The village and castle at spawn are up and running for people to get started in the world. We are currently in the middle of an underground dwarf city that will house shops, the main portal to the nether hub (yet to be constructed) and the main railway station. Previous map was up for over 2 years. Just started a new map with 1.11 so we've been going about 4 weeks on our way to hopefully another 2+ years. All building is in done in survival (hard mode).
Come check us out if you're 18+, looking for a long running vanilla server with friendly people and enjoy medieval building as much or more than "winning" the game.

What is your favorite building style?: Tudor and Medieval is what I mainly build. Minecraft lends itself so nicely to these styles that it's hard for me to get away from it. I'd like to try a steampunk build at some point, but that really isn't branching out much since a lot of steampunk builds look like medieval builds with a bunch of industrial looking items tacked on.
Really what I'd like to do if whitelisted is to build a small cottage on a lake or ocean and survive only on the items that I can catch while fishing or get dropped by hostile mobs. I do like community builds (roads, subways, nether hubs, mob farms, gardens), and wouldn't mind putting in time to help build those things as needed.

Why do you want to join? What are you looking for in a server?: I like vanilla minecraft and am currently on a server with little to no community left. It's like playing single-player. I'd like to find a small, friendly server where people stick around and play together for more than a few days
What's your favorite thing to do in Minecraft?: I like to build. Especially community projects (Roads, nether hubs, etc...).
When are you most likely to be online?: I'm on the US West Coast. During the week I'm on during the day but limited in the evenings currently. Weekends I tend to get on at any time if I'm not out of town.
Anything else you'd like to add about yourself?: New-ish player to MC. Only spent time on 1 other server so far.

Specialty: jack-of-all-trades, minus redstone. Haven't played much with it yet. Love community driven building projects though. Roads, nether hubs, etc...
MC server dislikes: I'm fairly new to minecraft and have only played on one other server where I OP. I dislike needy 12 year-olds that expect everything to be given to them and the angsty 14 year-olds who have nothing better to do than annoy the 12 year-olds.
Got on the 1.3.2 server today to try it out. Played for an hour or two but didn't see anyone else.
edit: A few highlights for anyone else who might want to try it out. The map spawn puts you in a snow biome. It looks like there is a ravine entrance pretty close to the spawn and a mountain biome with some nice peaks / overhangs not too far away.
