    My first reaction to the mod: "Well crap, it's not a Thaumic add-on to Tinker's Construct like the title suggests...dissapointment/10"

    My reaction to the mod after watching DW20's spotlight video: "Wow, this is the mod I've always wanted without ever realizing it!"

    But really, as awesome as I think this mod is, perhaps you could change its title at some point, as it does sort of imply that it's a Tinker's Construct expansion rather than a Thaumcraft one.

    Great job, love the mod a lot more than EBXL. One question though: you said you tweaked the vanilla biomes slightly. What exactly did you change? I found a couple vanilla biomes but didn't notice anything different.

    Nothing to do with meta inf.
    The more enchantments mod requires the player api which needs to be installed after optifine. Because not everyone has optifine the api is already installed. When I get some time I'll add a new jar for you with detailed instructions on how to install optifine.



    I'm guessing its a bug from applied energistics. Did you try again?

    Is anyone else getting this error because I'm not?


    Alright, thanks. This modpack has a lot of potential and I'd hate to miss out on it.

    I'm having trouble getting optifine to work with this modpack. I've tried adding optifine to the modpack.jar without touching the meta-inf folder, which just crashes the game with the message that minecraft failed to start. So I try removing meta-inf and get the same error. I've also tried putting optifine in the minecraft.jar, with and without that meta-inf with the same result.

    If you can get it to work, can you tell me exactly which version of Optifine you used and where you put it and what to do with the meta-inf? There are too many mods in the pack to have a playable framrate without it for me, thanks.

    The first crash.. try redirecting more RAM to your Minecraft, the second one is related with Applied Energistics.


    Odd since I have 6.5 gigs dedicated to Minecraft, but I'll try adding a bit more. And I don't know what the AE conflict could be since the item IDs don't conflict at all...but thanks!

    Hey, I've been having a problem getting the 1.4.7 version of Ars Magicka to work with the FTB pack despite the fact that there seem to be no ID conflicts or other such issues. I installed the mod and MCcore to the correct areas, and Forge registers Ars Magicka as installed on the list of Forge mods accessible on the Minecraft title screen.

    The game runs fine until I open the inventory; then I see the addition of the "player mana 0/50" to the regular inventory screen, but after a couple seconds on the inventory the game freezes and crashes.

    I checked the log, and got the following results at the end:

    Why you want to join: Vanilla Minecraft has grown stale for me, and although I love what the FTB pack does, it gets a bit lonely playing in SSP

    Any experience with mods such as tekkit and feed the beast: Lots of experience with Technic/Tekkit, and through my own personal modded jar I have experience with every mod included in FTB with a couple exceptions (advanced solar panels and thermal expansion mostly).

    Played multiplayer before?, how much: Yes; multiple vanilla servers and one tekkit server. I eventually left them all due to boredom over running out of things to do in vanilla/having the tekkit server shut down.

    So I've been trying to install the mods Direwolf used in season 4, but I just ran into a major issue.

    I've added all the mods in alphabetical order up to Thaumcraft, but when I add Thaumcraft the game crashes. The crash reports said it was due to item id conflicts with IC2. Okay, I thought, no big deal. I re configed the ids, but now when I add Thaumcraft it just goes to a black screen after the Minecraft logo with no crash report.

    I also saw on the Thaumcraft page there was a thaumcraft API which wasn't mentioned in Direwolf's post. I added it to the mods folder as well, but still the same black screen. Any ideas?

    Hey, I'm having an odd problem with sentry turrets. They simply refuse to shoot anything, even when I have them set to attack everything. The weird thing is, they were working just fine a couple days ago, but now (without me having adjusted any settings whatsoever), they mysteriously refuse to work. Anyone else had this issue?

    Are you updating the wireless remote for 1.4.2 or 1.4.4? I ask because I have a .minecraft folder I want to use the remote in that has over 30 mods installed...but is running 1.4.2 and is not going to update to 1.4.4 because I don't feel like waiting for dozens of mods to update because Mojang decided to make a ­ty bugfix update.
