Yea, going full restart now, since there is no point to it keeping anything (quite a few items will be invalid most likely). Was only going to allow the keeping of "vanities" like the statues from Factorization (which I am deciding to remove). So yea, fully fresh start.
And yea, sorry, but college > Minecraft. Not going to fight it, and have been bogged down by quite a lot of tax papers, legal documents, and college forms to fill out for my financial aid. Between that, and low server activity, I just turned the server off for a while. If enough people pester me about it, I can put up the current save back up for a while if they want it, but would rather just wait it out.
Important Notices - 6/10/2013
Sorry for no updates or the server being on guys. Between me dealing with College stuff, and having only had time to play League lately as my side activity, as well as just waiting around for the massive update to Thaumcraft, I haven't been keeping the server up and running. This is why I have not responded to any invite request. Do be assured, I DO plan on bringing the server back up at a future date. Once Thaumcraft 3.1 updates, I plan to update the modpack, and add in a few new toys for us to play with, like Aether 2. Sorry for dropping the ball and not telling you all, this was my bad. Just... College is college. Got to have priorities, especially if I myself am to become a game developer in the future . Also a good chance in the future that after I take my java courses in school (I plan to get those out of the way ASAP) I could start doing my own mod. If I do, I'll add it into the server of course (don't worry. I only plan to add a high quality mod if I myself do one, not some cheap 5 cent do in a day one).
You know... I'm probably going to sound like a complete idiot for saying this, but I actually cannot find the dl link to this texture pack (if there even is one... I don't even see a link; I've just been clicking things. But there has to be, since other people have it for 1.5 idk). I've clicked every link on on your post, and I even tried to find other other places to download it from, because maybe the link on this topic wasn't working properly. For instance, pictures and links aren't loading, no matter which browser/computer I use (but maybe it has something to do with my stuff; I have no idea because I'm not all that tech-smart). And then I was thinking that it's because you have something about it being 90% done, but what do I know.
Anyway, I wanted to avoid sounding like an idiot, but I'm coming up empty handed here. Maaaaaaaybe a direct link to it from someone who has it... if that's cool. If not, I would at least like an answer, please.
But yeah, thanks dudes
Are all the images popping up right for you? Because the download link is an image, which could explain why you can't see it if some of the images aren't loading for ya.
So, just the Golems? maybe Im not using them right (havent gotten the intelligence core yet, so maybe that would help...), but they seem to be rather lack luster. Course, Ive gotten use to Buildcraft's pipes, and with FTB, I can just use those instead of golems.
since I have a stand alone thaumcraft version of minecraft, maybe Ill actually put some effort into using them better.
Golems are better at singular parts, or much more compact networks than what pipes can be used for, as well as being able to stock a chest with a specific quantity of an item. They also can be used to make "free range" pipe systems that don't really look like pipes. The trade off is they have a much reduced range (you can't just extend hundreds of pipes for distance, although a golem network is possible)
They do have some tricks of their sleeves, but are not as good at bulk transport. Smart golem use can make some very neat builds though. Combo a wooden Golem or hungry chest with some clay golems, and you can have a massive sorting system hidden in your wall where just a single wooden golem walks out of a hole to grab whatever "trash" you drop, put it in a chest, and have the rest of the golems sort it to no end.
I can't place the bushes. They're in my inventory but unplaceable. I can take them in my hand, but that's it. They also look smaller as the same bushes shown in NEI.
Are you actually trying to place them on grass (if berry bush) Stone (if ore bush) or Netherack (if nether bush)? Also, they are smaller, because they have to grow to full size after you place them.
What am I supposed to do with all the bushes I collect?!
Place them (Nether bushes must be on Netherack) and harvest the berries for an easy source of food? In my game I have a batch of 3 bushes (still hunting down the damn blueberry bushes) and you can use them for an easy source of food. They are not the most effecient food source, sure, but a very easy one (6 bushes can usually keep up with the rate at which you eat food if you just have them around the house). You can also use the bushes as just that... bushes. Just be sure to place some hard to see block (I.E. String) on top of them unless you want the full 3 high bush.
Sorry to everyone who has been/is wanting to get on the server this morning. Elo decay was about to set in, so I just went on a spurge of ranked games in League. Hard to play at my best when running the server, so I haven't turned it on much this morning. I'll have it back up later on. Sorry, but I got to have some of my fun too, lol.
Also, I am probably going to start giving out links to the launcher we are using from now on. I'll leave Mediafire up for those of you who prefer it, fully your choice. I have given up on FTB though, due to them never updating.
Alright. I actually have just been doing a bug test solo while none of the players are on, and I can confirm that while your mod does not CAUSE it, I did notice amplified effects when your mod was installed by a small bit. I have been systematically removing mods from both the mods and coremods folder (after saving a backup, of course) and it seems that maybe even forge itself, or just MC in general, is causing it.
If nothing else, you might be able to help me solve the issue and be a great help.
I also just did a full removal of all mods, and replaced them after loading the world. This, while it resolved these lag issues, isn't exactly a viable solution to my problem. This does let me know that it is something generated in world that causes the issue though. Only thing I am trying to figure out is what is 2 chunks wide, 5-6 chunks long, that could cause this issue? This means if you can actually pin-point what causes it, I can just remove and replace that one thing temperarily and just refund any player with stuff from that via creative/NEI. Still confused though, as there is just no logical cause that I can think of. It isn't Thaumcraft, isn't Forestry, isn't BoP, isn't your mod (alone anyway), isn't chunkloaders, isn't Tinker's Construct...
What has world gen that could cause it? Because my test show that it is something world gen related.

Also trying to figure that out. Still not sure.

They are also a great source of the oh so annoying alienis aspect that doesn't involve ender-farming.
