I've built switch doors and double-door openers, but more recently some rookie note-block music. If you have a good idea that won't require more than three to four stacks of red-stone dust, I'd love to hear it
Damn that hoe looks fine
I've found the spot for the greenhouse
And with the magic of television you just took a journey through time. This goes well with the backdoor in my basement, they're only about ten blocks apart.
And a closer look, note the iron door got annoying to work with so I end up replacing it with a wooden one with just a pressure plate
Okay, time travel back to the past, I needed glass to finish the greenhouse and discovered this very nice looking island
Likely the most impressive thing I've seen so far in this world
Haha, I love when Notch tries to push religion on me, so I lit it up with some torches, especially since
It's starting to get dark, and I'm pretty far from home.
If it was my mom being mad at me for coming home late I probably would be in a lot less danger
Decided I was fine with tearing up my lawn for some seeds, but I spaced the lines out to help it grow back faster. Did you know there's a bug where it takes the same amount of time to break a block of tilled dirt with any shovel as it does to with your hand? I Don't even know if anyone else has stumbled upon that but yah, get to work on that notch if your reading this, or more likely Jeb
And a look inside the greenhouse. I have before run into slouches of food where I can't find any pigs like at this point so I may have to resort to bread. Although inferior to bacon it's a more reliable source, plus, if the difficulty 'Realistic' is ever implemented, you will have to eat at least once a week and drink some amount as well, so bread would become a little more helpful. I saw this on the Minecraft-wiki, I guess it's no for-sure thing but it makes a lot of sense. Here's a link http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Difficulty#Possible_difficulties
Also, still love suggestions on things to build, maybe once I have enough I'll use a mod and take some cool screen-shots from up in the sky to show-case what this let's play has accomplished, at least above ground
Help, It would be a great idea to keep each update in spoiler box's that would make loading the page much easier, but I seem to only be able to make an outline saying spoiler around stuff but not hide it, Is this a new change to the forums and this is no longer possible, or am I using it wrong? I'm using these:

without spaces
Yeah I've seen that same problem around.. I think it's bug
hmm, k, hopefully It's fixed, takes myself a couple minutes just to fully load this page :tongue.gif:

I don't mean to copy your idea.. But would it be okay with you I tried doing something like this? I looks like a lot of fun, but I wanted to make sure you were fine with me doing this first
No problem, I guess I did think of it myself but I really wouldn't say It's my idea and no one else can do it. Nice of you to ask though, I'll add a link to your thread if you'll do the same for mine
This is inside the front door of the house now under construction. I'm looking at the pressure plate, and I was just going to point out how if you put it on the inside there no mobs will ever get into your house through it and you only have to click on the door when you are coming in. I hate turning around to close the door
Pigs like walking in here
But for some reason whenever I go to hit them they make the perfect jump to get out quickly, it's happened
a couple times. I wonder where and why that's programmed in their AI?
A look from the front stone-porch, not yet completed.
I tried running to my old house to get stuff but a creeper and some zombies insisted I take a swim with them
YES, COME HERE LITTLE SPIDERS
YES, it is BOW time.
And I noticed this tree, ohh what to call it? bilingual? bicentenary?... bisexual?
I'm just shortening the reed farm so It doesn't come right up to my house, sorry for the small amount of text in this, I'm mostly just showing what I've been doing
Now that it's day I can transfer my stuff in peace, and this time I'll organize it into different chests
Gotta get more sand to finish the windows. I could also harvest my cactus farm but I don't need cactus or green wool right now so I'll hold off on that
I've decided to appropriately name my old home the hobbit hole
I know i am new to the challenge, but. Isn't being attacked by a spider, and a creeper patrolling your house a little much for night 1? And in a 4x3x3 house nonetheless.
Not if you at least have a stone sword and maybe some health food, and also know how to fight them
Hey you should check out the voltronarmy.com. It's a small little LP community that could help you with your recording problems and they would also love this.
Spent a couple of hours today on the next two updates going up tomorrow, try to contain yourself with all the accomplishment and forward progression you will soon witness XP no but yeah lot's o' shiz gets done up in here

wow that was really one of my biggest hopes for this was I'd be able to entertain someone who didn't like the idea at first, thank you

That sounds interesting, I'll check it out thanks
