I haven't found a mod that does it for later releases of minecraft yet, but their is a mod that allows you to use the cauldrons for prerelease 2. That's the sole reason that I haven't updated beyond 1.9.2.
I agree with you. I was super exited when potions were added to the game and loved the cauldron system. However, the brewing stand is completely inferior, in my opinion. With the brewing stand, it takes extremely long to brew a potion, you can't see what is happening, and it gives the whole mechanic a completely different feel, for example. I am going to get a mod that put cauldrons back into the game. I think that, at the very least, Minecrafters should have the option to use either device for brewing potions.
On most accounts, I agree with you. However, I have been waiting for a great deal of time to get slimes to spawn at every level, so that I can get slime balls in my survival world. I think that that feature alone made the pre-release good enough to be a pre-release.
I always have a compass to get back home, a bucket of water in case I fall or encounter lava, lots of watermelon slices, my tools and weapons, torches and at least one lapis lazuli block for good luck.
You need to use a program like 7zip or WinRAR to extract the files zipped inside ClayGen.rar.
How would I get one of these programs? (I'm on a mac.)
Edit: I was able to get a program to extract the file, and I was able to run the mod! Thank You both, I've +1 all your posts and here are diamonds for you both
Alright, just let me know if you have any problems.
I downloaded the file and copied into a new minecraft.jar, and I started my game, but clay wasn't produced from the water coming in contact with running lava. I noticed that the file's name is ClayGen.rar, which is very different from the .class files I'm used to, so I may have downloaded it incorrectly, seeing as I used the .class file method of downloading it.
On a more positive note, I was able to play minecraft, the game didn't stall at the loading screen :smile.gif:
I downloaded the file I uploaded and tried it. It didn't work for me either. It must be the fact that I recompiled and re-obfuscated it in the folder where all of my other mods are kept.
Thank you very much, again :smile.gif: I'm currently on a smart phone and I won't be able to verify that it works until I return from a short vacation (tomarrow), but I'm very grateful for you doing this for me again :smile.gif:
Odd... Are you using 1.7.3? It worked fine when I tested it in MCP, but I can try looking again later. I have homework that I have to do tonight, though. Could you PM me with this?
I don't actually know how to send a pm, but I can say that I'm using 1.7.3
Edit2: I could even post the source if you like, it was literally just switching one BlockID out for another. :]
I tried to play on another account that does have other mods, but it didn't work, the screen lagged at the same spot. I also tried installing a new mod on a different account, and, again, my screen stayed at this point in each of these instances, I left my screen up for a few hours to see if there was any change in what happened. I would greatly appreciate any insight you can give on how to fix this problem. Thanks!
P.S. I'm aware that I bumped this, but I'm becoming somewhat desparate

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate what you have done. I'm going to try it out now. Once again, thanks!
Edit: I downloaded a completely new copy of minecraft, deleted the META-INF file, and moved the .class file into my minecraft.jar. However, when I go to play minecraft, it stalls at the done loading screen with the green bar across it. Do you have any idea why this is happening and what I could do to fix it?
Edit 2: My computer is a mac, not a P.C., would that have any affect on this whatsoever? (I know it's doubtful, but I figured I'd tell you, in case it is an important factor.)

Darn, it turns out that I won't arrived home, and be able to try out the adjusted mod, until Monday. :sad.gif:
