    posted a message on ★★★ Waterfalls ★★★
Support. I want to see both small and large waterfalls, but the large ones will only appear on Larger Terrain Generation, http://www.minecraft...ion-not-biomes/ (which hopefully gets implemented into Vanilla Minecraft eventually,) and the small ones on default Minecraft world generation.

posted a message on Seasons, Weather, & Natural Disasters! - The Weather Update
    <<{ :Diamond: Support! :Diamond: }>>

All of this should be planned for 1.9 or 1.10, (or maybe later than that,) as 1.8 is a different update, hope Dinnerbone gets this added soon,

P.S. I've noticed there was going to be an update for Minecraft, Xbox 360 edition, with hoppers, horses, and other stuff, in December, but it never came. Maybe Mojang decided to call it off that month? (And hope it comes next month or so?) If you have a tweet from Twitter that explains the reason the update never came, from any Mojang employee, please send it to me, or at least in plain text. (Possibly in a quote, where a Mojang employee quoted this.)

posted a message on The Old Sword Fighting is Sort of...Old
I like all of the new sword moves except horse swinging, which sounds a bit OP. (But if you let me know the drawbacks, I may vote for that too.) However, what if someone liked the old sword fighting and was raging at it's new mechanics? This could mean the new sword moves might be better off as enchantments, especially on the Enchantments Megathread of the suggestions topic.

Half support, (Vote up on thread and diamond :Diamond: anyway,) but cool idea! Minecraft could use all of this.

Edit: The exception, when it comes to enchantments for new sword fighting, is blocking, where there might be an enchantment that will allow you to use the old blocking system, where you can block infinity without losing any damage that could have been blocked to you.

I support! I've been using nature sound tracks as a substitute for these sounds, including others! This, along with birds and tree animals, will make Minecraft seem more alive. This must go to Mojang eventually!

posted a message on Boats Evolved; bigger, modular boats
Support, This would allow you to discover new lands while taking 4 chests worth of stuff along with you, which will not only help you find certain resources where your homeland may not have (in Minecraft), such as when gathering emerald and there is no extreme hills biome where you live, this will give you an advantage when trying to get the "Adventuring time" achievement, since you will not have to return for supplies as often, for example. Plus, Not only this will be awesome for use in SMP since you can have sea battles, if paired together with the "Better NPCs" suggestion, You can have villagers as a substitute for your traditional Minecraft human player crew, here's how that will work:
    • If an enemy monster/villager boat or ship is spotted by one of your villager crew, they will warn you via chat (or a window with the villager's head in it, just like in it's "Better" trading GUI, and the message, which would be cool if implemented, or there could be an option to select between the two.), such as, "Captain, I detected an enemy skeleton Carrack at sea! Ready the cannons!", or "Sir, I'm afraid we got a Zombie Cog near our ship! If you don't do something quick, we'll all die!".
    • Your villagers will operate the cannons just like the player would do, (and act, such as missing occasionally, to avoid them becoming OP, self-explanatory.) and will let you know via chat, or once again, if it will work out, instead, a window with the Villager's face in it, if any of, or all your cannons (whichever is best) are out of ammo. Example with window method: "Sir, we are out of ammo in our cannons! Please bring some more if you can."
    • Boats and ships will now spawn on coastal villages, which will generate when "Evolved Boats" get implemented, which will be predicted to come around v1.9-v1.12, or longer if notified by Mojang.
In short, ThesaurusRex84 and everyone else, this is quite awesome, ;) and the new boats and ships, If re-textured to fit, can be used with the Nether to populate the lava seas within. (So you can form your own ideas for them.) Here's a link that relates to that: http://www.minecraft...ether-villages/ Just look where it says "Lava boats" and click the spoiler below.

