posted a message on Need Motherboard Help
Ok what im about so say might sound really dumb but trust me, it is. Awhile ago i part some parts to upgrade and when i got everything in and was ready to screw the GPU into the case so it doesnt come loose or anything i had a tough time getting the screw to stay in place so after awhile i just gave up or stood the case upright.

    WARNING NSFMR

After i stood the case upwards the weight of the GPU caused the PCIE port to rip off and this shocked the **** out of me. I took the mobo back to where i bought it (memory express) and they said that they couldnt do anything about it and this hurt me alot the mobo cost me about $80. Im 16 no job i dont get allowance or anything and i have just $40 left from everything i bought so i wont be getting another for a long time. So ive decided to use the onboard graphics (A8 5600K) I spent some time to bend all the remaining PCIE pins off to prevent it from shorting. But heres another problem the Motherboard wont power but my case LEDs do power up which is weird so its not completely dead yet so it might still have a chance Does anyone know what i could do to give it some life? Heres a pic of the PCIE with no pins (not my pic but very similar to what mine looks like) http://puu.sh/eh5of/73a7b11358.jpg

My mobo is a MSI A58M-E33 Any suggestion on what to try?

    Things tried so far

I took out the CMOS battery powered the PSU on and the fans started for half a second and the case LEDs stayed on but when i put it back in and power it the fans dont move but the LEDs power on

Skype has disgusting background noise and Teamspeak (and probably other programs) can have a voice detection activation.

Actually skype doesnt have any background noise
When i use steam or teamspeak people can hear there voice through my speakers
and on skype they can hear their voices

I use skype for video sharing and things like that but if im doing a gaming party i choose teamspeak because most of you should know that Skype tends to use a hella lot of CPU when alot of people are in the call

Might just be me though since i have a crappy CPU

It would be easier for everyone involved if you just didn't post bad builds and actually spent some time making them good. The case and power supply are basically as low as you can go, and the 4690k is better than the 3570k in everything but raw clock speed. The unlocked CPU is useless either way since you have a locked board in there, might as well skip the cooler, and getting a faster, more reliable hard drive would be very much worth the few extra dollars.

If OP doesnt like the case he can simply change it not hard at all unless your stupid
Whats wrong with a 600W for $40? oh thats right i forgot to make it a $200 1600W 80+ platinum
I didnt notice it was a locked board to dont get all pissy about it
And you do realize pretty much ALL HDD's are 5400RPM and 7200RPM so yeah
Also the reviews and ratings dont lie

By cramming everything else down to bare minimum, you even have a 3570k there instead of a 4690k. Use of common sense is allowed, you know.

Also not being turning into a total **** when someone makes a tiny mistake is allowed
Also can you waste your time explaining how its "crammed" and "bare minimum" and what exactly is wrong with a goddamn 3570K?
The 4690k is only the slightest oh so slightest bit better not by much at all
