Plenty of CTM... and for some reason mcpatcher isnt connecting the textures.
-facepalm-
Are you sure you have patched with the very latest version of MCPatcher? If you need more help, be sure to ask on the official support forum: http://bdcraft.net/community

UPDATE: I had a thought. Would it be possible to maintain a "Classic" version for 1.6.x as well as the "Enhanced" version that you have started working on? That way, you cover all the bases. Loyal fans who are afraid or change, as well as the more progressive folks who embrace change. Thoughts on that? I hope it would not be too much to ask.
If you would like to use old textures or other laternative textures, you can look in the ZIP file of the version of PureBDcraft you have and move the textures you want back from the folder "items_alt1" to "items" folder (for items), or "blocks_alt1", "blocks_alt_static" to "blocks" folder (for blocks) or rename "ascii_alt1.png" to "ascii.png" in "font" folder to use previous font.
I have some MONSTER PC's and I have never been able to get 512x to work reliably at all. Most I can get is 256x, and that's only with MCPatcher. With Optifine, it lags from time to time.
Good luck on the 512x. I hope you are able to get it working for you, if that is truly what you wish.
To run 512x, you must allocate 8GB of RAM to JAVA and Minecraft and it's recommened to use Optifine or MCPatcher. You also need a very good graphic card with enough dedicated RAM.
New version of PureBDcraft is available for Minecraft 1.6.2! In all resolutions!
Lots of new things in this update, such as:
- Armors for Horses (iron, gold and diamond)
- Connected textures for Hardened Clay blocks (4096 textures!)
- New funny Zombie randomobs
- New Iron Golem randomobs (steam themed)
- New Diamond item
- New Emerald item
- New Coal item
- Added New sounds for the Villagers *Utinni*
- And more to read in the changelog: http://bdcraft.net/c...log-purebdcraft
So I don't know if this is a bug or you have just simply not textured it yet but I wanted to let you know that the Spider Eyes on the Spider model are the default ones.
Yes, I know, it's a bug from PureBDcraft and Minecraft. The "spider_eyes.png" is misplaced in the resources of Minecraft... So it won't load correctly. You can fix this by put the spider_eyes.png out of its folder "spider" in the PureBDcraft ZIP file.
I'm trying to select the 128x resource pack for 1.6.2, but it isn't selecting the resource pack for some reason. Is this a client-side issue or are other people having the same problem?
I don't have this issue with Minecraft unpatched. It's probably a client issue caused by Optifine or MCPatcher?
Is this Mod allows texturepacks (resourcepacks) to set a default TTF font file to use ingame when the texturepack is used?
Will you partner with MCPatcher and/or Optifine to automatically integrate your improvements in those tools?
Looks amazing! The only thing is when I used Magic Launcher to try and install it, it wouldn't work. The game would start, showing the special PureBDCraft version of the Mojang advertisement, for about 1 second then crash. I'm wondering if I don't have the right version of MC Patcher? The current MC Patcher version I have is 4.1.0 for Minecraft 1.6. I tried it several time with checking and unchecking different boxes, even trying to patch Minecraft with simply the Texture Pack box checked and it still didn't work. They don't have the MC 16 version of Optifine out yet so I'm hoping it'll work when that comes out.
But until then, is there something I'm doing wrong? On the download page, it did say it was a resource pack, so I put it in my resource pack folder. Maybe it needs to go into my texture pack folder afterall? Here's a link to a screenshot of what my MC Patcher looks like in case that helps.
I hope you can help me out because I had PureBdCraft for MC 1.5 and absolutely LOVED it. <3 Not sure how much longer I can stand without it. Haha xD
Why the pack is listed in MCPatcher?
You just need to copy the ZIP file in your "resourcepacks" folder in your ".minecraft" folder and then patch the game with MCPatcher (optionally) with simple launch and click on the "Patch" button... That's all.

