Also, it may take me a bit longer to finish the project than was first estimated. Although not necessary, there's a certain special thing out front of my library I also want done when I make a tour video. So it may take me a day or so longer, but it shall be completed!
It's going to require some diamond, so here's hoping I'm lucky for the next few hours!
Awesome! I did not expect so many replies, nor much of a want to see the finished project! I will definitely find a way to show it off. Either pictures, video, or perhaps I will even Procast it!
Either way, I'm off to collect some more materials to put the finishing touches on it. I'll try to have it all finished by tonight. So I'll probably show it off tomorrow.

I am in the process of making a rather epic library, it's almost finished. It will end up using somewhere around 4,000 planks and well over that number in stone. Not to mention the 1,200 bookcases. And not one bit of it was hacked, all resources were gathered in a legit manner.

I am going to have a wall, dedicated to the things people say here, in this forum topic. If you want your statement, meaningful lament, crass remark, crushing criticism, or wise words put up on a plaque, please say so.

I agree with Jor_727 completely. This would solve the issue. Peaceful does not cause torches to go out, anything harder does. This, in my humble opinion, is one of the best solutions I have heard so far.
Craft:
1,3,7,9 all have iron ingots .
4,5,6 all have glass .
Effects:
Allows the use to zoom in with two different levels of zoom by right clicking.

2 and 5 have sticks .
8 has crops .
Effects:
Can right click on blocks with snow on them to almost instantly remove it (faster than a shovel!)
Can also permanently delete dropped items on the ground.

1,2,3,4,6,7,8, and 9 are filled with Iron Ingots .
5 has glass .
Effects:
Equips to the users head armour slot (whether it should give actual protection or not I don’t know).
Would allow the user to breath underwater for a limited time.
I’m thinking either its health would deteriorate over time, or it would simply give the user more bubbles when he’s/she’s underwater. Either way, diving time should be increased to about 2 to 3 minutes.

Drill: (To anyone who’s seen Gurren Lagann)
Craft: 1,2,3 Iron Ingots .
5,8 is Gold Ingots .
Effects:
Can easily drill through dirt objects, rock objects, and just about anything else.
If you drill straight up, it will pull you up along with it (not through the air, but only when there’s stuff to be drilled through).

Spinning Wheel:
Craft:
1,2,3,4,6 is wood planks .
5 is a Gold Ingot .
Effects:
Can spin wool into 6 strings. And 6 strings into wool.
Cost efficient! And it allows the user to make bows even if there are no spiders around.

Telescope:
Craft:
1,2,7,9 have Gold Ingots .
3 has glass .
Effects:
When placed, it can be moved by destroying it and picking up the dropped item. Right clicking on it allows the user to look into the distance with three different zoom levels (stronger than the binoculars!).
Can rotate and look around in a cone shaped arc, but by no more than 90 degrees from where it was looking when it was built.
