    How many hours can you play per week?: I got 3 days off a week, can probly play for 4 or 5 hours those days, 2 or 3 other days if I've got time!
    Why do you want to join?: The last server I was on kinda fell apart. Then it started up again, then fell apart. Then I ran it for a bit. Then it fell apart. You get the gist. I'm lookin' for a group that's gonna stick around through a world reset (should that happen, fine if it doesn't!) and a community that's fun to hang out with!

    I will forest your rules.

    Why do you want to join?: I've been looking for a good SMP server that wouldn't shut down within the first month of joining. The fact that you've been around since 2013 interested me. Then I saw that you've just reset the map and I was sold.

    Then you have the correct ip. We can't seem to whitelist either of your accounts, and when I search on a skin database website to check your username, neither account works. Are you sure your accounts are active?

    posted a message on Is there a tool to convert model json files from 1.8 to current versions?
    Quote from TRZTheRZ»

    If you wanted to try your luck, just edit the pack.mcmeta file and you will see one of three things:

    In 1.8:

    {

    "pack": {
    "pack_format": 1,
    "description": "Description"
    }
    }

    In 1.9:

    {

    "pack": {
    "pack_format": 2,
    "description": "Description"
    }
    }

    In 1.11:

    {

    "pack": {
    "pack_format": 3,
    "description": "Description"
    }
    }

    Enjoy making texture packs

    - Rogue

    What would edited the pack version accomplish though? Didn't the way models are loaded change a lot between 1.8 and 1.9?

    posted a message on Is there a tool to convert model json files from 1.8 to current versions?

    I have 4 json files that make bows be held differently that I had taken from a resourcepack I tried out in 1.8. I can't remember the name of the pack I took them from, and I have no idea how to edit them so that they work in current versions of minecraft, so I was wondering if there was a tool to convert them, or if someone could possibly help me do it manually.

    These are the 4 files:

    You need to enter in 4 as a damage value.

    try

    matchItems=351 (or matchItems=minecraft:dye)

    damage=4

    Thank you!

    I've been playing with cit since it was added to optifine and love it so much. Still have not mastered it at all though. You created ItemBound, right? I'm probably going to take some inspiration from it as I make my own textures if that is ok.

    I am trying to make stack textures for lapis lazuli, but I can't figure out what id to place next to "matchItems=". The id for lapis is 351/4, and I can get it to apply to all dyes (351), but I don't know how to place the 4 to make it only work for lapis. I have tried "351/4", "351 4", and what I knew would probably not work "dye_powder_blue". Does anyone know how to type the ids for items like this?

    Quote from Ringoster»
    enter]Hello all, I'm affraid I have to make a rather disappointing announcement: Triton is going to be discontinued.

    Why?

    Put simply, Triton's style and workflow takes far too much time and effort for me to realistically keep up. Drawing everything in a meticulously hand-cel-shaded style unfortunately takes a LOT of time compared to say, painting with a brush tool, or using pixel art. Furthermore, my standards for my own work have changed, and Triton's style just doesn't appeal to me like it used to.

    What next?

    Triton will still be available for download. I'll update it to the 1.11 versions pending their release (just a simple matter of changing the .mcmeta file's version, so quite doable). As for a hand-off/continuation, I would be truly honored if any competent artist(s) volunteered for such a thing, but it's honestly not something I'd recommend, since as I said, texturing for Triton is quite a timesink and I feel that such efforts could be better put to use in other packs and projects.
    I don't think I'm done with Minecraft, however. A few months ago I started playing around with a new 16x style that has been quite enjoyable to work with. Another pack may be in the works. No guarantees though!
    360,000 That is a LOT of downloads. Like, I really can't even wrap my head around how many downloads, how many clicks, how many individual people that is. Is it really that many? Are mediafire's stats bugged or something? :P
    If one of those clicks was you, thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! I hope Triton brought a better, more attractive, and more stylized visual and auditory experience to your Minecraft than that default silliness Mojang would call "art". That was certainly my intention, and I feel like I accomplished that in spades. Of course, YOU'RE the one who actually grabbed ahold of the pack and made all that work worthwhile. :)[/center]
    I had been waiting for this pack to be completed for a long time so this is very sad news. I love this pack's aesthetic, but I found it hard to use with the missing textures. I'd love to see you make a 16x pack as I have only really been using 16x textures recently. Since you are going to be updating it to 1.11 will you be updating the addons too? I enjoyed putting the iron golem voice addon over any pack.

    Well, for you to have random textures they do need a specific name attributed to them and then set it up in the config files if you want them to spawn everywhere or just in specific biomes.

    If you mean spawning, let's say a purple cow, because you textured one like that, that's not possible as the purple cow is not a default -in game- texture to begin with. All random mobs textures use the default textures of the game as "template".

    If my memory doesn't fail me, since meta:data was removed from the game in late 1.6, now you cannot spawn custom textures because the available slots in the game's GUI are gone.

    Best regards,

    Well what I meant is if it was possible to have an entity change texture with it's name. Example:

    If I tame an ocelot and get a black and white one, it would of course use the default black and white texture (Image 1). If I nametag it "Queen Rosie" it would use the texture set in the files for that name (image 2).

    My original question was if that was possible already or if it could eventually be implemented (since mob model changes are already being added).

    Best regards,

    I thought random mobs was just random texture changes. What would I need to do to allow naming a mob to change the texture?

    Is there/are there any plans to allow mob textures to be changed based upon their name (like with cit)?

    On the server I play on I work with the owner to make a resourcepack with cit functions so we can make custom items. So that other people could see it (and I wouldn't see it on other people) I added my own custom elytra textures using cit. I'd love to be able to do the same with mob textures. Then I wouldn't see all black and white cats as my irl one (I made a texture for), and other people on the server could see it.
