Rotten flesh is useful for packs of wolves, but if you don't tame wolves, then rotten flesh is useless. Sure, it is a last resort food, but you can quickly establish a good food source. I hope Mojang makes a useful addition to rotten flesh, that most players will use.
You can really do it already. Just place the bed on a normal block, break the blocks below the bed, and replace it with glass. This suggestion would be helpful though.
NOTES
For the ashwood trees, just use the normal leaf texture, but reddish gray.
For the ruby's item sprite, use the original ruby that was replaced by the emerald.
Sulfur ore and meteor blocks are found on lumps on the ground, when you are near the meteor.
Well, Actually this nether wouldn't be sheltered by bedrock. It would have an open sky. The aspect is the meteor caused the dimension to cave in on itself, forming the nether you know now.
You three may help, just do the textures as the normal minecraft block res. or 16x16. Just send me the textures as a message, and I can't start coding until I have all of the textures.
