    Minecraft ign: xXSpeedeRXx

    Age: 16

Country of residence: Australia (East Coast)

    Previous roleplaying experiences:
Towncraft server, man was it fun. In that roleplay server I had a town called Sturgestifer, so people kept spamming the chat for the name of the warp xD

If you had a previous roleplaying server, why did you leave it:
Well, till the server owner went AWOL for 7 months. And the server went whitelisted to reduce costs (we limited player limit to 50) and it shut down soon after cause the owner got bored. This was at MC Beta 1.6 I believe.

    Define OOC and IC:
    OOC- Out of Character

IC- In Character or Identification Card?

What is powergaming and metagaming, give an example(different from in the rules) of both:
Powergaming: Able to break iron doors to get in? or maybe just able to craft or smelt powerful equipment even though you're a lowly fighter
Metagaming: Predicting raids through forum and preparing traps.

Did you read all of the rules? What number was skipped: Rule number 4. (I was thinking if you replaced this question like "Whats the secret phrase in the rules" so that you will be sure people will read it)

    Characters name: Gillian
    Characters age: 54

Characters background story; this should describe life on the boat or life in Arken. Maybe your boat landed on another continent first before sailing to Medowen:

It was already too late when we finally reached the shores. The rough seas and heavy storm has only proven to further deteriorate our ship's morale. During the 4th month of the Sun, Captain Artrion had to go to the lower deck to fix a leakage. He was never seen again.
After that incident, our crew split apart. There were arguments for leadership, power, direction. The desperate crew mates had then have to split apart, and we, the minority of the faction, had to use the lifeboat. The last view of Golden Angola as she drifted towards the horizon was engraved to my memory. Our memory.
There were 6 people on the lifeboat, we all had escaped together during the eruption and boarded the ship. Although there were almost no conflicts of ideas due to groupthink, there were innumerable problems that we had to face, especially during the storms. I do not know what other people tell you about their journeys to Medowen, but I don't think they had their situation as rough as ours. Every storm had damaged our ship, and without the resources, we had to result in using even our clothes as patches. The cold night wind were hard on us all. Corling (Hyporthermia) had affected us all. I tried to save everyone, but it was inevitable.
At first I tried to keep everyone topped off, treating the most severe cases as efficiently as I could. Our herb inventory had been devoured by the seventh month of the Seas. Jarstiv was the first crewmate I lost. It was at midnight, when we could see a huge storm up ahead, on the horizon, when he had enough. The melancholic glint on his eyes right before the slit will be the most heart aching thing I will ever remember, and probably bring to my grave.
Our morale plummeted to the ground on the next morning. The storm managed to change course, and that was what struck us the most. The silent corpse of Jarstiv was burned, as our offerings to Cryto for protecting us. The next month, Stevius, our cook, fell asleep while thinking of his life on the ship, where he lost his love to the seas. He never woke up again.
This condition, which I coined as Giupolif, is when you lose your hope. Your humanity. And blow out the small spark of hope in your heart. All three of them, Jarstiv, Histov and Grimlion had chose this fate. To endure no more suffering. To give up on life.
My best friend, Fizef, had always been a cheerful fellow. We both enroled to Xenthas Academy upon hearing the rumor of a rebellion. We were both always competing, who will invent the next fire based spell, well renowned as the two Rival Brothers, those nostalgic times. During the mutiny of the Golden Angola, Fizef woke me up to sneak me onto the lifeboat as he had misheard the blacksmith talking about plans to murder the people against turning back. We carried all we had, just a book and some herbs, and quickly dropped the boat into the seas. But as, one by one, our crewmates passed on to the spirit world, he never lost hope. He always had that smile on his face, like a mischievous boy, even when I told him that we ran our of herbs to treat his Corling. Even when he rested his head on my lap, even as I casted the last of my life force to him, he pushed my right hand down to my chest, and even as he muttered the two words before he lost his pulse, he had that grin.
I would never forget that moment, every day and every night, those words echo in my mind. I could have saved him.
    Could have.

