public void updateTick(World world, int i, int j, int k, Random random) { int grown = mod_BushMod.cherryBushON.blockID; super.updateTick(world, i, j, k, random); if(world.getBlockId(i, j, k) == mod_BushMod.cherryBushOFF.blockID) { if(random.nextInt(1) == 0) { world.setBlockWithNotify(i, j, k, grown); } } }
First of all, this is code is defining the block that is going to be placed, which is 'grown' and the block is cherryBushOFF. I'll show you what I mean in one of the next steps.
int grown = mod_BushMod.cherryBushON.blockID;
I'm not sure what this is but you need it.
super.updateTick(world, i, j, k, random);
This code is saying if x, y, z co-ordinates equals mod_BushMod.cherryBushOFF.blockID it will continue and go to the next loop.
if(world.getBlockId(i, j, k) == mod_BushMod.cherryBushOFF.blockID)
This one is saying if random int out of 0 to 1 equals 0, it will place 'grown' at x, y, z co-ordinates.
if(random.nextInt(1) == 0) { world.setBlockWithNotify(i, j, k, grown); }
I hope this explains kinda of. You can change the co-ordinates to x, y + 1, z. This will place the block above.

1) Their amiable personalities. People subscribe to them because people like them. People like what they do and how they do it.
2) Their superficial qualities. It would be inaccurate to say there aren't people who subscribe to Sparklez for his looks or voice. Sometimes, you just have to look good and sound good to be good. Doesn't matter if you're the wittiest person on earth if you've got a socially-subjective "ugly mug" or "nails on blackboard voice".
3) Luck. You could have the most charming personality and Fabio-esque looks and the voice of Morgan Freeman and still fail to be popular. It's just a matter of being lucky.
People who say that persistence is a key are wrong. You can persist as much as you want but it's never a substitute for luck, unfortunately. Such is the luck of the draw for your cards in the poker game of life.

For instance, my current base, Ethotarian Base, is inspired by Etho and his design aesthetics. It's equal parts homaging Etho and forcing myself to get better at architectural design. I used to always stick to a few types blocks. Now I'm using lots of them (though smooth stone slabs, stone brick, and smooth sandstone seem to be winning the volume battle). You can search the Screenshots forum for 'ethotarian' if you're curious, though the pictures deprecate so quickly.
At one point, I was watching TwoAwesomeGamers and their 25th Skyblock episode had them building a tree house. I liked how they were doing it so I built one of my own on top of the roof of my base, albeit it was probably three times larger and significantly more "realistic" of a tree.
When inspiration doesn't happen, I tend to think in terms of wealth. I want my base to be grand and glorious. I want it to be something that stands out as a symbol of my in-game wealth. When people see it, they go "dude be rich!" So, I tend to add some lavish aesthetics that serve to pleasingly break up the monotony of walls and floors. For example, my stairwell from upper to lower floor has enormous paintings and the base in its entirety has lots of piston doorways and waterworks. Also, automatic outside lights thanks to self-written solar sensor blocks (Risugami's light sensors are terrible).

I would suggest burning testificates. They go for quite a while. ( )

1 bone = 144 EMC
1 iron ingot = 256 EMC
LCM of 2304 means 16 bones per 9 iron ingots.

Forthcoming Minecraft 1.3 gives XP for mining and smelting so that would provide a reliable and steady source of XP.
Also, spawn eggs won't work on Peaceful.

For others, it's a matter of convenience. It was nice to just gorge a whole porkchop in one second and automatically gain back almost half their health. The new healing mechanics just bother them and their play style.
Even others just hate having to worry about food, especially those who play adventure maps.
Shortly put, there's a variety of legitimate and non-legitimate reasons the hunger bar plays to a disadvantage.
As for other aspects, same deal but I don't have much versing in their reasonings.

Don't want generated structures? Turn them off. Don't want villager trading? Don't trade with villagers. Don't like enchantments? Don't craft an enchantment table.
Simply put, you cannot state that anything ruins a game if it is not something you are forced to use or take part in. Your complaints about the SMP merger are legitimate. It is a quixotic concept that I am curious to see how Jeb will approach. However, for something trivial and ineffective to your experience such as a texture change (c.f. user-custom texture packs) or adding redstone tripwires for adventure map lovers (c.f. Structures Off generic Survival), your arguments hold no weight.
I like car analogies so let's use a car analogy.
Your complaint is tantamount to going into a car dealership and bitching out the salesman for offering you a car that can come equipped with automatic windows as an optional accessory because you prefer manual windows and automatic windows "ruin the car". You aren't forced into using such an accessory and you are NOT the sole consumer. Configure the car to your standards and don't ***** because it is designed with other people's tastes in mind.

Also, if you want a laugh, I grossly over-prepared when I first tackled the Ender Dragon:

And his disinclination towards helping is wholly justified.

Swords+ 1.5pre2 will focus solely on the elemental gems. I'm going to be tweaking and rewriting their mechanics. Here's some ideas that have crossed my mind. Please give your honest opinion of them.
Feel free to suggest your own ideas too.
Also, I suppose I could say this too:
staves (staffs)tomes (so as not to encroach too much on Wizardcraft's domain) will be added to Swords+1
Also, in a future update (whenever the hell that comes out), there will be plenty of new ender mobs that spawn during full moons and full moons cause endermen to go berserk and become innately hostile.
It's a mixture of tactful improvements and artificial difficulty. Maybe that will up the ante a bit in your survival?
