Support. I would like it to be renamed to 'Tuna'. It looks like it, and needs a name, since there are more specific names now.

Currently, the clownfish is useless. But I thought of a use for it.

Since clownfish is a fairly rare catch, it needs a special use. So I thought that crafting gold ingots around it would turn it into a golden clownfish. When you eat it, you get water breathing and regeneration for one minute. It would look like this:

Nothing too big, but could be useful. Thoughts?

But if the beacon absorber shoots out white beams of light, wouldn't it give away your base?

It would look like this, but without the exploding, and a lot smaller. It wouldn't give away your base at all.

Interesting idea. What if we wanted a short beam from the beacon that wouldn't shoot up into the sky more than a few blocks?

Then you could place the absorber a few blocks above the beacon block.

posted a message on The Beacon Absorber
The beacon absorber is a block that absorbs the beacon's beam, preventing it from going into the sky. The effects of the beacon would still work. The absorber is crafted with 8 obsidian, and a Nether Star in the middle. The beacon absorber could be very useful for many things. It would be good for hiding a base, or just placing it on the beacon itself to prevent a beam in the first place.

When the beam is being blocked, the beacon absorber will produce white beams, like the Enderdragon does when it dies. This is so it makes it look like the beam is being reflected in different directions.

    Thoughts?

Uh-oh. Someone forgot to read the rules. You must state that Herobrine is a hoax if you include him in your story. I'd hurry and do it now before it's too late.

This is a fictional story, that has nothing to do with gameplay. You might be thinking about stories having to do with gameplay events. I may be wrong, I'll check the rules anyways.

EDIT: You're right, I'll do it now.

posted a message on The Story of Minecraft
Hey everyone. This is my first story. I have been working on this story for about a month. I thought it turned out to be very good. I am not that much of a writer too. Please tell me what you think! (Because of the rules, I have to say that Herobrine is not a real character in the game.)

In the beginning, there was Notch. Notch lived in a vast, dark void. Notch was very lonely. He wanted to craft a beautiful world, filled with life, order, and happiness. Notch began by creating the sun and the moon. These giant square masses would orbit the realm that Notch would soon form. Notch gave the sun and moon the ability to create day and night. Day would be bright, and happy, where all of the life would be active. Night would be dark, giving life time to rest, and prepare for the next day. One revolution will last for precisely twenty minutes.

On the second day, Notch formed the four basic elements. He created stone, fire, water, and life. He incorporated the elements into the world. The realm was made up mostly of stone. Bodies of water blanketed the stone. The fire lay trapped deep below the ground, due to its dangerous heat. The stone in the core of the realm melted into magma almost instantly after the creation. Life consisted of plants, and animals, such as trees, pigs, grass, and much more.

Then, Notch decided to create the first man. He took a single block of diamond ore, and morphed it into a human being, in which he named "Steve". Steve was a brilliant man. Notch gave him knowledge of every aspect of survival in the realm, such as hunting, farming, mining, and building. Notch stepped back, and overlooked his creation. He had created a beautiful world, covered with grass, water, and life.

On the fourth day, Notch decided to add variety to the realm. He created biomes. Biomes consist of different terrain details, which can be snowy, muddy, grassy, and mountainous. He arranged them, and blended them together, to create a more interesting world. Notch then added NPC Villagers, who lived in villages spread throughout the realm. Notch wanted Steve to have friends, and a place to contribute to, instead of being alone by himself.

On day five, the evil Herobrine came to power. Herobrine was Notch's long lost brother, who has risen from the depths of the molten core. The exceptionally high heat energy resurrected him. Herobrine didn't like what he was seeing. He wanted a unhappy, miserable realm, filled with hatred and terror. He altered many things from Notch's creation. Herobrine stretched out the world, into a enormous flat plane, that stretched infinitely in all directions. He then corrupted many life forms, creating many horrible beings, including creepers, zombies, living skeletons, and giant spiders. Notch became aware of this problem, and decided to create a new realm for banishment.

Notch took some lava from the overworld, and mixed it with lots of stone. It formed a brittle, red rock called "Netherrack." When it is set ablaze, it will burn for eternity. He moved all of the Netherrack into a large plane, crammed with air pockets inside. He filled the floor of the realm with lava. He added many more traits, such as glowstone, quartz, and streams of lava. He took squids from the overworld, and mixed them with netherrack. They were transformed into Ghasts, flying creatures that shot fireballs from their mouths. He took pigs from the overworld, and transformed them into zombie pigmen, which wielded golden swords.

