posted a message on Using dyes on water?
    Quote from erictom333»

Okay. There will have to be 137 different types of water added (normal water + 16 primary colours + 120 secondary colours), or 138 if you count no water. Currently there are 2 different fluids that can occupy blocks; adding coloured water will increase this, and therefore the number of blocks, 69-fold.

Then there is the old adage: why add this? It would be pointless IMO.

How would this be pointless? Colored water has been suggested several times due to the lack of dyeable liquids.

posted a message on A more customized Survival mode

This is suggesting a very biased form of customization. I like the gamerules which can turn on and off features such as firetick and mobgrief because they aren't based on versions. Customization shouldn't be to convert back to versions but rather to choose what sort of gameplay a player prefers.

While I like this for the sake of consistency, this idea is way too overpowered. My suggested change is to have mobs drop NOTHING when killed. No experience or loot will drop. Instead, the mobs will vanish into black particles. This way, they are used as defenders of the loot inside the dungeon chests.

Canoe: Why would anyone use boats if they could get canoes for just a little price higher. I like the idea, but maybe canoes can be slower.

Submarine: There seems to be no benefit for being in the submarine rather than going down yourself.

A mob's behavior makes it what it is and these would just make them different mobs. A visual change is necessary to distinguish a mob from its counterparts such as the charged creeper and spider jockeys.

Yes- the only difference is splash potions of water will od more instant damage and this would do poison? They're both specifically for fire based mobs and I don't think 2 potions just for fire based mobs would be necessary.

posted a message on Minecraft Water Mob - The Fanfish

To differentiate the fan block from the magma and soulsand, fans could be exclusive to land instead of water (some of the crucial mechancis should be transferred over). I prefer this to magma and soulsand because it's powered by redstone. I also like the idea of whirlpools and the fanfish is probably the best way to implement this.

Bamboo: Pretty good besides the facts that pandas can drop it. I don't like this new trend of mobs dropping what they eat- it doesn't make sense and subtracts from gameplay. It looks similiar to what sugar cane would be if it's texture was 3d.

Barrels: No support for barrels. The barrels feature could have just as easily been added to chests- they're both equally unrealistic. Additionally, the distinction is so miniscule. However, I like the aesthetic so it should be given a different use.

Bells: Too similiar to noteblocks with a gold block underneath it,

Blast Furnace: I don't understand why it's considered a furnace upgrade when in reality it's a downgrade. The doubling of its speed isn't worth tha halving of its uses and experience.

Cartography Tables: no support. Players should trade with villagers to get complete maps.

Stonecutter: Have the be able to placed in 2 directions like anvils and I'd support it.

Cornflower & Wither rose: full support

Lily of the Valley: Too many white flowers that give light grey dye that could instead be used for hite die.

New Dyes: I'm in support of this for the consistency- however, ink sacs would be for the most part useless.

    Grindstone: full support

    Jigsaw Block: full support

Lanterns: Not worth the cost. Perhaps they could be non-placeable blocks used as dynamic lighting.

Lectern: Another version of the sign- no thanks

Loom: Full support. However, more items besides banners should be able to have these patterns (tunics and saddles) to make it useful.

Scaffolding: What practical use are ladders for now? Especially with the new vine feature

Signs: full support of all changes regarding signs.

Slabs. Stairs, and Walls: full support

Smoker: Same opinion for this as the blast furnace

Berry: should be given more use, but support for its distinctivness.

Crossbow: The enchantments for crossbows and bows should be shared between each other. Their distinctiveness should be seperate via the actual tools- not the enchantments. No support as of right now.

Suspicious Stew: It's just one of those uselesss feautures that have no purpose.

    Cats: full support

    Beasts: full support

    Pandas: No support

    Pillager: full support

Pillager Outpost: I would support if the pillagers on the top of the towers shoot down at you.

Bad Omen: Shouldn't be a status effect and should last until the player reaches a village

    Raids and Patrols: Support

    Advancments

    • Ol' Betsy: support
    • Who's the Pillager Now?: too much crossbow advancments, get rid of this and bring back a taste of your own medicine
    • Two Birds, One Arrow: support
    • Arbalistic: too much crossbow advancments, get rid of this one
    • A Complete Catalogue: somewhat support

    Berry Bush Death Message: support

Brewing Stands shouldn't generate in village temples

A dye shouldn't have to be surrounded to create carpets from undyed carpets similiarly to the wool dying recipies

I like how chorus flowers break when shot with arrows and tridents

Dispensers being able to shear sheep would mean all tools would have to be similiar

Leaves dropping sticks is much needed- full support

Fully support the more logical nether brick fence recipe

Crafting for smoothened versions of blocks is great

Vines: I like the new changes made to them a lot

Beetroot Soup & Rabbit Stew: The new recipe is more convenient

Book and Quill: full support of changes

    Support of all other changes.

posted a message on Redo enchanments
    Quote from Leed»
game is seriously broken: Yes, it's way too easy

    For instance, i have a:

[Unbreaking 3, Lure 3, Mending, Luck of the Sea 1] Fishing Rod

    +

[Luck of the Sea 3, Punch 2, Power 4] Book

    =

    37 LEVELS???

All i am adding is Luck of the Sea and i need 37 levels. That is crazy annoying. I'm not even using 2 of the enchantments, why factor them into the EXP? This is not what I thought you would mean by broken. However, you're right. Factoring in enchantments that won't actually be added to weapons is too unfair, I suggest
    ---------------------------------------------------------

Now let us say i have that same Fishing rod but i try to add a:

[Unbreaking 3, Luck of the Sea 3] Fishing rod

    =

Too Expensive! It's too expensive because you already added 6 tools/books to the orginal fishing rod in the anvil.

Again, i'm only adding one of the enchantments and it surpasses 39 levels? Doesn't even let me even attempt to add it. I also have no option to remove enchantments in the first place.
    ---------------------------------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    THIS IS TOO OP!

No it is not. It makes logical sense. How does it make logical sense. They are both equivelant in how much sense they make. Enchanting is meant to get exponentially more difficult as the item gets stronger to prevent players getting overpowered tools faster, Why does adding 1 item to my gear cost me well over 40 levels? I'm adding not completely redoing all the other enchantments. Minecraft is way to based around grinding EXP and your EXP farm that is required to do much of anything in this game. I agree. However, the solution isn't to make enchanting easier but rather nerf experience farms. IF this really seems too OP all i have to do is switch to creative mode and cheat in a item (unless i'm on a server). What are you even trying to say at this point. Why would you switch to creative mode if something is overpowered. I would the think the opposite- if something was underpoered. Additionally, why would you switch to creative mode- once a player switches, he or she has no more incentive to play. So yeah, giving people more freedom early on will promote gameplay because even ant venom stated that potentially 1/3rd of all players don't play over a hour. That's definetly not true.

    3:01

Who do you have on your server that you are too worried about having good gear? Umm... almost everyone has good gear because it's so easy to get. Plus, I'm not worried because I play on a community SMP. If anything they would have just TNT'ed your base by now or poured lava everywhere. I fully understand your desire to play on an anarchy server, but do not assume that everyone does. The majority of survival multiplayer players play on community SMPs. Nonetheless, that is not an excuse to disregard other servers. Anyway, getting to your point, how is your base in anyway related to your armor? And why would you let other players TNT your base?

Ill look at in the replies for more stigmas and add then later.
