Another thing to note GotoLink, as a suggestion. I was wondering if it's not too much trouble, if you could add Zinc as an ore to Steamcraft, which is smeltable into zinc ingots, and use that instead of iron ingots for Brass, considering that's more accurate. Just seems to weird to use iron ingots in order to make brass. ^^; If not it's whatever, just one of the things that bothered me a little about the original mod, even though the majority of the mod is awesome.
Edit: I was also wondering if you have a mod with copper ingots, is the purified copper considered copper dust as to smelt into those ingots?
So GotoLink, in your updated version of Steamcraft, there is both copper and redstone now? Just what information you've given makes it look like - because if so that's awesome yay compatibility with other mods now. If that's the case think you'd be able to add compatibility with Thaumcraft 4 as well? Aspects and stuff.
Edit: By the way you're awesome for updating all these discontinued mods.
Can't wait for this to be updated, I love all the mobs... well with exception to the creepers. I find them somewhat odd. Does anyone actually like those creepers? I find all the other mobs add something interesting to minecraft, but the creepers seem to just be annoying - I usually disable them. I'd rather have interesting variations of the vanilla creeper. Here some examples I had in mind.
Skeletal Creeper - Moves much faster, but clinks like a skeleton instead of hisses, explosion much weaker. Drops bone, lower chance of gunpowder than a normal creeper however.
Inferno Creeper - Nether creeper that actually doesn't die when it explodes, it will keep trying to explode over and over again until killed by the player. Drops Blaze Powder.
Stalker Creeper - Creeper that can go invisible, upside is it takes much longer to explode, but the explosion is much stronger - closer to a charged creeper blast. Chance to drop an invisibility potion, more likely to drop gunpowder as well.
Man, gotta say. Between you and Azanor I have a lot of things to look forward to in the future for Minecraft... All I need is for Eloraam to come out of nowhere and say RedPower is close to being updated before my head explodes from sheer joy. owo
Thaumic Tinkerer 2 is being developed alongside and for Thaumcraft 4. I don't believe there's any intent to alter TT1, but TT2 will not have the transmutator.
Is that so? Well I guess that solves a lot of things then. Thank you. I can't wait to have TC4 and TT2 to play with :9
That enchanter is looking awesome, will that be released in a 1.5.2 version or are you going to wait for Thaumcraft 4? Also I was wondering if you are doing any work for mod support for the Transmutator so it's unneccessary to remove it in config? Honestly if not possible I'd rather just have a toggle int he config to disable recipes for major mods (like TE, forestry, etc.) that are major offenders of the imbalanced transmutations, rather than remove the entire item D: it's so useful for vanilla and thaumcraft items.
On another note. Whenever the new version of Thaumcraft is released, how do you think the changes Azanor is working on will effect thaumic tinkerer? Just speculation, but it's interesting to think about.
Ah well. Was worth a shot. Out of curiousity though, why aren't you interested? Never cared for Balkon's or just don't want to add mod support that can't also be used to some degree with just TC and vanilla minecraft? Or something else? Just something I want to consider if I think of something else I'd like to suggest for Thaumic Tinkerer in the future.
I see someone already asked about EBXL, was wondering if you could possibly support Highlands? It doesn't add as much wood as either EBXL or BoP, but it's world generation is onpar (if not arguably superior) to BoP, it just adds a lot less content. I love BoP to death, but I feel they are adding way too much content that is usually added by other mods and the overlap is really messing with mod cohesion that I'm sure some people would agree with. So some alternate cross compatibility packs for other world gen mods for Bibliocraft would be swell.
Sdj64, said it before. I'll say it again. I really love your biome mod and I might return to using it once everything I use has updated to 1.6.2 (or anything in the future). I went back to BoP for a while because o fthe interesting nether biomes and the like.. but. I think the BoP devs have taken their mod way too far away from being a biome mod. I want to see this mod grow and be a wonderful alternative to BoP (without the nonsense of all the added tools... dimensions... and the like).
I hope to see more mod support for this or from this in the future. I don't know if your items have thaumcraft aspect support (I hope they do!) and I'd love to see Bibliocraft item versions of your wood types. Maybe a full on support of Forestry eventually.
I look forward to where you take this mod in the future, just please I beg of you... don't take the path that BoP did. Minecraft needs a good biome mod that doesn't try to be everything at once. >.>
Hey Vazkii, I had a suggestion for potential awesome items for Thaumic Tinkerer... Balkon's WeaponMod support. Think of all the potential thaumium items and upgraded versions of weapons you could do! Magipunk muskets and pistols... so many cool stuff! Balkon's mentioned that he felt mod support should be done by addons, and honestly... I think Thaumic Tinkerer is a wonderful outlet for such things.

It seems to be a relatively simple change.
