I think most can agree that security and exploit patching should automatically take a higher priority than adding new features or fixing minor bugs that really don't cause many issues.

I can understand them just fine. I'm not from the UK either. -
Aug 8, 2014StealthBravo posted a message on New Fences? New Gates?I can't find the Tweet, but Dinnerbone has been talking a lot about game optimization testing that they've been doing internally. They are trying to make MC more performance-oriented, believe me, they have not forgotten about it at all.Posted in: News
As for the new fences, finally, please add it Mojang! -
Jul 2, 2014StealthBravo posted a message on The New Minecraft Forum is Now Live!Posted in: NewsQuote from Sildur1I think I'm having some issues with a custom font I were using, can I somehow revert to mc's forum default font?
The default font is Helvetica, you can select it in the Font Family menu in the editor. -
Jul 2, 2014StealthBravo posted a message on The New Minecraft Forum is Now Live! Most of the users here aren't used to the flat/metro themes, so yeah, most won't like it for a long time. It doesn't help that the theme on the IPB site was there for over 2 years, so most were really used to it and stuff. I have lots of things I would change, but whatever. I think they had plans to make this look a bit better, don't quote me on that though.Posted in: News

You said we'll be logged out of our accounts; I guess that means we won't be able to view member profiles.
Honestly, I'm quite used to this current format; it'll be really, really weird to suddenly switch to the new one.
Though I'm not nearly as active here after that one thread that shall not be named got deleted (or at least hidden from public view), so I guess it won't really mean much.
It's not that big of a switch... Sure, it's new software, but it has almost all of the features that IPB has, with the addition of a few more useful things. Not to mention that it's more performance savvy, doesn't eat your posts, etc. This will probably be the final software switch for this forum for a long, long time to come. You'll get used to it
NO, THIS IS PATRICK.Quote from AudacityTidesSo will we be able to access beta.minecraftforum.net? [Sorry if this has been already answered, and sorry if it's a dumb question to ask.]
It will probably remain up for a week or two after the live site is running Cobalt, but that's up to Curse. -

I wonder what forums your using...
Anyway, liking the new forums, good job
It's using Cobalt, a custom forum software platform developed for Curse sites.

I love how this happened some months after I published the "flat MCF design" concept by me.. .-.
It was bound to happen since that's the latest design craze, although I don't think it goes real well with Minecraft honestly. -

Has post editing really been fixed? I've only tested the new site a little, but I haven't been able to confirm that. Considering the host of new problems with formatting posts, I can't see how it could be.
Either way, its too great a sacrifice for too miniscule a payoff. Even if that one tiny problem has been solved (which I've seen no indication of), it's only been replaced with numerous other problems that are equally crippling, if not more so, which really defeats the purpose. It simply wouldn't be worth it.
The editor is 100% fixed, so it shouldn't eat your posts anymore. -

By disabling Javascript in your browser these forums are just as fast as the new ones.

Banning IP's is still pointless because you can just use a proxy to get around it. - To post a comment, please login.

It's there so people can't upvote every one of their buddy's posts so their buddy can look like he's some forum master. I know it sucks, but people abuse the rep system, so the limit is there to at least partially prevent people from doing that.

Just be patient.

Essentials does this too, it can be configured via config.yml.

If it's so easy, let's see you make a full-blown PHP, HTML, and CSS-based website from scratch? Not so easy. Building websites is time consuming and very frustrating at times. You really do have no idea.
It's also very ironic, considering the fact that you decided to make a topic asking for a graphic designer? Well, that's very easy, just saying.
Get my point? Hopefully.
Back on topic. If you don't have anything good to say, don't post.

Your Curse account can't be used to login to Minecraft or any Mojang services, it can only be used to login to Curse sites and services.
If you get the "can't connect to minecraft.net" error upon trying to login, please see https://help.mojang.com/ to make sure that the session servers are online. If they're online, but you're still having this problem, please create a topic in the Unmodded Minecraft Client Support section or contact Mojang directly.

Must be a permissions issue then, will file a bug report.
Also, it would be very nice to be able to preview the edit history before rolling a post back. Some posts are edited a lot, and if we need to edit a few days back, we may need to roll it back multiple times just to get the right version of it.

1. Logging in anonymously is no longer a feature, and it would be awesome to have it back. An anonymous login leaves no trace that you are online, hides the last time you were active, and it will show you as offline in posts and your profile. This is very handy for mods who are on a leave of absence, or for those who do not wish to be PMd to death because of the return of the "users online" that has been absent for so long.Nevermind, it was an option in the preferences panel.2. Removed content in the ModCP. Shows the latest content that has been removed, and allows you to search for it. Extremely useful if you need to reference something that you deleted awhile ago.
3. The new look and feel is pretty bad IMO, others agree. The nav bar, as well as the search bar, title bars, logo, etc. should be back to what they look like on the actual website. The new look doesn't really reflect Minecraft, except for the colors. I know the latest web design phase is "metro", "flat", or "simple", but it really just does not work for a website like this. It looks amateurish. I would even say it looks similar to phpBB (aka Planet Minecraft), and that's not a good thing :|
4. Editing reasons no longer exist. Extremely useful if you would like to notify people that you updated the OP without them having to dig through tons of posts. Editing reasons can be filled out directly above the "save changes" button.
5. In your profile, your user group color should be shown on your name. Just looks nice and highlights the fact that someone is a staff member a bit more...

Ah, ok.
If there's any panel I'd recommend that is paid, it would have to be TCAdmin. There really are no free panels that are of good quality, even though Multicraft offers a free version of their panel (not worth it).

One of our moderators offers a completely free and open source server panel that, in my opinion, seems very attractive and promising. Most of the paid platforms are not the best (like Multicraft or McMyAdmin) anyways, so you're smart for looking for something free first.

Nope. Simply said, stuff like this can only be done with Bukkit.

Your file isn't even setup correctly. Reread that wiki page...
Under the "worlds" section, you need to have "permissions" too.