Last words: I'm thinking Minecraft needs this, possibly bad.

posted a message on Inventing the [square] Wheel
100% Support. If I did want to make a vertical mineshaft where I could haul my stuff up to the surface, as of now, rail and minecart are quite too expensive for me, so a wheelbarrow might be of good use."Are you nuts?! The wheelbarrow will obsolete the minecart [with chest], since the wheelbarrow will not need tracks!" This just adds 3 kinds of disadvantages to the wheelbarrow to balance it with the minecart. First, you have to pay more hunger than usual, especially when sprinting, which will cost you almost as much hunger as sprint jumping. Second, you cannot jump with the wheelbarrow in control, so if you have to go up a slope, you will need stairs, and you'll need the crafting table indirectly for this just for any kind of stair. (Plus, this adds even more hunger drain, especially when it's a slope going up 45 degrees.) Third, you can't control more than one wheelbarrow (which is self-explanatory), so having chest minecarts set to go to storage, another base, or a build site for a large building is more suitable for mass transport of items in later game. One other thing, I think "cars" will be suitable in Minecraft (99% support), but should be renamed to "Powered Cart" and they will have several advantages and disadvantages over the minecart and horses, Mojango.

    Pros:
    • Faster than a horse, which can speed up your trip to your nearest stronghold.
    • Does not require tracks, like the minecarts do, creating immediate savings on iron if you get used to it (or at least finally.)
    • Allows for the possibility of "Go-kart racing" in Vanilla Minecraft, if you can build you track so there's at least little risk of your "Go-karts" breaking from a crash.
    Cons:
    • It does require fuel, such as Coal or Charcoal like Droideka30's Steam Engine, ( http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1703619-better-powered-minecarts-steam-engine-now-with-more-concept-art/ ) and will use 1.5x as much. (1 Coal/Charcoal only powers it for 45 seconds, but this may change.)
    • Almost as tedious to control as the boat, and can skid, especially on ice.
    • Will crash if it hits a non-rubbery block at high speed, and even it colliding with rubbery blocks, such as the new 1.8 slime block and soul sand, will still cost it some durability.
    • When it does crash, it explodes, and will damage the player, having around a 75% chance of killing an unarmored, full-health (without health boost/absorption) player in one shot.
    • Does not have a storage space, like the donkey with chest and the Minecart with Chest does, So it's not the best for item transport, you may be better off with a donkey or if mass transport of such, Minecarts with chests
That is all for now, I may add more Pros/Cons to this sometime. Goodbye.

posted a message on Podzol spread *now with poll*
This isn't really much of a restriction for podzol spreading, but it should be flammable and spread to other podzol, except that it doesn't burn away when ignited with a flint and steel or a fire charge, rather, it will turn into a dirt block when it burns up, as if the compost has incinerated. In addition, there is another factor in how fast fire spreads across podzol besides difficulty, and that's sunlight. When it's daytime, the fire spreads faster than at night, considering the sun is shining during the day, which is applying heat, and it's not at night, you do know that already. (Imagine having a fire start on podzol on hard and during the day! Way too fast, huh?!)

At first, I didn't want to support this because I felt this would violate realism, but after knowing that the laws of gravity apply to almost none of the blocks in Minecraft (which was proof that this game was not focused on realism), if I didn't know how to use commands, I just wanted a dirt road in my world and podzol could already spread, I would use that block.

Final decision for podzol spread: 99.9999999999% (Get that as a pun, from a classic Cartoon Network show? Hint: Has something to do with "Grim adventures".)

posted a message on Bring Back Our Old Friend
    Quote from Badprenup
I so do not want to support this based solely on the fact that people are using hash tags, either ironically or because they don't understand them. Luckily I'm not that petty. However, I also don't want the Poppy to be removed, I like it. So how about a compromise? Keep the Poppy, Keep the Rose Bush. Add the Rose again, but make so it is obtainable by breaking the Rose Bush, either by hand or by Shears. Once you obtain the Rose, you can use it just like you would in the previous version. Then do the same thing for the new Peony and Lilac bushes.
You're probably right, for one thing, it can't hurt to have just one more flower in minecraft, (because I know that just one more could make a big difference), plus, some minecrafters, which I could be one of them, just can't figure out how to install mods, or they have decided there were too risky for their minecraft, (but in the case of being able to "have multiple minecraft copies per account", just:) too complicated, or just liked their minecraft vanilla and unmodded. Mojang should have thought about this (and even known about child minecrafters) before they made up their mind about the rose in 1.7.2, because there ARE children with minecraft as well, and most don't have any command, image editing and renaming, or mod knowledge.I'm with you and the creator and supporters of this thread. Two words now: 100% Support.

posted a message on 1.7.2 Changing The World: Update and Play Now!
Here is my full review of this update, written considering it's pros and cons.

