Dec 14, 2013It just noticed another small bug: I cant use the default MC sounds for my NPCs anymore - the "select Sound" button shows a "Minecraft" folder, but there is nothing in there.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
The CustomNPC sounds on the other hand work finde.
Edit: Do World Lines still work? I was standing next to my merchant for a while and he never said anything :/

I havent used the teleport for quite a while, so I am not sure if one of the updates broke it or if its a conflict with another mod.

Ps. This is happening to all players on the server, so I would imagine its not just my server, and everyone with custom skins on customnpcs.
There was a small MC update that apparently changed some internal resources and deleted the content of the asset folder (thank god I had the textures backed up)
Edit: In fact, it seems MC now deletes the content of the folder everytime it startes...

And how are Wood, Bronze and Emerald compared to the vanilla armors?
It would also be nice if we could recolour the full leather armor like the vanilla leather.

Is there any way to prevent NPCs from walking up/down stairs and blocks or force them to stay on their current height?
I have a couple of shopkeeper that walk around their shops and sometimes they just walk over their chests and desks - looks funny, but would be nice if I could stop that somehow
btw, could you add a block that looks like a locked chest for roleplaying purpose (maybe use the texture from the 2011 April Fool's Day joke)?
Sep 5, 2013Great mod, but now that that we have updated our server to MC 1.62 & MoC 6.0.1, I found a couple of problems:Posted in: Minecraft Mods
1. I cant find the menu anymore to edit the MoC settings - is that intended or a mod conflict with some of the other mods I have installed?
2. Any chance you can change the MoC horses height to 2 instead of 3 like the vanilla horses? After all, they are the same size and it would solve some of our problems with horses and gates...
3. Same goes for the horse inventory, the MC 1.6 is simple and easier to use than having to use shears to get armor/saddle back.

They look fine in the default pack and I even replaced the eldpack icons.png with the default one, but still the same problem

You don't need to add them to the mod zip, you can use a resource pack instead, just make sure it's : ../resourcepacks/pack.zip/assets/customnpcs/[content]
But I can only select 1 pack at a time, so its either a "normal" texture pack or the pack with NPC textures, I cant use both at the same time. :/

Works great for loose files, but can you add support for zip files? I liked the old way were I only needed to put the folders and textures into a zip and put the zip into .minecraft/customnpcs, made it easier to share the textures on our server.

Glitch right now my bards are not singing the music, just the first 2 seconds repeated over and over.
I had the same bug on our Multiplayer Server with the 1.52er mod, but the bug kinda diappeared on ist own after a while.
btw, can anyonw explain how I can get my npc skinpacks to work again (or upload a simple example pack)? I dont know where to put them or what folders need to be inside

I guess the game is hardcoded to look for the txt files.

In the zip, JMan included "alts.png" which includes two alternate bookshelves, sans bottles. Just swap them into whatever texture file bookshelves ended up in.
I know - I just dont think the default texture should be so obvious repetitiv.
The flow texture is a 5min recolor of the default one, but at least they both have the same color:
