Just been reading through all your posts above. Thank you everyone for your support, your patience and understanding shown in your comments above. The pack is certainly not abandoned, but with the way life is at the moment, with such little free time, I've found it very difficult to face up to all the changes that have come along since as far back as MC 1.7.
A little back history to put things in perspective, but as this may not be relevant to your enjoyment of this texture pack you may not wish to bore yourself with reading it, hence why it's in a spoiler:
Last year soon after completing my GS v.18 Update my wife suddenly had to give up her work due to serious health issues for which she has since needed a number of operations. Not to be too melodramatic, she's doing much better now. However, with looking after her and my youngest child, who is severely disabled, my real-life work has suffered over the past year. We lost a lot financially and have had to make some drastic changes in our life-style. I've been working hard on converting our large garden into a kind of urban homestead to save money and so I can be on hand to help and ferry family around. As you might imagine this doesn't leave me with much energy or enthusiasm for creatively working on my texture pack...I have tried and done some things, but in another direction. To explain: one good little thing that came out of all this is that my wife has become hooked on Minecraft too, 'mod-packs' in particular, so we share some time together in the evening, when she has the energy, playing together in FTB or other such mod-packs and I've done lots of plant textures and other odds'n'ends to surprise her with, but these have mostly been for MC 1.7 mods. Then recently we decided to try a couple of MC 1.12 modpacks, the latest being 'SevTech' on Twitch and that's a whole new story...
I have recently taken a look at MC 1.12.2 and been shocked and discouraged at how bad things look with GS at the moment (I get very critical of GS when I've been away from it for some time) and how much needs doing to bring it up-to-date and sort out texture arrangements now we have such things as concrete, colored clays and terracotta.
I will never just 'abandon' the pack as I've put so much work into it over the past years...is it 8 years?!...and as VermillionTwilight mentioned above, I don't want anyone else working on the pack as it is my 'artwork'. However, to continue work on it I guess I will just have to take things one step at a time and release smaller updates more often as and when I can. Also I want to concentrate more on how the pack looks without the need for or dependence on Optifine (which I've had problems with when playing modded Minecraft). That was always my plan after I'd upgraded to GS v.18. Working on trying to upgrade everything at once takes longer and also results in me feeling 'burned out'. Minecraft, albeit modded, is still the only 'game' that I really love and play. If you cared to read the spoiler above you'll just have to bear in mind mine and my family's continuing circumstances.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone who posted such supportive comments above...even if it's only to make me feel guilty about not keeping the pack updated.
Now...to try and figure out how everything works and where everything goes again!
Hey man, we all understand. Life can be unfair sometimes. Just know that you got us bro don't forget that

Sorry to hear about the stuff you went through back then, hope things have gotten better since then and I hope they continue getting better. Of course, we're all quite glad to have you back!
It's about time I came back to help work on this pack myself, considering it's been a good year or two since I've done anything on these forums.
What needs to be done in terms of textures for this pack? Is there, like, a list or something for it?
We got a Discord. Everything in development is there

Hey Everyone ( Derek Smith, Texture Artist Union, Community at Large)
History here. I found myself thinking about Last Days tonight and I just wanted to say how proud I am of everyone who continued this pack after I left so suddenly. It is truly humbling to see what everyone in the community has done to continue and expand on things so many years later. I spent a little time on the lore thread earlier and is simply surreal to see what people have done to expand upon the foundation I set with orbital industries, the huggatrons and the likes. I hope everyone is still enjoying this pack, and I just wanted to say that I am truly grateful for the experience I had with the minecraft community while working on Last Days. Truly this will have always been a very special and rewarding experience for me. I left the community in the midst of an exceptionally challenging break-up and I am not happy with the way I handled that. but I am ecstatic with the work everyone did picking up the pieces and continuing to build and rebuild and expand and rebuild over all this time. Any how, it is late and feeling emotional and a bit buzzed, haha... but keep on keepin on everyone!!!
Omg. The great History makes his return! Glad to see you're back on the straight and narrow. I cant wait to see what your plans our for the pack.

But keep in mind that the Dr. was taken over by the creature with the white eyes. So maybe Herobrine is a separate entity to Crocopolous? No one knows.

According to the lore, a scientist by the name of Dr. Crocopolus, who worked for O.I., conducted many experiments on humans and space. One of the experiments was the creation of pocket dimensions and super humans. Both of the experiments ended up failing with the humans turning into horrible monstrosities that can teleport, and the Dr. going completely insane in his own "madness dimension". As for the dragon, I'm not sure if Croc turned into it, or if it's a collective form of madness. It's really up to the player to decide how everything fits into the lore based on what is given to you.

For concrete? I think since they're inevitably going to be building materials for house construction, it shouldn't really matter so long as it's light blue
Here's my concrete idea i posted on the discord a while ago
*O.I. Comprehensive Construction Kits - Concrete Now featuring OI's new construction product, the CCK! CCK is a peculiar building material comprised of powdered concrete, miscelaneous debris, and machine parts. When it comes into contact with water, it oxidizes and the various machine parts activate and dissolve into the other materials. This alters their texture, pigments, and even molecular structure, resulting in anything from marble tiles to clay bricks, even steel plating depending on the machine parts used
Maybe a semi-frozen concrete block?

So what kind of block can we get out of light blue Geiger Counters?

Oh good! If you want, you can help us out with textures in the discord if you want.

They were probably scrapped. And the team is going to finish the main pack first for 1.12 so that they can start on other projects
