    How about if you fall down 4+blocks, and there is a block going lower in the direction you were going, you roll down until you can't go lower. If you hit someone, you deal 3+(0.5 times the number of steps you fell down). That would be funny.
    However, you would have to get up afterwards, so it would be hard.

    Perhaps you can jump, but after the jump, you are unable to move for a second. <-This idea was ninja'd. Anyways, here's an idea for armour.

    Tier 1 Light: Wool
    Tier 2 Light: Wood
    Tier 3 Light: Leather
    Tier 4 Light: Studded Leather (made by 4 leather in a diamond shape, with one iron ingot in the middle. provides 4 pieces)
    Tier 5 Light: Forest-Wanderer Wooden Armour (made of 2 trunk, 1 leather, and 1 diamond, in a square formation. Only makes 1 piece of Forest-Wanderer Wood)

    Tier 1 Heavy: Stone
    Tier 2 Heavy: Iron
    Tier 3 Heavy: Heavy Iron (Made from Iron Blocks, not ingots)
    Tier 4 Heavy: Diamond
    Tier 5 Heavy: Obsidian

    Then, there would need to be weaponry (with ideas of how they will be crafted):
    Tiers: T1: Wood T2: Stone T3: Iron T4: Diamond T5: Obsidian

    :opblock: = material you want to use
    :wood: = stick
    [iron] = string
    :stair: = chain
    :sand: =air

    1-Handed Weapons (can use a shield, made by attaching a shield (materials for armour in a diamond shape) to a new slot that would needed to be added)

    If you know where your saves are, go to the .minecraft folder, and go to bin.
    You will find minecraft.jar there, and install the pack into that one.

    Whispering can only be heard within 3 blocks.
    Talking can be heard within 64 blocks.
    Shouting can be heard within 172 blocks.
    If you want to hear it from further away, you need some way to amplify it...

    Perhaps there should just be 6 basic Elemental Runes, which, when combined, create more advanced Runes, and so on and so forth.

    The Elements are as follows:
    Fire
    Water
    Earth
    Air
    Darkness
    Light

    Examples:

    Fire Rune + Air Rune = Aura of Flame Rune: A small Tornado of flame is circling around, setting anything within 1 block of you on fire.

    Fire Rune + Water Rune = Steam Rune: Let's you emit a small burst of steam where you want, preventing things from seeing through the area for 5 seconds.

    Air Rune + Earth Rune = Bladestorm Rune: When attached to a bow, all arrows come out with multiple tips, sending metal everywhere after impact.

    Darkness Rune + Earth Rune = Chaotic Skin-Metal: When made into armour (requires the armour and the rune to be combined), causes the user to take only 75% of normal damage. However, monsters are highly attractted to the dark energies, and it emits an aura of darkness.

    Of course, all runes have a short amount of uses.

    This is a relatively simple suggestion, but I think that if you couldn't 'hear' a player at longer distances, it would be a lot better for raids and the like. For example, Jimbob McKebab is about 128 blocks away from me. Should I really be able to hear him?
    What if my pals want to find him, kill him, and pillage his house?
    It would be a disaster if he could hear us!

    Boss Creature...
    Necromancer - Only found in caves.
    You know you are near a Necromancer when you see some ruins underground, and large lava pools like a moat.
    They only have 50 hit points, however, they have the ability to summon lots of zombies and skeletons to fight you, and keep you busy. They also shoot nasty spells that deal 4 (2 hearts) damage per hit, at a relatively slow rate. Being hit by them knocks you back, and since you are surrounded by lava, this could be lethal. They only come once you enter the special room in the ruins, and teleport there, so no trap setting for you!
    The Necromancer remains on a slightly raised platform that is able to be reached at all times.
