    Quote from 4HeadTiger

Regional difficulty would need *some* tweaking, and the entire tool crafting system would need a total overhaul. I think that levelling and stats would be a little too... World of Warcraft-esque for minecraft, and it also wouldn't be necessary if there were more distinct tiers in the crafting aspect of the game. The real problem is that, once you get diamonds, you're 99% of the way to the highest level of progression. The remainder of the "progression" is grinding XP for enchantments.

Long story short; Minecraft lacks depth. There are countless different things, but most of them are very shallow. Animals... you find animals, done. Crops... you break a grass, done. Mining, you break a couple of rocks, done.

Cubic Chunks is right at the top of the list in terms of necessity and overall benefit, but I assure you that the list is very very long.

Anyway, I think we are getting very off topic...

Might I suggest a new topic for discussing said list?

Oh wow. PLease don't try to compare this to better than wolves. I actually prefer the wolves over that mess of a mod.

Well, I suppose that makes sense. I was thinking of it more like a bandaid anyways. Stop it from making funky cubes until you can figure out why its making funky cubes...
But, on my way home from work just a bit ago I was thinking about it and... Is it possible that the -1 biome id is a result of the fractal whatever that is used for terrain generation? I know back in Algebra like, 8 years ago?.. Some equations can have multiple solutions.. I don't know how you guys have it all coded out or anything, and honestly, I'm not really good with code, but I thought that the -1 biome id could possibly be caused by something like that... maybe?

I'm not really sure how that's having, but... wouldn't it try to generate as 1 of those biomes anyways?

-1 error is back, but now lighting works perfectly at every single Y value.

I.still say just set that -1 id to generate as the same nine as an adjacent cube

Actually, ID 255 is reserved for that. -1 should never happen, and it never does, except with Cubic Chunks code.
Bartosz made a temporary hacky fix, where biome ID == -1, return plains biome, and you get random single blocks of plains in desert biomes and stuff. Biome generation uses a fractal mapping system, and the -1 is like white noise.

Maybe set it so that the cube set to a -1 biome is determined by 1 of the cubes adjacent to it. So that it blends smoothly instead of having random chunks of plains...
    Just a thought :)

Server just got shutdown. Wondering how long this may be for, and if it's to fix the issues with money we've been experiencing.

[Edit, server seems to be online now, but every time I try to connect it says something about an Economy Patch]

[Edit-2: Is anyone else experiencing the same problems?]

    [server back up!]

This is one mouse that is 'bout to get up and rebel against some scientists. Time to get my brain-squishing on.
Okay, maybe not... but only because I need them to fix the thing. If they weren't a necessary part of my goals... /THEN/ I would rebel. Lucky humans...

Like this crazy person and their idea.

No. I didn't delete it. I haven't deleted anything yet. I was going to copy the save files and the texture packs, put the copies on my desktop, THEN delete everything in the minecraft folder. But, the save file vanished before I could do /anything/, so... I'm at a complete loss for what is going on.

I have had several occasions where, due to my computer sucking, my computer has frozen while playing single player mode. When this happens, I have to forcibly restart my computer. I get it back up, and get back on Minecraft, and I go to single player mode to load the world, and the world is no longer in the list. I check the save files, and it has the folder for that save still in the "Saves" folder, but I cannot access the world in the world selection menu.

Is there any way to get the world back into the selection menu?