What class best fits your character?, for classes look at spoiler in the bottom of thread:
    Mage. Old beardy mage.

    Characters personality and morals?

In my lore I portrayed Gillian as a guy who would even give up his life for a friend, and tended to the sick. He was also a truthful guy, and would not hide anything from anyone, (as he told his friend when the herbs ran out, instead of telling a white lie) and also he carries the burden of his crew mates' deaths, so he would often distance himself from the people in Medowen. Gillian has already seen the face of death, and also the lost lives of his crew. He no longer thrive to go to the bar, or participate in the next big cave hunt. Instead, he likes to sit in the very top of Standford academy tower and write about his life. His failures. He is a rather quiet old man, losing his youth the day the lifeboat touched the shores.

Add a small description of what your character looks like or include a picture of your skin: Well I would probably be using a mage looking character (typical) with blue robe, grey hair and beard.

    Out Of Character Information:
    IGN: KazeJasonPhantom
    Position: Beta Tester
Past Work or Proof of Skill (Optional): I know everything about SAO and also know that SAO season 2, gun gale online should be coming out since the novel is aready released in Japan and also i have been a beta tester in the official Dragon Nest Sea and i maxed the level on there in a week.

(OPTIONAL for Staff) In Character Information:
Name (Japanese is Optional): RL Jason IGN Kaze (means wind in japanese)
Traits (Not to OP): 1handed sword (Since no dual blade can be placed)
Backstory (Can be Either Virtual Reality(VR) or Reality):

Living in US, New York where his mom moved into for her job and clearly Jason was also forced to go with his mom and force to adapt his life in a different location..

Jason was a good for nothing 16years old teen who is good in neither athlete or studies. He lived in a environment in a single family home. Getting bullied and made fun of in school, he became unsociable not making any friends nor did he talked to relatives near his age. Trapping himself in the room with 4 walls surrounding him.

Since he was always bullied at a young age, he lived his life in a room with only his computer. He doesn't have friends or made any, all his life his only companion was his computer. Gaming all day long with no one to control him, not being able to achieve anything in the real world he strived to aim the highest of all. Be it warcraft, dragon nest or any RPG MMO games he strived to be the strongest of all and prove that he is not totally worthless at all. Since he is neither good in athlete or studies, and the only talent he thought of himself to have is only playing game.

One day he received a news from an online email stating "An Online Multiplayer Virtual Reality Game, Sword Art Online has been beta testing has been released" he went and signed up for the beta testing, after a few days and the nerve gear and along with the SAO beta game download code was mailed to his home and he started playing it.

Noticing that all the games that he had played were not even close to compare with it, he started getting addicted to the game ignoring his life and lived in the virtual reality world where he can truly use his ability..

Days or weeks have passed.. Jason himself were not even sure of how many days has it been since he have started SAO on beta, seems like his virtual life and his reality life have been sort of mixed up... Soon, he doesn't know how to differentiate between the real and the virtual world, the real world feels like its fake, virtual world seems real...

All he does is killing monsters daily.. All he hears are screams from the monsters and the celebration music for his leveling..

Soon after, beta was closed and with a week followed by, SAO official server were released. That feeling when he entered, felt so refreshing... Like the world is telling him that he belongs here.. Soon after, he was warped and moved to the central place where kayaba akihiko announced that all the players are trapped in the game, unable to logout since there are no logout buttons.. Jason feels strongly that he can achieve something here and prove that he is not that worthless after all... And then the story begins..

    Denied, on the basis of
    1) Not one, but countless amounts of grammatical error throughout your back story
    2) Not enough information in back story to prove knowledge of S.A.O
    3) Too little information on character description

Work on these errors and I hope to see you soon! (Bargain with Tyler, not me)

Or you can amuse me mortal! If you can come up with an amusing or clever way to apply duel wielding you may get it. See the bersking Viking-like Swedish man from a few pages back.