The model's what bugs me more than anything. The default textures have had poor and inconsistent designs for ages. This is part of the reason I started my texture pack in the first place. The whole "8-bit design" label also bugged the hell out of me since I first started playing the game. There is absolutely nothing 8-bit looking about the art style of this game. Typically, 8-bit art should have a very limited color palette for each tile (around 4 colors per). [...]
I totally agree with Misa.
I'm currently working on the horses textures for PureBDcraft and I'm kind of disappointed when I see that the final result still looks like a bit as defaut because of the 3D details (when a simple 3D modeling with a 2D texture would have been able to do the job a lot better)... A lot of the Horse's parts are just 1 pixel wide... For example, look at the saddle: Why the Hell the saddle of the horses are so detailed when the saddle of the pigs is so simple?
I don't complain about hardness of working on complex models, but I don't quite understand why there is this inconsistency of design between old models and new models. For example, currently Minecraft has a very basic model for helm: it's just a cube which can become anything you want thanks to 6 textures with transparency. What would be the helm if it was composed by a lot more 3D details?
A part of the charm of Minecraft is to have a simple 3D environnement composed by cubes for ground, items, characters and mobs. Players will have the opportunity to easily customize this simple world with texturepacks which only contains textures that will totally change how the whole Minecraft world looks like... The whole shape of the horse - even with a HD texture - will remain as pixelated as before because it is way too detailed...
[...]
[...]The art in this is just random, colorful, pixellated art with a disgusting overuse of a noise filter. Fortunately all of it can be avoided/corrected with texture packs--the inconsistent model designs on the other hand cannot.[...]
It will maybe be possible with the future "API". But this will not be anymore a 2D artist work.
Hey guys. I've been having a lot of problems with some of the texture packs in 1.5.1, including Sphax.
I've patched a fresh version of MCPatcher, thinking there was a problem with Optifine (i had that installed before), but nothing happened, everything looks the same.
everything looks normal at the starting screen, but then as soon as i start the game this happens:
please someone help, i'm so sick of using the default texture pack
This kind of problems is generally due to not enough memory allocated to Java. Knowing you are on MacOS, I don't know how to allocate more memory to Java though... Also, be sure to install Optifine which solve a lot of performance problems (bugs) of Minecraft 1.5.x
Still happening in MC 1.5.1, and obviously using the latest version of this texturepack for MC 1.5.x.
No mods, 100% vanilla except for MCPatcher 3.0.3, and LWJGL 2.8.5.
I know this issue and it seems that I can't do anything to fix this... It seems to be a Minecraft SMP bug. If someone know a work around I can put into PureBDcraft, let me know by PM please.
I'll be honest... I was not a big fan of PureBDCraft but with this texture pack you've taken everything I disliked about PureBDCraft and improved them to fit my style, this is now my favorite texture pack. I only have one complaint, I've been mistaking the iron ore for gold ore I would suggest making the iron ore a bit duller yellow or make it look more rust-like.
I'll probably changed the ores a bit in the future of GrungeBDcraft.
Some closeup blocks are now viewable on the the main post (inside the spoiler). It also allows you to compare between GrungeBDcraft and PureBDcraft. This small preview is not as detailed as GrungeBDcraft is in 256x resolution or 512x.

It's just too much for any computer. Try 128x or 64x if you use Tekkit or any other Mods-pack like FTB.

GrungeBDcraft is a bit on standby currently to let me update PureBDcraft but I'll work on items for GrungeBDcraft then.

This is intended to let you see better the difference between default and PureBDcraft textures...

Of course you can. Just remember to mention the texturepack name (GrungeBDcraft) and where to download it (bdcraft.net) in your video description.
Basically, yes and it's the goal: adding realistic details where PureBDcraft just have flatten/cartoony colors.
1
I've not done any of them currently and I'll work on Items firstly.
But I'll try to make Mobs of GrungeBDcraft as scary as I could
Be sure to use Optifine.
64x version is a bit too small to show all the details of GrungeBDcraft. But I'll maybe make it if it's a popular demand.
Thanks. I also play with PureBDcraft but I like a lot this dark feeling of GrungeBDcraft.

But GrungeBDcraft is not a cartoon texturepack... but a semirealistic pack...
