Difficulty Discussion:
Aima Caves was a on the easier side of maps, The map offers new CTM players a challenge but a nice one. Aima Caves can get really difficult if players stand around and allow mobs to spawn and over populating the area but it will teach you to be careful. Aima Caves teaches players to watch around them and be careful of their surroundings. I would say this map was targeted at new CTM players for a more difficult play through as veteran's would find this map quite simple. There are some harder areas but don't appear in till the Purple,Red,Green, and Black areas which is expected any ways. The start of the map is incredibly simple with the certain items Vitto provides. Overall I still think this map is aimed for less experienced CTM players but veterans would still have a enjoyable play through.
Overall Enjoyment Discussion:
Aima Caves was my first completed CTM map I found it quite enjoyable. One thing that really motivated me (other then my commitment and Lets Play) was how much I enjoyed playing it. Gathering materials and just being in the map was fun. Then came areas to take on which I loved and enjoyed figuring out how I'm going to take them on. This map made me really care about the project because of how much I loved playing it and its become to this day my favourite map to look back on. There are unique areas like the blue wool, and lime wool that contain their own twist on how to obtain the wool. I really enjoyed both of these twits and would like to see them make a re-appearance In Vitto's next map. Along with gameplay aspects, the map just had this story that was controlled by the player, at least it felt like that. When going through the caves it felt like the player's imagination would make a storyline from point to point and make the map more atmospheric. Vitto knows how to make nice looking (not in your face beauty which I liked) areas that always have a theme to go along with it. He also has placed secrets like the Vitiation set that are hidden throughout the map (won't say where due to unnecessary spoilers) but It was fun finding and exploring the areas to find them if your into that stuff (It's worth it)
What I Would of Changed:
The white wool, In the spawn/start of the map the player is found in a small but deep hole. Behind them is a Fleecy box elevated and placed inside the walls of the cave. In my opinion even know Vitto was trying to introduce new players to the box it should of been in a dungeon/separate area with it's own mobs guarding it. (The wool should have its own dedicated area) or at least a cave extra space where mobs can actually guard the fleecy box and pose a challenge.
The Monument area. The monument area is ok looking but feels open and has a nice view and makes the player hope and want to explore the whole region. However the region in mostly empty with little to few structure and even practical uses. As there are the occasional secrets (They were a nice touch) the vast area felt empty and redundant. I would of liked to see more functionality around the monument, yeah there was a farm but that was it. I would of liked maybe a pre made base or some other details as when leaving from my base at Intersection 02 I felt it was at some points a redundant travel. (Even know its not that far)
The short cut between the spiral tower and blastfire cavern. The cave is guarded by super charged creepers and regular creepers. There are tons of spawners in this short cut and as this is optional and doesn't serve the best of short cuts it still isn't worth the risk. Yes the cave sin lined with iron and Iron blocks but iron can be obtained from actually beating the blastfire cavern and you then have access to a abundance of Iron. Maybe by Vitto making this short cut more worth the risk by adding some other loot items/resources.