Muahahahaahaa you are underestimating me. I (We) can just manually give the players dual wield by going through their stats and selecting the right members. Just do it manually.

Example: Lets select the guy with the lowest deaths and mosts raids

Goes through factions(or whatever clan plugin) stats

    Oh, Derp has 2 deaths and 150 raids! That's a 1:75 ratio

    Oh, Ahoe has 1500 deaths and 15000 raids! That's a 1:10 ratio

Lets give Derp the dual wield function without telling him.

    Finished.

Because to be honest I think the 10-hp rule is going to be gay. Imagine a boss using a multi target attack, making the whole party <10 hp and giving all of the 10 members in the party dual wield. Seems legit.

    Out Of Character Information:
    IGN: Kirimato
Position: Beta-Tester, Role Play Assistant, and or Builder (Manual Labour {seldom creative}, able to work late nights.)

(OPTIONAL for Staff) In Character Information:

Name: IRL: Hayate Yoshirou, In SAO: Blood Wind

Personality and Skill Traits (Not to OP):
Friendly and enthusiastic personality, but changes to a Anti-Social Soloist. Able to adapt and survive in any terrain and/or situation. Has a friendly persona to fool people. Reason for his personality is explained in the back-story.
Preferred weapon is a Long-Sword, but able to activate a unique skill that lets him use an advanced yet different version of the Nitoryu. This Unique Skill allows him use two blades (same as Kirito's Dual Blades), but he is able to attach iron cables to the end of the hilt of both blades (Cables are stored around the wrists). This means that Hayate can either do close-range or mid-range combat while efficiently switching between battle styles.

Back-story (Can be Either Virtual Reality(VR) or Reality): Warning for back-story; It is pretty long. It has both Reality and VR. (Sorry!)

Hayate was a happy and energetic 3rd year senpai at Haika High school in Kyoto Prefecture. Everything was perfect, he had good friends, good grades, the perfect girlfriend (Minari Hanako) and was known throughout the school as the Blade Master; a nickname given to him by his friends because he made the nationals in kendo. This was all short-lived, in the first semester of the new school year, his parents had a sudden divorce and he was given a choice to move to Tokyo with his father or stay with his mother in Kyoto. He declined at first in going with his father, but things went from bad to worse. He also found out that his girlfriend was cheating on him with the Captain of the Kendo team; and then he was kick off the kendo team shortly after. His friends also started to ignore him because they were fed lies from Minari. She accused him of cheating on her with a girl from their rival school; Kazehana Gakuen. He then became isolated from his fellow students that used to chat with him often, now they just look the other way whenever he walks by. This loneliness eventually ate him alive and so he agreed to move with his father to Tokyo.

Days go by as he slowly adjusts to the life in Tokyo. He was still depressed over what happened within the past month. He still went to school but his grades dropped to just average. He didn't participate in any clubs or activities, so he became part of the Go-home club. He spent most of his time locked up in his room browsing the internet while playing the occasional Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game; in this case MMORPG. While browsing the net he accidentally stumbles across the Argus Company Website; which then finds out about the Nerve Gear. He also finds an external link to an application to the closed beta-test of Sword Art Online, the first ever Virtual Reality MMORPG. For the longest time he has ever played MMORPG's, Hayate has always wanted to experience the game world through all five senses. Although his chances were slim to none, he applied anyways.

A week later, a fairly large package arrived in the mail. In the package it contained the Nerve Gear, and a disc copy of the beta to Sword Art Online. Hayate was shocked in awe as he read the congratulatory letter from Argus congratulating him on his acceptance into the Beta Test. He bolted up into his room and linked up the Nerve Gear and jumped right into the game. As he slowly played through the game, he realizes that this game has everything he ever wished for inside a game; Beautiful scenery, non-idiotic AI that were in most MMORPGs, even the battle system was perfect. Sure it was still a bit buggy, but it was perfect in every other aspect. He quickly made friends within the game and then founded the guild; Moonlight Dusk. In relevance to the time they played. His guild was only comprised of 6 close members, including himself. They were highly regarded as one of the top 10 clearing guilds.

