I've seen Storm's mod, and it's a great mod. But my mod is completely different from his except for the whole "Beer" thing. Please enlighten me as to how I simply retextured his.
I should have a version finished with wine by the end of the weekend if I can get textures for them. I can't make textures at all so if anyone is willing to help you will obviously get all due credit.
The man doesn't even have a mod, just a few ideas so don't get all up in arms about it. Besides, the idea of a new realm when you dream has been popular since beds came out and you in no way created it.
I fix the code for you and you call me that (I have no idea what that even means, surely something mean)
It means your wits are dim, dimwit. Calling him a code stealer was poorly thought out. When you follow tutorials for things like that you pretty much end up with the same code. The point is that you learn what the code does along the way.
Have to agree with Twilight here. 9/10 tutorials here are just so copy+paste oriented. They teach you little to no Java. Your problem was that you were inheriting a class, but didn't override each abstract method. This is basic Java stuff. If your 'tutorial' didn't explain this. Stop reading it, read some actual Java tutorials and you'll be fine with just looking at the games source code. The game itself is your best tutorial once you know Java.
It's not his fault that he was having this problem since that method only just came out with 1.0. You guys don't have to be so harsh, plenty of people learn java/modding from following tutorials and it's a viable method.
To everyone asking for SMP I do hope to do that in the future, but I have never touched SMP mods before so that would be a learning experience again. If someone could let me know if the achievement works it would be appreciated. I don't have a world to test some of these things on, but I know that the achievement showed up on the achievement grid.
After ages of not getting responses from people who offer to make them, I've decided to make my own thread. I'm looking for someone who would be willing to work with me and make textures when I need them for my mod (in signature). It would consist of items/blocks that you can easily look at real pictures of such as grape vines, cups etc. All due credit will obviously be given.
edit: Wow this really got necro bumped. Although I still need a texture guy for my latest project involving traps, gruesome deaths, and awesome things.
When I hit the barley when its growing it makes my screen go light blue, than later black..has anyone else had this happen, if so, how do I fix it? I really like this mod and I would like to use it without this weird crash
I fixed this issue and when I finish working on some things tonight I'll upload w/e I have finished for a new version.
I see that there is "data" for "Bucket of Whiskey" inside the files. Is it for the future or update? or its something you cancelled but forgotten to obliterate?
Proof : Look in TooManyItems, "Bucket of Whiskey" 2270
Yeah something like that. I've spent awhile trying to find a way to implement hard liquor without it being awkward or too complex. Mugs of whiskey seems awkward. Also, as it turns out you can make a large variety of hard liquor from things found in minecraft...
I may do wine first instead if I can find a good way to do grapes. I may have something cool planned, but it's so hard to find a good way to obtain seeds to start things with T.T

Sigh... this again.

Do you mean the render type? The only blocks would be rendered like reeds or crops.

The textures I need next are a wooden trellis, trellis with grape vine growing, grapes, and wine glasses.
