Is it just something that the MCF does, like a spam prevention of some kind?

It's there so people can't upvote every one of their buddy's posts so their buddy can look like he's some forum master. I know it sucks, but people abuse the rep system, so the limit is there to at least partially prevent people from doing that.

Apps take a while to go through due to the large amount that we receive.

    Just be patient.

    Thats very easy, just saying.

If it's so easy, let's see you make a full-blown PHP, HTML, and CSS-based website from scratch? Not so easy. Building websites is time consuming and very frustrating at times. You really do have no idea.

It's also very ironic, considering the fact that you decided to make a topic asking for a graphic designer? Well, that's very easy, just saying.

    Get my point? Hopefully.

Back on topic. If you don't have anything good to say, don't post.

It's really handy for staff since we know whether to give an informal or not for certain offenses just from looking at the post bit (no need to look at their profile anymore!). I wouldn't care if it was removed for members, but I would oppose removing it for staff.

posted a message on Unable to connect to server using curse
    Quote from AnTraXX55

Every time i try to connect to a server using curse it doesnt let me. It shows the log in screen using curse where i put my username and password but once i put it in it says "can't connect to minecraft.net" .I have come to the point where i dont know what to do. im logged in on my regular minecraft account but i cant join servers there so i decide to join through curse and that doesnt work either. Any help?

i feel like curse is synced in on the wrong minecraft account. because i have a mojang one and a mineraft one. the mojang one is the one that i bought just recently and minecraft one is the one i have had for a while but never bought the actual game.

Your Curse account can't be used to login to Minecraft or any Mojang services, it can only be used to login to Curse sites and services.

If you get the "can't connect to minecraft.net" error upon trying to login, please see https://help.mojang.com/ to make sure that the session servers are online. If they're online, but you're still having this problem, please create a topic in the Unmodded Minecraft Client Support section or contact Mojang directly.

    3. The new look and feel is pretty bad IMO, others agree. The nav bar, as well as the search bar, title bars, logo, etc. should be back to what they look like on the actual website. The new look doesn't really reflect Minecraft, except for the colors. I know the latest web design phase is "metro", "flat", or "simple", but it really just does not work for a website like this. It looks amateurish. I would even say it looks similar to phpBB (aka Planet Minecraft), and that's not a good thing :|

I like it personally. It's a lot cleaner to the dated L&F of the previous forum. I would say give it a little time first.

    4. Editing reasons no longer exist. Extremely useful if you would like to notify people that you updated the OP without them having to dig through tons of posts. Editing reasons can be filled out directly above the "save changes" button.

I seem to be able to add them

Must be a permissions issue then, will file a bug report.

Also, it would be very nice to be able to preview the edit history before rolling a post back. Some posts are edited a lot, and if we need to edit a few days back, we may need to roll it back multiple times just to get the right version of it.

    1. Logging in anonymously is no longer a feature, and it would be awesome to have it back. An anonymous login leaves no trace that you are online, hides the last time you were active, and it will show you as offline in posts and your profile. This is very handy for mods who are on a leave of absence, or for those who do not wish to be PMd to death because of the return of the "users online" that has been absent for so long. Nevermind, it was an option in the preferences panel.

    2. Removed content in the ModCP. Shows the latest content that has been removed, and allows you to search for it. Extremely useful if you need to reference something that you deleted awhile ago.

    3. The new look and feel is pretty bad IMO, others agree. The nav bar, as well as the search bar, title bars, logo, etc. should be back to what they look like on the actual website. 5. In your profile, your user group color should be shown on your name. Just looks nice and highlights the fact that someone is a staff member a bit more...

Unfortunately I don't think its really what he needs right now. My panel is really more of a hosting solution, not so much for individual use.

I might suggest MCMA if you want a fancy panel, or check out some of the things on the Bukkit site that are wrappers. I can't name any off the top of my head aside from mark2 unfortunately, but I know there are quite a few out there.

    Ah, ok.

If there's any panel I'd recommend that is paid, it would have to be TCAdmin. There really are no free panels that are of good quality, even though Multicraft offers a free version of their panel (not worth it).

New to this forum, though I've been lurking for years, finally making my first post!

I host my own Minecraft server on an internal network, nothing major, but I'm looking for a good server management tool. Right now our group has been so small I just take regular backups of the server folder and manage one world at a time.

I'm looking for the "best" (which I realize is totally unfair and subjective to ask), FREE server management tool that you guys prefer. Just has to be able to switch between worlds, and support the standard console commands. Needs to run on Windows!

Hopefully you guys can help guide me!

Edit: I've read through this already:
    http://minecraft.gam...Server_wrappers

One of our moderators offers a completely free and open source server panel that, in my opinion, seems very attractive and promising. Most of the paid platforms are not the best (like Multicraft or McMyAdmin) anyways, so you're smart for looking for something free first.

    Check it out: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/2592413-introducing-pufferpanel-the-open-source-multicraft-replacement/

Yeah I know and I had them perfectly placed, but I removed the rank to wait for help, it had permissions and everything, yet only first world permissions worked.

I need the complete file, with the modifications you made/want fixed in order to help you.

    Quote from timmc94

My private server is running the snapshots for 1.8, and with the addition of the new "/title" command in 14w20b I would like to automatically display a title to users when they log in to the server. Can I do this without the use of command blocks and redstone, on the server side instead of in-game?

Nope. Simply said, stuff like this can only be done with Bukkit.

    Ok here it is:

Your file isn't even setup correctly. Reread that wiki page...

Under the "worlds" section, you need to have "permissions" too.
