- Not a single new weapon.
Axes are weapons now. Sure a new weapon would be cool, but it would be hard to add one that would be useful and balanced.
- Only two new items (ok, one has some variations) that actually had anything to do with combat.
There are plenty of [i]improvements[/i]
- A new combat mechanic that angered almost everyone, even though it could be disabled.
Attack cooldown is MUCH better and more fun than *click*click*click*click*click*click*
- The brilliant idea of tools being used as weapons (shovels and axes) that would do more damage but with less speed, but that was removed for pretty much no reason.
What? Nothing was removed
- The reintroduction the quiver and- oh, that was also removed, again...
Probably because being able to carry tons and tons of potion arrows could be overpowered - which is why they don't work with infinity either.
- The removal of some random thing that had been around for a while.
What was removed?
- A new Ender Dragon fight which is not at all new and now gives people one less reason to buy console edition.
A much better fight is now available for pc. Console editions aren't for a different game, they are for people who don't have good computers among other reasons.
- End cities, because we wanted those so much more than a single new weapon IN THE GODDAMN COMBAT UPDATE. I mean, why would someone expect a new weapon in this [/i]update? Crazy, right?
End cities add a lot more to the end.
- Elytra, which are pretty cool but break pretty quickly because you're not allowed to have any progression whatsoever in survival without constantly needing materials.
They don't break that fast, you can put unbreaking on them, you can repair them, and giving them mending makes them last forever.
- Beetroots, because they have SO [/i][/b]much to do with combat.
A small addition. many people enjoy more varieties of food.
- Smaller bunnies for no reason.
They thought it was better.
- An expensive potion effect with almost no practical use.
You can constantly re-summon the ender dragon and all you need to do is use a bottle on the acid breath.
- A potion effect that's really cool and- oh, what's that, you can't inflict it and only receive it?
Levitation could be very overpowered if you could make potions with it. It can be very useful for mapmakers
- And a bunch of other stuff that doesn't involve combat at all.
TONS of things were added and a lot are for mapmakers to make even more amazing things than they have already done. Have you heard of the person who is recreating the ENTIRETY OF POKEMON RED IN MINECRAFT?

I have only watched the lps (because I don't want it AND I don't have money) and I say that a lot of line sin it are very cheesy and cringy.
Also I have ALWAYS HATED animations that add mouths because they look weird as hell on blocky minecraft characters. Then there are also the weird character models.

I took ages finding and End city, but apparently now in creative mode you don't pick up items out of item frames.
I can't remember creative dropping items out of frames. just use pick block which defaults to clicking your scroll wheel. -

I have no idea what is wrong then. We cannot whitelist either of the accounts. I even just tried again when I whitelisted the two other people below (see attached image).

Then you have the correct ip. We can't seem to whitelist either of your accounts, and when I search on a skin database website to check your username, neither account works. Are you sure your accounts are active?

Maybe there is an issue with the whitelist? Or maybe you didn't get/input the ip correctly Alpha? When you try to log onto the server is the icon the same N in my signature?

What would edited the pack version accomplish though? Didn't the way models are loaded change a lot between 1.8 and 1.9?

I have 4 json files that make bows be held differently that I had taken from a resourcepack I tried out in 1.8. I can't remember the name of the pack I took them from, and I have no idea how to edit them so that they work in current versions of minecraft, so I was wondering if there was a tool to convert them, or if someone could possibly help me do it manually.

I've been playing with cit since it was added to optifine and love it so much. Still have not mastered it at all though. You created ItemBound, right? I'm probably going to take some inspiration from it as I make my own textures if that is ok.

I am trying to make stack textures for lapis lazuli, but I can't figure out what id to place next to "matchItems=". The id for lapis is 351/4, and I can get it to apply to all dyes (351), but I don't know how to place the 4 to make it only work for lapis. I have tried "351/4", "351 4", and what I knew would probably not work "dye_powder_blue". Does anyone know how to type the ids for items like this?

This mod is similar to sound filters, but it is updated to 1.11 so I'll have to go with it. Actually sound filters just updated so I'll need to compare.

Well what I meant is if it was possible to have an entity change texture with it's name. Example:
If I tame an ocelot and get a black and white one, it would of course use the default black and white texture (Image 1). If I nametag it "Queen Rosie" it would use the texture set in the files for that name (image 2).
My original question was if that was possible already or if it could eventually be implemented (since mob model changes are already being added).

I thought random mobs was just random texture changes. What would I need to do to allow naming a mob to change the texture?

Is there/are there any plans to allow mob textures to be changed based upon their name (like with cit)?
On the server I play on I work with the owner to make a resourcepack with cit functions so we can make custom items. So that other people could see it (and I wouldn't see it on other people) I added my own custom elytra textures using cit. I'd love to be able to do the same with mob textures. Then I wouldn't see all black and white cats as my irl one (I made a texture for), and other people on the server could see it.