A month eventually rolled by while he played SAO while still going to school. He was aware that the Beta-test ended in September of that year. As he arrived home, a quick email popped up into his phone, inquiring about if he wanted to pre-order the finalized version of the game. With his personal experience in the Beta-test, who wouldn't want to pre-order SAO. He went through the process as quickly as he can. When he finished it, he was relieved that he had the chance to play the finalized version of it. As he logged into the game, he brought up the discussion with the other guild members about who is going to get the finalized version of SAO. Sadly only 2 out of 5 other members pre-ordered it. The other 3 were married and had to work for their families. This disheartened Hayate for a few days but understood what had to be done in reality.

When the closed Beta ended and the finalized version of SAO released, Hayate quickly looked up his former guild mates; Yukari and Prince and they met up at the beginner fields. Then the whole fiasco happened. They became prisoners of the game, where death in-game means death in reality. All three of them made a blood oath to each other to stick by each other through thick and thin, no matter the cost. They then later re-founded the Moonlight Dusk in accordance to the blood oath. The Moonlight Dusk were always at the front lines, but were always under constant criticism by other guilds because of the number of members in the guild; which still stayed at 3. Yet they are able to move more swiftly and more coordinated than most of the guilds in the front lines. Many players tried to apply to the Moonlight Dusk but were always rejected by Blood Wind (Hayate's In-Game-Name). The only requirement was to survive a duel with Blood Wind. Most people were KO'd within the first 15 seconds of the duel. Only Yukari and Prince knew that he wasn't trying giving his all. As time went by, less and less applications were sent in.

As time goes by, the front lines has cleared floor 59. Hayate bought a mysterious tip from Argo the Rat which detailed a unique skill that was hidden on the 57 floor. Hayate decided that the guild will be on break from the front lines for a week. Hayate then traversed the whole 57th floor, looking at every nook and cranny for a single clue. He then notices a strange iron wire laying on the forest floor. He thought this was irregular, indeed it was. It was the trigger item for the unique weapon skill; Iron wires. He had already earned Nitoryu through hard work grinding mobs that are levels higher than himself. This quest wasn't very difficult to complete compared to his level of 84. The moment he turned in the finished quest, he finds 2 windows instead of 1 on quest completion. One of course was the iron wires skill but the other one he had no idea what it was. He analyzed it but couldn't make it out. The iron wires skill had a description on what its used for, but the new skill had only a title. The skill was called "Flying Glory" but it was written in English, so he can only read it. Eventually gave up on finding out what it was till later.

The Moonlight Dusk never had a base on a certain floor, they always moved floors so that they can keep confidentiality from other guilds. They mostly rented inn's on the latest floor that was unlocked throughout the raids. The latest raid was on floor 60 which unlocked the city Salemburg. Preparations for the raid of the 61st floor dungeon were already underway. Hayate decided to take another break from front lines to figure out what the Flying Glory skill did. Prince and Yukari wanted to stay on the front lines, so Hayate let them. It was decided that Moonlight Dusk and Guardians of the Round were having a joint raid group for the 61st floor as a trust raid. This was because both guilds were not on good terms in-terms of teamwork.

The battle on the 61st floor ended horribly, all but few players were wiped out from the battle; including both Yukari and Prince. Hayate had to find out the hard way. He was presented with both Yukari's and Prince's Blades; both shattered into 3 pieces. Hayate knew that this was foul play. Bosses did not have the ability to shatter weapons without destroying the whole weapon. Only Players with the weapon crush skill were able to reduce durability without destroying the weapon. This skill was mass-learned by only 1 guild; The Guardians of the Round. But this was done in secret. No other guild was there except the GotR during the Joint raid. He accused them of murder but was dismissed because he had no proof of that actually happening during the raid. The leader of The Guardians declined all accusations. He even rebutted that there were no players in the guild who had a orange or red icon, indicating them as criminals. Due to this, Hayate has vowed to figure out who had placed the assassination order on this guild mates. Even if he has to become a criminal himself.

