Ok so it worked but after quitting, the mac doesnt realize I have java, and it thinks minecraft needs java 6! I have another java program called eclipse, for java developing, and it works just fine! Anyone know how to fix this?Maybe a way to make the entire launcher use a specific java version?
So I found out I was putting the wrong path to the java executable whenever I tried to change the java path. But thanks for the help, your help led me to that solution.
Hello, I have a MacBook Air, I have updated Java to Java 8, and I've noticed when minecraft runs, where it says:
[14:02:30 INFO]: Refreshing local version list...
[14:02:30 INFO]: Minecraft Launcher 1.3.11 (through bootstrap 5) started on osx...
[14:02:30 INFO]: Current time is Mar 29, 2014 2:02:30 PM
[14:02:30 INFO]: System.getProperty('os.name') == 'Mac OS X'
[14:02:30 INFO]: System.getProperty('os.version') == '10.9.2'
[14:02:30 INFO]: System.getProperty('os.arch') == 'x86_64'
As you can see, it is using Java 7 update 65. I have Java 8 jre and jdk 8, and whenever I go to the profiles and go to advanced java settings, and I put the path of the java 8 executable, it fails to run minecraft. I want to know how to make minecraft recognize updated java. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
All entity tags for spawners, apart from the ID of the entity, will go within the "SpawnData" tag (or "SpawnPotentials" if you have multiple entities):
So, if anyone watched sethbling's latest snapshot video, you see at one point that he made a custom rainbow sheep spawner. I've tried many times last night to do it, and couldnt figure out. I've tried:
(any '*' is a coordinate)
Nothing seems to work! Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong and how sethbling made a spawner that would spawn sheep with a custom name. (or really, any mob, using setblock)
Ok, so the title is pretty straight-forward. How did Sethbling make that squid farm a few months ago (video below)? What I mean is that whole water trick thingy that filled up the rest of the space in a few seconds. I wanna try it. Thanks!
Hello guys, this topic should be straightforward. I made a spawn schematic for any mappers out there who cant find a spawn schematic like sethbling's or are too lazy to make one. Here it is!
http://tinyurl.com/mzt4k8f<-- That's a mediafire link, I just shortened it with tinyurl. To use the schematic, place it into your MCEdit-shematics folder.
Lemme know if there's any issues and I'll try to fix it, and if you need help with importing the schematic. Oh by the way, the command blocks under the pad have some text in them, having the first section of commands Sethbling used. You can change them if you'd like.
Hello, guys, SplashycreepsMC here, with a new minigame map! It's a PvP (Player vs player) map, featuring teams, and classes!Teams:
Classes:
Archer: Dark grey leather armor, enchanted stone sword, and 25 budder apples.
Soldier: White leather armor, enchanted stone sword, and 20 budder apples.
Mad Scientist: White leather armor, enchanted budder sword, 45 Splash potions of Healing, 8 Splash Potions of Poison, and 28 Potions of Regeneration. (Lemme know if thats too over-powered )
Rules: The first team to get 30 points wins. It's basically Team Deathmatch. Note that for the buttons to work, make sure you're the one closest to the button. Another note: If you spawn on the roof, dont jump off, move around until you find a sign and a button.This map can be used in your servers, if you at least let me know here. NO HACKS/MODS OF ANY KIND!!Leave any questions, comments, and comments on how I should improve below!
Here will show some changes I do, bugs fixed, etc. :
(12/4/13) [First update to map; fixes LOTS of issues :D] I fixed the score system, and friendly fire on all teams set to false. I changed the color of the Mad Scientist armor to blue. Since the score to win is 30 points, I doubled the amount of all health items given (budder apples and regeneration potions). I changed the signs a bit to say different info (such as to consider having players line up to pick a class/team). I put a fence around the roof to avoid having people go outside the spawn building. I changed the gamemode from survival to adventure; a suggestion by some friends to avoid griefing. and LASTLY, I put fences next to the class buttons and team buttons to further prevent the command blocks affecting the wrong users.To show you the fences, here:
Map download: http://tinyurl.com/mbq8zal(A mediafire link)I don't know any issues at this time, now that I've tried fixing the many issues in the initial map release, but please let me know of any issues! HAVE FUN and let me know what you think of the map!
Sorry for not replying. No, it doesnt work anyway. I added the forge files to a copy of 1.6.4 and renamed the things and did what I needed to do with the .json file. Minecraft is able to load up, it doesn't have forge's menu, with the Mods button, the "3 Mods loaded" on bottom left, etc. Idk what's wrong. From the crash report, it looks like it doesnt find a file (noClassDefFound)Ok so I tested out something, and it turns out that its just the mod messing it up. But it can't get Animalbikes mod either. Maybe its a forge bug?NEVERMIND! I think I just needed forge to work without mods first. I put the mod after having forge work, and it works now!
Ok, so as you can tell by the title, I'm having issues using forge. I keep getting this crash report and dont know how to solve it:

I followed that tutorial, and got the compiler and library, but upon starting up forge, I get the same crash. Any ideas?