Notch dubbed the realm "The Nether". Notch banished Herobrine into the Nether, in which the gliding Ghasts awaited to punish him. Notch tried his best to transport all of the evil monsters into the Nether, but he could not succeed in doing so. He managed to move the magma cubes, some of the skeletons, and the blazes in. The rest, he failed to banish. Notch also decided to banish rogue humans that cause destruction to others, known as griefers.

Notch gradually became happy again, as peace was being restored in his world. He noticed that Herobrine's monsters taught the humans to fight, and defend themselves, so they can be prepared in case of a crisis. The humans were thriving. They were building amazing structures, and learning new things every day. But everything isn't happily ever after just yet...

Herobrine was furious with Notch. He learned to survive in the Nether, something Notch did not expect him to do. Herobrine lived off of the tears of the Ghasts, and the flesh of the zombie pigmen. Herobrine had slain all of the banished griefers, and used their resources, from the overworld. After long periods of time, Herobrine constructed massive Nether fortresses. Herobrine lived in them, until he gained enough power to take revenge on Notch.

Meanwhile in the overworld, Notch was adding the "sprinkles to the cake". He created an indestructible layer of stone at the bottom of the world, so no one falls out when they go too deep. Notch also added a few new ores, and even a way to access the Nether, for its resources. But Notch didn't realize his big mistake. Once the first few humans discovered their way into the Nether, Herobrine slain them all, and made his way to the overworld. After he regained his power, he created his own realm. He soared up to incredible heights.

Herobrine took a block of bedrock, and expanded it into a huge mass, which will be known as "End Stone". Herobrine then created Endermen, tall black monsters which show aggression when gazed upon. Endermen can pick up blocks, and teleport instantly to other places. Some of them teleported down to the overworld, causing trouble. Herobrine then constructed obsidian pillars, jetting out the bottom of the End. At the end of each pillar, he created an Ender Crystal. Herobrine's plan was to use the crystal's powers to fire down at the overworld, and destroy it, and the Nether. When Herobrine was still working, one of the crystals exploded, due to a rogue Enderman. The explosion was so bright, it outshined the sun, during the day.

Notch noticed the flash in the sky. Notch ascended up, and found Herobrine, and his realm. Herobrine didn't notice Notch yet. Notch wanted to sabotage his plan, but he couldn't do it himself. So Notch descended back to the overworld. Notch built giant strongholds, with portals that lead to the End inside. Notch ascended back to the End, and confronted Herobrine. Notch was very angry with Herobrine. The two of them fought. It was a horrible, violent fight. It was close, but Notch emerged victorious. However, after the battle, Notch was very weak. Notch took the fallen Herobrine, and merged him with an Enderman, to create a horrible beast, known as the Ender Dragon. Then, Notch took the entire dimension, and flipped it upside-down, so no one could re-activate the super weapon. Notch was in very bad shape, and slowly losing his power. Notch fell back to the overworld, and landed in the middle of a desert. He struggled to stand up, but he stumbled back down.

After a week, the humans found Notch in the desert. He was suffering, and dying. The humans tried their best to save him, but they were not successful. Notch's death brought deep sadness throughout the overworld. The humans had no one to look up to. Many of the humans began to die off, because they were beginning to lose faith. Steve was still alive at the time. He became aware about Notch's death, and grew very depressed. But nothing would stop him. Steve convinced everyone that everything would be okay, and everything was in order. The humans gained faith in Steve, and slowly began to thrive again.

Hundreds of thousands of years later, the overworld went through many major changes. The strongholds Notch built were covered by eroded land. Some humans managed to enter the End, but no one has ever returned. Some of the portal's frame blocks were left activated. Many generations passed by, leaving abandoned structures, some of them still populated. The overall population was decreasing, fast. Steve's family's generation was still living. All of his descendents were very intelligent, and strong, but barely managing to survive. That was until you were born, and you were given the task to survive, and avenge the death of Notch. Notch, and his son, Steve, have faith in you. You are the only one left. The rest of the story, is up to you.

People say emeralds are extremely rare because they only spawn in mountain biomes. Because of that, in the whole world, there are much less emeralds than diamonds, because diamonds will spawn in every biome. But if you do mine in a mountain biome, they are fairly common.