This ends the back story of Hayate, Blood Wind. Now it brings us to the present.

Well I think no one can argue that the back-story was brilliant, and I would gladly invite you to the server as a beta tester or roleplay assistant, but with the lack of proof of work, it will be hard for me (or anyone) to know how good you are in the game. Well great job in the back-story application and pm me your skype account for more!

By the way your back story character is quite overpowered (to the fact that he could win a duel in 15 seconds without trying), and we decided to limit the amount of people who are able to use the dual-blade weapon (since almost everyone applied for it), so you would have to use something else for now.

Well after reading your well thought-out work (sarcasm), I have concluded that you should be denied because of the lack of content in the backstory, too overpowered traits and too little information added in proofs. Well I hope you actually take more than 5 minutes to rewrite your application form. Until then, good luck.

Why do you want to be a staff: have been mods on other servers, until the owner shut them down, love helping people in minecraft, and i love building things (for the builder part...)

Also, in terms if building, i am a lot better in a desert resort kind of area then in plains, so i hope you have room for that

Umm I'm sorry but I'll have to deny you because you have posted too many staff applications, meaning you just want to quickly find a server with a ranked position, which may mean you would not put your time into it.

(OPTIONAL for Staff) In Character Information:
    Name (Japanese is Optional):
    IRL: Sengu Hakiro SAO:Sekiro

    Traits (Not to OP):
Since so much people are using characters with high agility, I decided to be a tank :P
Reckless Tanker, high armor/hp, medium damage and attack speed, low movement speed. Special attack: Holy Cry, sends a powerful shock wave that pushes and damages all enemies in an area and makes himself invulnerable for 5 seconds(or something like that :P )

Backstory (Can be Either Virtual Reality(VR) or Reality):

Sengu Hakiro was a very crafty student when he was enrolling in Hitashi High School. He often got in trouble with teachers and was known as Demon Sengu by the teachers. Most of the guys in the school look up to him as a role model (LOL). One day, while skipping school, he stumbled upon a long queue. He curiously lined up and managed to get the final copy of SAO, enraging others. When Sengu went home, he was grounded by his mother and sent to his room. He immediately put on the nervegear, not realizing the dangers he was about to face during the next two years......

(3 Months after SAO was released)
Sekiro fought bravely in the front lines and slowly rose in rank of his guild, the Sliver Shield. His abnormal shield wielding strength was renowned across SAO, as he would often charge with a shield rather than a sword. Sekiro and his guild feriously charges at the waves of Golems that spawned nearby. Sekiro did not have any real life friend in SAO except his sister, Ina Hakiro (Ikiro in SAO). They fought along side by side, ever since the beginning of SAO. After clearing up the few waves of Golems, a bonus loot gate was opened and the guild went inside, only to realize it was a trap. Skeletons which were tens of levels above them spawned and most of them were annihilated in 3-4 hits. Sekiro used everything to protect his sister, Ikiro, but as more of the guild fell, more of the skeletons descended upon them.

Ikiro realized that they had little hope and asked his brother, Sekiro, to kill her. Sekiro was frozen in fear. The only person whom had kept him together in SAO was his sister, and now she wants him to kill her? Tears streamed down his face. He closed his eyes and raised his sword. A skeleton was charging straight for him at that moment. When the skeleton swung its sword, a shock wave was released, obliterating it into ashes. Sekiro was the only person left in the room. He blamed himself for everything. After the quest, Sekiro used all of his time and loot from the event for training. He vowed to never let anyone die again.
