Well, the thing is, I can get a good $200 dollars worth for my birthday, and I don't think that waiting until November will out way that. Anyway, now that I looked, the AMD Phenom X4 955 Black Edition looks pretty kick-ass, ESPECIALLY with the motherboard bundles on Tiger Direct. That way I won't even need to worry about a compatibility. Please note, I don't need Crysis 2 running at 100 FPS, but just be adequate to run it tolerably.
Than wait. If you are getting the parts in November, prices will drop and the new Ivy chips will be out.
Not quite what I meant, my birthday is in five days, and I have 'till November to get all the parts. I would like to get some of the major components out of the way now, such as the CPU. So far, the best choice for a CPU seems to be the Core i7 2600.
I'm not sure, around $500, not really on a time limit, but by November would be nice. Also, to jimmybrite, I don't know what the hell your talking about, except the 2600k thing. I don't really know much computer vocabulary.
I'm asking for some computer components for my birthday, because my family doesn't really have the money to spend on a high-end gaming computer, but I don't know which ones to ask for. I'm a newb at this, and I'm looking through tutorials on how to make a computer. It seems that the most important part is the CPU, and the Intel Core i7 series is highly recommended, apparently. Problem is, I have NO IDEA which model of it to get. Help? (PS, I'm trying to build a computer capableof running games like Skyrim, even on low settings.)

Jesus Christ, that would be the worst town ever. I would probably live in a secluded corner of town, ignored and forgotten. Seriously, people here are like "I've never seen you before", yet I've seen and conversed with the same people many times. I've not once changed my avatar or username, and have been here since early October, yet I'm less known than a "Newly Spawned" member.

And considering my PS3 has been broken for 3 months and my parents haven't bothered fixing it, it could be quite a time before I'll be back.