    Pros:
    • /setblock command allows you to make all sorts of awesome things, such as pistonless sliding gates, (with their own sound effects as well!), invisible walls (use with the new command block minecarts for something else cool later described), even rail-laying minecarts without having to use a spawner minecart! (It will only be able to place activator rails, though.) To make these minecarts, use the command on a command block minecart: /setblock ~<desired #> ~-1 ~<desired #> activator_rail. Plus, it allows you to get spawners that spawn mobs other than pigs (Which you will always get no matter what you try with the /give @p monster_spawner, (I could be incorrect)).
    • /summon command allows infinite mob spawning, including spawning of certain mobs, such as the giant, skeleton horse, and zombie horse, which before 1.7.2 you could only do via third-party and external tools. (What a relief! :D )
    • New flowers make the botanical nature of the Minecraft world seem more alive, including ways to get certain dyes quickly without having to mix others.
    • This update is where with new biomes, (which I didn't notice yet, but has got to be on there), the Minecraft world gets one step further to planet Earth's biome diversity.
    • New music in overworld, which is cool, and this update even puts the Xbox 360 version music from the Nether and the End into the PC version, of course, it IS about time. (I bet some Minecraft players even got a little impatient shortly before this update was released.)
    • New /setworldspawn command, now you don't have to make a new world should you have your world spawn in the wrong area, even without third-party and external tools!
    • Shaders, including the notch one in 13w48a are awesome, allowing you to customize how you see the Minecraft world, and can even be used with certain texture packs to beef them up a little bit, such as when you use the shader: bits, with the RetroNES texture pack, you actually COMPLETE the NES look, with a low 8-bit resolution and NES textures, all of this into your Minecraft.
    Cons:
    • Music plays over each other, worse, you cannot stop it just by setting the music/jukebox and note blocks sound setting to 0, it just replays, only in a whisper. (But you can bypass this glitch by setting the Master volume to 0 and back up to what you had before, Bam. The music stopped and you can play your music disc without overlapping.)
    • Bug for horses getting hurt by walls may have been fixed in 1.6.2, but not for foal, especially when spawned in a wall with a horse spawn egg
    • Self-explanatory, some bugs with 1.7.2 world generation, including air pockets in seas and sharp biome cutoffs. (But as shown in the Minecraft launcher, 1.6.4 fixes world generation bugs that would appear in 1.7. If you haven't moved on to 1.7.2 yet, you should go to 1.6.4, if not already, and load up important areas of your world first before going on to 1.7.)
    • If you have a weaker-performance computer than mine, (Which mine can sometimes go really slow even on minimal graphic settings,) You may find the default textures corrupted (completely black, or black with specks, and grey water) from this update. (However, my computer was perfectly able to, aside from the lag without Opifine, handle 1.7.2.)
    • Somewhat lots of added lag without opifine, even more with shaders, but luckily, not too much. (I don't mind it that much TBH.)
    • New bug: /summon command sometimes fails to work, (message: Unable to summon object) even with difficulty other than peaceful (with monsters), and no matter what you try. (May be fixed by reloading your world/Minecraft, or loading a different world.)
    • Command block minecart block placement may be a little off from exact location of placement
    • Cannot place blocks with command block minecart with exact coordinates, rather only with relative coordinates (Type ~<Desired #>).
    Overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars (*)(*)(*)(1/2)( )

Final Desc: This update wasn't the best for Minecraft, but with all those awesome new addtions to the game, Mojang really did choose the right development direction for our game, and maybe for it's future in 1.8 and future versions as well if they keep it up.

posted a message on 1.7.2 Changing The World: Update and Play Now!
Hello, you know something about this update? Minecraft was an instant success from it's start, and all of it's previous updates, including the redstone and horse update for example, were AWESOME. But, as you know, 1.7.2 was the update that changed the world, inside Minecraft and out, and it hasn't EVEN existed for 5 years yet! It's just epic how a game like this could make a change to our world for the better of video gaming in *this* little time. Congratulations, Mojang, for pulling off this amazing event in just 4 years. ;)
