I would say we have gotten a lot of new weapons in this latest update. We have a range of new arrows, which really changes up ranged combat, and we also now have the lingering potions, which are a very cool addition to combat, which allow for some new strategies and traps. Additionally, the axe is now a viable weapon option (wooden axe has same damage as diamond sword), and hoes and shovels also follow this trend. Not to mention, the 1.9 update is far from finished, this is just the tip of the ice berg.
