First of all, post your specs, so we can see the "bottleneck" in your computer, also, there's MCRegion.

Unfortunately, I have no clue about the specs on my laptop. I am very illiterate about the actual specs of these things. From 2008 I think. HP G60 is the model... And it is incredibly slow at Minecraft lately, average framerate for vanilla is twelve-eight frames per second or less. Runs on Vista. Battery life is less that two hours at minimal performance settings.

    Optimine I am aware of.
And I play on Fast graphics.
And I don't know what else to do.
I use the Pixeludi texture pack. Help.
    Please?

But... I thought this was the right forum? I'm talking about something that is not already available to my knowledge in the current program. So, if it already CAN be done, please say how. Anybody.
Also, I specify posters because I feel like they would make sense. A player could take nine paper units into crafting to create one and then place it on the wall.
I realize this could need to go under texture packs, but that isn't what I am talking about here.

Simple. A method of placing photos into Minecraft from your PC.
For example, on the wall of your fortress.
Is this able to be modded in?

posted a message on For the future of Minecraft Modding
Okay, this is a simple thought.
Risugami's Mod Loader is probably the miracle that makes most of the mods here possible.
More Block ID's is a wonderful mod also, because it FURTHER expands the limits of what can be done with mods.
    Here is my problem.
Even with more blocks to work with, it is frustrating to KNOW there is still a limit. However high that may be.
It still bugs me that we still have to handle limits on our hopes for Minecraft.
Eventually, the Mob-Making programs will be created, as will the Mod-Creator programs that will allow nearly ANYONE to create mobs and mods of their own. Whatever limits we have currently will be reached rather swiftly then.
How do we expand that limit? How do we begin ADDING to what Notch created rather than filling in the open parts?
I'm sure we can create more space to work in, I'm certain that it is possible to create a means of indefinitely adding to the program.
However, we need to start thinking very much ABOUT the box.
We have to make the box bigger, sooner or later.
Can we create more than 255 ID's?
Can we make the program run faster?
Can we create an online market in Minecraft?
Why not create a Television set that connects to videos from Youtube?
We need to expand the box, ideally, we need to make it big enough to contain everything we can dream up.
I am very much a nut.
I have unrealistic goals, look at my suggestions. One that I am FANATICAL about is creating a Falconry system in Minecraft, look at my topics and you'll see it. Catching and training hawks, falcons, eagles and owls to hunt with a human partner. This was NOT in the original plan, and the idea sounds crazy. I am convinced it can be done and done well, to add another layer to Minecraft's gameplay. Xie has created an entire culinary system that adds ANOTHER layer.
I can dream FOREVER and I have no knowledge of HOW to actually mod. I am trying to learn, but EVERY Minecraft player is learning how. Every fanatic has a swarm of creative energy, and I think we need to start thinking about how much space is left on the canvas.
    Make it bigger.
    Make it more accessible.
    It will never be enough.
Post suggestions and regular comments in this thread, anything that could help toward expanding what can be done with the program or adding to the program.

I really have no familiarity with Dirt, but the name is probably repelling people since it LOOKS like you're requesting that dirt be modded into Minecraft, which is already present. You should probably edit the topic of your post to suggest it is an iPod App translation, that way there might be a fan that will see it. Sorry!

I have just conceived a thought. Multiple types of ADDITIONAL birds could be added over time, for example a Phoenix in the Nether that would be a trainable enemy? Anyway it was a thought. I will keep forming this until a fellow bird nut sees it and happens to be good at modding, unlike me.

Useless observation, but it seems that every genuinely new mod is used as a base to open up a new class of mods. This Snail and the files in it can be used to make the extravagent stuff, so really all this snail needs to be is just a proof fo concept if nothing else. I'm amazed by how adaptable this program really is, BTW I love this forum. Everyone here is crazy. YAY!

posted a message on [IDEA] New Realm/ between
Actually, this is an idea that is not mentioned very often. I suppose you could lift the specs of the portals to the Nether and use them to make another portal...
Maybe, a place filled with.... :Diamond: and maybe new, unique enemies? Of course to fill the region with :Diamond: you would need a truly ludicrous task before you could go to it. Perhaps the player would first need to create a portal of :Diamond: first like with the Nether? Actually, since the Nether is nothi ng but :Lava: that can be made into obsidian, why not have themed portals? For example, make a portal of glass and it will take you to a vast, vast desert world. Or if you make one of TNT it could make a world of exploding enemies and Sulphur Blocks (Mod needed there) or a portal could perhaps be made of stone and you would be taken to a world that is NOTHING but dungeons and endless stretches of caves?
Another thought that is rather odd, if you used iron for the portal, you could be sent to a world of SUPER high technology, feauturing RoboCreepers and Skeletons with Miniguns and Pig Cyborgs and RoboSheep and Zombies that are cybernetically enhanced to also serve as pirates AND ninjas!!
(All of this is brainstorming. Take what you like all that read this.) Personally, rather than themed worlds I think it would be wonderful to see mods one day enable multiple types of portals that would take the user into unique and insane worlds that could have a unique look and feel by applying texture packs to them perhaps if the bugs could be fixed in that idea.

Welllaaa i dont really seem to get the point of these creatures being added but insted of requesting a new mod why dont you request some one to change the bird textures from mo crature (which already has birds) to owls falcons etc.?

Well, the point of it is to create an authentic system of raising and training birds of prey. One COULD use the existing birds as a base, and I believe it would be very ideal to do so. The problem is I'm trying to get the birds to be incorporated as a game mechanic moreso than anything else. Having birds of prey is easy enough, but I really feel like they could have a very good role if they could be realically caught and trained. I am biased however, since I spent a few years trying to get a falconry permit before discovering the terrain here is very unideal and there are no falconers here to train me for my permit. Multiplayer could use this too one day, and I think siccing your hardearned birds on the enemy could be a great deal of fun!
