I totally recommend it. It has configurable EMC values and even calculates a lot of EMC values for you.

Sounds interesting! I will definitely keep an eye out for this game. Thanks for the response!

Wait, I'm confused, I thought you were done updating this? Not that I'm not happy with updates of course.

Eh, I already accepted that he has a life to live and I just gave up on this. I just thought maybe it had some fun toys for me to play around with. Oh well.

It'd help if you read the last few pages. Lots of things have been worked on lately, so it's definitely far from dead.
Red Matter is gone. Kapoot. Nadda Existencia.
Dark Matter is back, and has extended to Fishing Poles amongst other things.
There are now quite a few Matter types besides Dark Matter, including, but not limited to: Amorphous Matter, Void Matter and Omni Matter.
The Minium Stone now has a new way of being made.
A research system is being worked on.
GUIs are being worked on, though Pahimar has found them to be ugly and painful.
Hmmmm.... EMC has been replaced by a Dynamic Energy System due to the fact that there are multiple types of matter and energy now.
So yeah, if you want to keep updated, I recommend these two sites since MCF is a horrible place to try and edit any posts these days:
Can you actually make or use any of the items mentioned if the research system isn't functioning? Do the different matters actually work in any way, shape or form?
Jul 10, 2014If I may offer my opinion on a few things, the limit of four shapes/modifers per casting group, along with the removal of casting modes, severely limits and cripples the power of spells, and takes away the fun of designing original and complex spells. The mana system does seem to work better this time around (it recharges faster from what I've seen), so that's a great change. The armor infusion system is an amazing addition, and it perfectly balances because of how hard it is to achieve top tier infusions. Fury needs to be severely nerfed or completely removed, because I can make a two minute fury spell that allows a diamond sword to do 36 damage per hit, and the only repercussion is 10 seconds of hunger and nausea. Finally, thank goodness you added a heal timer, I couldn't stop using Heal+lifetap, but at least lifetap doesn't instantly kill you now.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
I hope this feedback is useful to you.

Regarding mana cost...mana works vastly differently in 1.2, so we'll need to see how that goes first.
With reagents and mana working differently and casting modes gone (replaced by casting shapes), I'm starting to feel more and more like I won't be a powerful archmage with this mod anymore.

I didn't say 90% in everything, I said 90% in half the affinities.
Which doesn't work...

Is life tap>Heal fixed in the upcoming version?

I did it!!! I finally got the battle chicken. That fifth line was a bit misleading. In case anyone is wondering it is not a spell component like the silver skills are. If you craft your spell with all the right components, instead of the mob you put into the recipe, you will get the battle chicken instead.
Now I'm wondering, is there any way to summon a lich like in AM1? The mob textures are still there.
Also does the possibility exist of summoning tower guardians?
Also what are the chest golem and santa hat that you have textures for?
Please tell me exactly how you got it please please please please please.

Derp - I just remembered that if you turn the mob griefing gamerule off, the earth guardian won't damage terrain...
Sometimes I think this mod has too many features >.<
Well this whole argument was pointless. Thanks for the help though.
Jun 1, 2014Oh you're making a fix? I didn't want it now, I just wanted to know if you would consider adding a config to change it in the future.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
Edit: I was told there was no version for Hawkeye for our current version, plus Idk if it could reverse the damage done via Earth Guardian. Plus, we do have something to record who places down the blocks, the griefers, or rather griefer with multiple accounts, was already banned. You would think he would behave and not go round saying he was banned twice already.
May 31, 2014Yeah, well, thanks for the help guys. I'll just ask players to expand their towny borders a bit, if they can afford it.Posted in: Minecraft Mods
May 30, 2014Please Mithion, I'm not just gonna drop this. There needs to be a config, people are using the Earth Guardian summon to bypass towny. What they are doing is summoning it just outside the border of towns to break stuff. Please add some kind of config to either disable specific guardians for spawning for for the earth guardian to not break stuff.Posted in: Minecraft Mods

Wow so far the comments aren't liking this cool thing that they added to Minecraft (it is a nice feature you got to admit). which I am glad they added now since we have been waiting for this since Minecon.
The comments don't like it because it isn't necessary. It's COOL, don't get me wrong, but we really want the bug fixes and performance tweaks first.

Honestly, for every update they release, they get more subs/accounts. More and more people are playing the game, which generally means, more bug posts, which generally means, more updates, fixes and additional features with the game. You're also making it sound like modders have to update their stuff immediately regardless of their situation/time constraints. Let's look at RedPower for example, that mod hasn't been updated since 1.4.6/1.4.7, people are still playing 1.4.6/1.4.7 because of that mod. The whole reason why Eloraam isn't updating immediately is because she has IRL things to take of first, plus, not to mention, the whole "greed" with mods and this game has basically turned her away from updating the mod as well (as what i got from her blog post a while ago). People need to stop feeling so damn entitled to things around here.
That's my $0.02 anyways.
Now back on topic, the 1.7 update looks awesome! So much new content added! Can't wait til the release! I especially like the "secret settings", haha.
P.S: I noticed someone a few pages back whining about stained glass, that was requested WAY back in beta, BEFORE any of those mods added it in. Seems like that person is confused who's work is "original". Makes me happy they finally added it.
IRL things to take care of, yeah right. Direct quote from Eloraam's twitter, " I was hoping to have a big announcement by now, but things are taking more time than I expected. Who's bright idea was DOTA anyway?" She basically quit, so if people stay on 1.4.7 for Redpower 2, that's on them. And don't call me confused, Minefactory Reloaded and Forestry both already have stained glass, along with fancy glass, and any other number of mods that already added it because Mojang decided they didn't want to do it right now. Mojang still doesn't come up with their own ideas, and you still haven't proven anything. Also, what data do you have that proves more people are playing?
As for entitled, I never said modders need to keep modding, I'm saying that Mojang should do things a bit more practically, there doesn't need to be so many updates so fast.

Oh come on, you know that's simply not true. Apart from the minor bug-fix releases, we've had...
1.6.1 (Horse) July 1
1.5 (Redstone) March 13
1.4.2 (Pretty Scary) October 25 2012
1.3.1 August 1, 2012
Hardly 'every 2 weeks'.
Even if you count the minor updates, we've had;
1.6.4 September 19
1.6.2 July 8
So by 'every two weeks' I suppose you really mean 'every 3 months or so'.
They keep breaking mods, its getting seriously ridiculous. More and more modders are quitting, and mods are essentially whats keeping Minecraft alive at this point. Mojang doesn't do ANYTHING original with their work. As for the every two weeks thing, sorry, I am atrocious with time, and I was exaggerating on top of my bad time keeping.

Somebody doesn't appreciate all the HARD WORK AND SWEAT MOJANG HAS PUT INTO THIS UPDATE!!!!!!!!
How about instead of being a jerk to Mojang, you appreciate what Mojang has given you.
We don't have to appreciate what someone worked hard for. I wish they would stop adding features until they make the mod API. You also don't have to make a release for every single change you make to the game. Mojang needs to stop releasing an update every two weeks so mods can have a chance to catch up, then release the mod API when it is fully ready.
